I received a phone call from Student Aid Group about repaying back my student loan. After speaking to them I received a message from my federal student loan representative at the ** ********** of ********** We are contacting you about potentially suspicious activity on your federal student loan account. We believe you may be working with a third-party company that is charging you, or will charge you, a fee for a service that is offered for free through the U.S. ********** of ********* ***** The potentially suspicious activity that we detected involves a suspicious login to your federal student loan account.

Horrible, fraudulent, poor communication. On May 31 they called me and offered to help with documentation for student loan forgiveness. They told me I qualified for $8k worth of forgiveness, which is a lie. According to my later research, none of my loans qualify for forgiveness. I am not a public servant, or anything like that. But I didn't realize my mistake until after I had signed up with them. Well, I called them back and left a message on multiple lines asking them to cancel my account. I heard back once, and them they stopped returning my calls. I did NOT get an email confirming my account's cancellation. However, they did attempt to charge my credit card. (It did not go through since I had locked my card.) I am very disappointed in this company's behavior. They are clearly scammers. You do not need "help documenting" student loan forgiveness, even if you qualify. They're just out here trying to get your $$$. Do NOT fall for this like I did.

Hello ****, Your review is false and misleading. You signed up with our company on 05/31/2022 at 9:10 am PST. We received your cancellation request later that day at 9:45 am PST and one of our Representatives at our cancellations Department reached out to you 05/31, same day at 12:09 pm PST and left you a voice mail to confirm the cancellation of your account. Any payments scheduled within the system were cancelled at the time of your cancellation therefore our company DID NOT attempt to take any payments from you. If you would have further researched the program you would have found out that there is a program for Public Servants and also for borrower's that do not fall under that category with different terms. Therefore our company did not mislead you or SCAM you if you would have given us the given time to actually perform our services you would have known that but you cancelled hours after you signed up. With that being said we wish you the best in the future.

Hello, That is not true. I did receive a voicemail on the same day, as you say. However, the voicemail asked me to call the person back. The voicemail did NOT confirm my cancellation. In addition, I emailed and called multiple times and asked for an email confirmation, which I never received, and still have not received. So, no, I did not receive confirmation. And I find it highly unprofessional to not receive callbacks. Furthermore, of course I know of the program for Public Servants. I was pointing out in my review that I do NOT qualify for that or any other loan forgiveness programs. I know because I researched it on my own.

Do not trust them. They told me 3 times they dissolved my loan to 600 bucks. Then after two payments a rep calls saying that money is not going to my loan but for 600 they will dissolve my loan and there won't be any additional payments. I saw red flags so I called around and found the company who actually had control over my loan. They said that student aid group had no authority to dissolve it for any set price. There one of those company's trying to confuse people and are very misleading. It's a scam.

Hello Ginger, Your review has taken us by surprise. Being that we are actively working on your account to get everything processed and completed and we are in active communication with you. I am not sure why you did not just contact us to speak to us regarding your concerns. Our company is not by any means a Scam, the process can take from 90- 120 days and we still actively working on your account. You assigned processor will be getting in contact with you to figure our what you will like to do with your account. Thank you.

I just received my letter from the Student ************** and my old student aid lender, both letters told me that I qualify for the forgiveness and that as long as my financial situation did not change over the next 3 years the full amount of $80K would be forgiven. I am thankful that I got letters from the Student ************** as well as *********** Bank, this just was an added layer of proof that my team was not a scam. The process takes time. It is slow but it is well worth it. I qualified because of a medical reason and so there is additional work I had to do with my doctor but again that is worth the forgiveness. THANK YOU R.S. For all your help!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I have just spent the last 2 hours on the phone with the Federal Student ********************** (who confirmed that this company is a scam, please call them for yourselves rather than trusting this business's responses -- you can get their info from studentaid.gov), ****, and my bank. I was reached out to sometime early this year about a "loan forgiveness" program and had 2 payments of $195 taken from my bank account yet I had ******* reaching out to me and ask me to provide my password for studentaid.gov (WHICH NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD. Thankfully I didn't)!! When I challenged this she said she could accept the password or the first 5 of my social. If someone asking for the first 5 of your social isn't a scam, I don't know what is. I'm writing this review first and then reporting this company to the ****

Hello ******* *** information asked from you (Social) Simply is to verify that we are in fact speaking to the correct person. ***y are measures that we must take for your security. In our contract it is stated that we need specific information to process your file which you signed. All this information is listed in your contract you were given enough time to review that. If you had any questions or concerns you could have reached out to your assigned processor or client care before writing this untruthful and harmful review to our business. This review comes as a shock due to the fact that before today you have not made any request to properly cancel your account. Our cancellations team will be in contact with you to go over your cancellation request. We wish you the best in the future.

Going forward, I will only speak accredited businesses about this matter considering when you ****** your company name the first suggestion that pops up is "student aid group scam". When your representative reached out to me in regards to a refund they said, verbatim, "scams will never try to reach out to you". Everyone and their mother has received a "car's extended warranty" call so I'm not sure how that was supposed to be reassuring at all. I will speak with my bank to see if it is appropriate to speak to your company further.
