On August of 2024 I made an agreement with Freedom Forever to install solar at my residence. No down payment was required. I signed a contract for approximately $62k. A new roof was installed on the house even though we had discussed doing house and shop. So on reroof day, only the house was done and we verbally agreed to just do the house and not the shop too as this would save Freedom from having to do alot more work such as second electronically panel, and trenches done between the buildings adding additional costs. ALWAYS was tree removal needed. (One tree at both sites). When the solar was put on extra panels were put on per Freedom not me! No mention was ever made of the additional panels until I got the new bill to sign. My salesman even said "cool looks like they gave you extra panels"! Again no mention of additional costs.Inspection came, it didn't pass. They had even stepped through my ceiling while installing wires and I said no problem. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I get a nasty letter saying they are putting a mechanical lein on my house if I don't sign new paperwork with additional fees. They were unable to tell me what the charges were for just wanted me to sign without seeing the contract. I advised them I couldn't see the contract and Enfin says they are unable to view it until I sign? Freedom says talk to Enfin, Enfin says talk to Freedom Forever and I get nothing but run around. I have been waiting with solar on my roof for 4+ months and now get a nasty letter when I start asking for questions. None of the answers match. I asked repeatedly to see the document in writing which was never provided. I did finally today get a verbal from Freedom stating they were now charging for the additional panels, the tree removal, and the Roof. I want answers why after 6 + months I am now getting a change order and why they are unwilling to honor the initial quote/contract I signed. Items not on contract should not have been done w/o an ok !Business Response

Enfin sold me a loan for solar panels that do not function as promised. They refuse to cancel the loan, they refuse to talk with me and continue to hang up the phone on me in mid-sentence. They are a fraudulent companyBusiness Response

I do not accept their message that 'they will get back to me.'
They are involved in a scam with Green Light Solar. They sell loans for fault products. The consumer is promised 100% Energy Independence, but the panels in the end only produce 40%. The consumer ends up paying a huge utility bill on top of the leased product. Its a HUGE SCAM!

Dear **** Shovaly,
Thank you for your feedback. Our internal notes indicates that your solar installer had been in touch with you on/about April 3rd to resolve any outstanding issues. The installer confirmed that your system is functioning correctly.Additionally, the technician reported that his attempt to check certain electrical outlets for damage was met with a hostile reaction, which caused him to leave the site for safety reasons.
EnFin believes all reasonable efforts have been made by the installer to resolve any outstanding issues, and denies that any promises were made. This matter should be considered resolved.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. Thank you.

***** ****** of Freedom Forever - ************ came to our house and convinced us to add solar panels. We previously had panels installed, but were inadequate to save us money. ***** and his partner convinced us to add panels that would pay for themselves. We told them that we have a problem with birds nesting under the existing panels. We were told that the installers would add "critter guards". When the installers came out they said that they were not told about the guards and did not have the appropriate materials to install them but would see if there were any other installers in the area who did have the materials and, if not, would be back the following week to install them. Since February the guards have not been installed and ***** hasn't returned my calls, nor has the installer responded to my email. Meanwhile, the birds wake us up every morning. We would like the guards installed. I did get a quote from The Pigeon Guy who wanted $1,000 to install the guards on the first set of panels.Business Response

Guy came knocking on our door and we set up an appointment for him to come back to talk to us sometime in October of 2024. Then a different guy showed up in late October 2024 to talk to us about solar panels. He told us that we would only have one bill after everything was up and running because we would produce our own electricity then Evergy would just give us a statement instead of a bill and then we would just pay our solar panel bill. I asked him if we would only have one bill for both the electricity and solar panels multiple times and he kept saying yes, WE WERE LIED TO! We were told that our payment would be about a $170 a month so we were thinking that's cheaper than our current electric bill and could save some money, so we told him we were interested. So Ecovole put our solar panel application through EnFin finance company. We got approved and they installed the panels about 2 weeks later on November 6, 2024. By December 6, 2024, they turned on our solar panels. We noticed right away that they weren't producing enough electricity to power our house. We just figured it was because of the winter weather but now that we've had a little bit better weather, we noticed we're not producing enough to self-sustain which results in us getting a bill from the solar system and a bill from Evergy. It's not what we had agreed to. We were also under the impression that we would be paying around $44,000 but after I had a qualified accountant look at it, we're going to end up paying $70,000. Our bill was supposed to be $170 a month and then we find our we'll be paying $170 a month for 18 months then $250 a month after that for 25 years WE WERE LIED TOO AGAIN! When we tried to get a copy of the contract, it took EnFin a little over a week to get it to us. If i would have known all this before we signed i would have never signed.Business Response

My complaint is about misrepresentation of the product and incentives from the Sales person. I admittedly did not shop around when they came to my door. He falsely sold me on the benefits. He said their engineers would create a personalized system that would handle all of my energy needs for a house my size. I went into depth about this claim. He said their hotter months I would have to pay some extra and I felt that was fine. Not one month have I not had an electric bill while not using more than normal electricity. So now Im essentially paying double a month for my energy needs. The second issue is they told me I would get a 30 percent tax credit but I was expected to give that to them to keep my bill at its price which I was fine with. The issue is they do not tell us that the tax incentive is based on your tax obligation so that ************************************************************** to pay the full 30 percent this first year. I called and the employee was rude and made it clear they didnt care and would not work with me and if I dont pay out of my own money my bill will go up. This is unreasonable, I got this to save money yet Im now double charged and they want to now steal my savingsBusiness Response

