      I was initially told by Guardian that I had a much larger tax liability than we did. Consequently being naive they conned me into giving them $15,000 They misled me into believing that we were liable for over ******* to IRS due to the fact that they said we owed money on the sale of our primary residents in which we resided for 22.years. We had no liability. They also claimed that we had back taxes that we had not paid there were circumstances that were being mediated at the time but they also claim that taxes were not filed for 2 years which was absolutely false. We had hired another CPA firm who claimed that they were grossly mistaken and that our tax liability was minimal. Since we began dealing with Guardian tax we have never received a statement an itemized breakdown or even an email as to what the status was and what they have done for the money that we have paid. The only thing that we have received from Guardian in the last 12 months were automatic email sent out telling us to sign documents for taxes that were already being handled which I had already explained to them twice. I am a 70 year old senior I believe they took advantage of me. My wife has been hospitalized we have incurred a tremendous amount of medical debt and I would like to recover my money so I can pay my bills.

      This client has an extremely complex case with a lot of moving parts; the client is also dealing with several other stressful situations in life outside of this tax issue, namely the health concerns of his wife, as he mentioned.  Furthermore, we have already filed business tax returns for him as well as prepared several other returns that are pending the clients signature.  At the start of his case this client had many unfiled tax years; we provided him projections on what he might owe once those returns are filed.  The client confused those projections with his actual tax liability.  Thankfully our tax prep department was able to maximize write offs and deductions leaving him only owing approx $120k to the ****  Our team is working closely with him and after some discussion with him he realized that we had already completed much more work than he acknowledged in this complaint.  **************** is our top priority, no matter how big or small the case our team is dedicated to providing competent representation before the ****

      I am responding to their response to my complaint that I filed several months ago. These people have no clue as to what they're doing they have lied they have not filed any corporate taxes. I have begged them for a invoice for the $15,000 that I gave them as to what they have done repeatedly they have ignored my request. This case may be complex only because they have created a big part of that complexity they have made mountains out of molehills because they don't know what they're doing. I can't believe that I have used such an unprofessional organization to deal with my current liability that they have completely misrepresented. Their excuses are unfounded and pitiful and I won't stand for anything less than a full refund so I can move my circumstances to a legitimate ************************* or a tax lawyer. They have Amplified my problem by ignoring my request they have asked me to sign documents without a conversation with me in months. They have suggested that I sign tax documents for tax years that were already filed. I am not going to allow them to deceive the Better Business Bureau and get out of the responsibilities they have to make this right. They acknowledge that they overcharged me in the beginning but they've done nothing to resolve the issue in fact they've done nothing at all. Most recently they decided to file my tax return without having a discussion with me causing me to owe capital gains on my primary residence without any discussion with me whatsoever not understanding that I put a tremendous amount investment in the property I was at for 22 years none of that was put into this tax return causing me a liability of additional $57,000. I request that they send a Better Business Bureau documentation proving that they've done the amount of work that they claim is worth $15,000 what organization does not give you a breakdown as to what they're doing for the money not once. I hope BBB doesn't allow them to continue to lie.

      To reiterate our initial response this client's case is extremely complex with a lot of moving parts and several family members involved.  Our head Enrolled Agent and Tax Prep Manager have spoken to this client and resolved this issue by helping the client to sort through the case complexities.

      I spoke with a representative of Guardian Tax in September 2023, who assured me that they would prepare two years of overdue taxes. They collected my payments of $600 quickly. To date there has been no work. I have called and emailed several times and ******* always says they will call me right back. I have received no calls back and no returns have been prepared.

      There is a miscommunication here; this clients tax returns have been prepared and delivered to the client via email pending her review and signature.  We have spoken to the client on multiple occasions.  We sent her the returns on 1/9/23 and didn't receive the complaint until 1/10/23.