This pertains to the installation at ********************************************* for ****** ****** Ever since installing solar, our cost of electricity has increased. We are aware of seasonality effects (lower solar production in winter months) and that the amount of electricity consumed will impact the bill. However, the price has increased even on a $/kWh basis. For the October and November billing cycles, we paid SCE an average of $379 for each month (average usage *****kWh). For the ******* billing cycle (first full cycle since receiving permission to operate), we paid SCE $174 and EnFin $300 for a total of $474 (total consumption of *****kWh). The installation is faulty, as we are being charged approximately double by the utility (Southern California ******* for every kWh imported from the grid according to the solar inverter (SolarEdge). As an example, For the first 17 days of February, the inverter shows that 201kWh was imported from the grid; SCE is showing consumption of 394kWh.We have been speaking continuously with the seller (Babio), installer (Freedom Forever), financing provider (EnFin), and service provider (********), none of whom have been willing to help. We have raised two separate complaints with EnFin, which they have failed to address. Nobody has been to the site to inspect the system despite repeated requests for a physical review of the equipment.Business Response

- Date of Transaction: 2-10-2025 - Issue Of Concern: Solar Home Improvement Loan Contract Agreement - Summary of Incident: I've been making bi-monthly payments of $250 since Sep 2024, equivalating to $2,750. I reviewed my payment statement history, and it showed that all my payments have been going to interest and nothing to principal. I reached out and spoke with EnFin Agent ******, who explained that my account started accuring daily interest of about $16 since disbursement in Jul of 2024, but since I didn't start making payments until Sep 2024 - I was behind on interest. However, during onboarding, I was told payments didn't have to be made until Sep 2024 and was NEVER advised of a daily interest of $16. If I knew there was a daily interest clause of $16 I would have not agreed to this Solar Home Improvement Loan and I would have immediately started making payments. I was brief about the interest rate which is currently at *****% but I was NEVER MADE AWARE of a daily acurring interest of $16. After delving deeper into the situation, the agent started to unravel a bunch of hidden stipulations that were NEVER advised to me from day one. The representative was patient but extremely deflective about the issues at hand and was not willing to help me escalate my request and advised there is nothing they can do about it.Business Response

Im being double billed by Teco and sunlight. The purpose of the agreement was to eliminate the teco bill by installing the solar panels. The company claims I use more energy than agreed on the contract. The sales person asked for the teco bill to determine the amount of panels and stated I need more panels. I want them to take their panels back as they dont save me any money per our agreement they lied to me and didnt provide the correct service based on my usage.Business Response

The business has yet to call me and will not do so. I contacted them in the past and their response has been to contact the sales person for a solution. The sales person took over a month to respond and wanted to sell more solar panels to resolve the issue. They shouldnt known I needed more panels based on my Teco bill as that is why they as for it. This is very unprofessional of their part and it is not a solution. I want them to take their panels back for misleading.

Good day,
We have been investigation the issues surrounding the client's complaint and have been working to resolve the issues noted in the client's complaint. In order to do so, we have reached out to the client multiple times but have not been able to make contact with her. In a show of good faith, we additionally have sent the team who installed the client's solar panel system to her home to have the system looked at on 03/03/2025. On that day, the installation team has advised that they were turned away from the client's home as this was not a good time for her to have the system looked at. As of today, the client has not provided the installation team, nor EnFin a utility bill which would allow the installation team the ability to right size the client's system, and which would thus alleviate the issues outlined in their complaint. We remain committed to ensuring that we address the client's concerns. but in order to do so, we require the client's cooperation. We will continue to be in communication with the client to assist her further.
Sincerely,
EnFin

We entered into a Solar Panel "lease"Contract to be financed by Enfin corp in October 2024. Panels were installed and operational Nov. 5. A monitoring app was provided. December panels appeared to not be operating so I called Enfin for resolution but they said we did not have an account, yet we were receiving emails about our upcoming billing cycle on Dec 14. Solar Edge App was showing some production and was noted on our *************** bill. On Jan 8th our production and consumption were mirroring and I contacted Solar Edge the monitoring system. I was told there was no import export connection on one inverter and the other inverter was off line. I contacted the installer Freedom Forever and was told I needed a *** number from Enfin before they could repair. I contacted Enfin on Monday Jan 27th and they referred me to Omnidian. They are refusing to provide the *** number to have the installer make the repairs. We made our first $207.00 payment January 7th and the mirroring started occurring January 8th. This lack of production will result in an energy bill for consumption as there has been no production since Jan 8th. The panels will continue to not work and we will be forced to continue to pay the $207.00 installment. This is a breech in contract as we agreed to WORKING solar panels. The expectation is to be reimbursed of all of the energy costs during this time of non working panels immediately and to be provided with the necessary documentation to have the repairs done immediately.Business Response