      I was contacted by Guardian to help with a large tax debt. It was presented that they would reduce the taxes that I owe. They were not able to help with the issue due to the fact that I was in an active bankruptcy. They knew that from our initial conversation but never explained that and charged $3095.00 to start the process. When the agent called with that information we agreed that this was a mistake by the person who took all my information. I spoke to the agent and he said they would be processing a refund as under the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Laws, the were not allowed to take any money without it being cleared by the Trustee. This has now been going on for approximately 2 to 3 months. I have e mailed the company with no response and today I finally spoke to someone on the phone who tried to make it seem like I misunderstood the situation and that he now how to speak to his superiors. He stated that this was the first he heard of it. He said he would get back to me at the end of the week and this was not the first time they failed to get back to me. I am not optimistic that they will follow through. They took my only very quickly and it should be returned quicky

      In around June 2022, I was contacted by telephone by a representative for Guardian Tax who offered to help me resolve my tax liability/dispute with the **** He charged approximately $2100.00 for the service, and agreed to take payment over 3 months, saying that they would deal with the *** and come to an agreement to diminish my liability. I had experienced extreme frustration when dealing with the ***, and agreed to his proposal, and handed over my credit card details. I was then contacted by ******* from Guardian tax who asked for documents which I provided. I had remained in contact with *******, who seemed like she was a customer representative, but who did not actually perform the work. I was never given the opportunity to discuss my case with an actual practitioner, despite having asked numerous times. ******* contacted me saying that they had reached a non collectible agreement with the ***, and that this was the end of their involvement. I was confused, and needed clarity as to the consequences, only to be told that the *** would not continue with their claim since I no longer owned any immovable property. I told her that I was planning to purchase another home and was worried about the consequences of such action. She passed me off in a flippant manner, and refused to take my further calls to her, and never responded to messages I left. I feel that had I known from the outset that a lien would be granted by the *** -- which inevitably happened -- I would never have allowed Guardian tax to act on my behalf, and paid them what I did. I have now consulted with another organization to have the lien reversed and my name cleared.Please see attachments.

      The guardian cheated me out of 495 dollars and did absolutely no work. They sent me a copy of my taxes that I filed from the past 20 years. Thats it! The $495 dollars was disputed when I tried to get it returned. There was a *************************** who handled the beginning of this process. I spoke to *************************** and said ******* was let go and doesnt work with the company. I have the paperwork that ****** sent me and its worthless. I want my $495 dollars back. Guardian had thee audacity to dispute and they absolutely did no work on my taxes for 2019, 2020, 2021!!

      ON AUGUST 11TH I CALLED GUARDIAN TAX, I SPOKE TO *********************, Senior Settlement Officer, HE STATED FOR $585 THEY WOULD LOOK INTO MY TAX ISSUE AND RETURN MY CALL. I STATED THAT IS ALOT OF $$, HE SAID THEY COULD TAKE $195 EACH MONTH AND WHILE I MAKE MY PAYMENTS, THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE TO FIND OUT HOW THEY WOULD RESOLVE MY TAX ISSUE. HE GAVE ME CONTACT INFO AND HE STATED THEY WOULD CALL WITH 10 DAYS WITH A RESOLUTION. I AGREED TO THOSE TERMS. ON SEPTEMBER 9TH I CALLED TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. NO ONE HAD CALLED AND REQUESTED AN UPDATE. I COULD HEAR THE RECEPTIONIST STATE THIS IS ONE OF ******************. THAT IS WHEN I SPOKE TO ***************************, HE APOLOGIZED, FOR THE NO RESPONSE. HE CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN THEY WOULD NEED THE FULL AMOUNT OF $585 BEFORE ANY WORK IS DONE. SO I PAID THE REST, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS ALOT FOR ME TO PAY. HE STATED THEY WOULD NOW TO THE INVESTIGATION TO FIND OUT WHAT I OWED AND WOULD CALL ME BACK IN 5 DAYS, BUT MOST LIKELY ON MONDAY SEPT 12. HE WENT ON TO SAY HE WAS ***** MANAGER AND THAT HE WOULD TRY TO RESOLVE THIS QUICKLY, NO CALL, I CALLED SEPT 13, *************************** STATED THAT WE OWED AROUND 7K AND THAT HE COULD GET THIS TAX ISSUE RESOLVED BY CLAIMING A HARDSHIP BUT HE WOULD NEED $3,395.00. I WAS IN SHOCK. IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING FOR $600 BUCKS THIS WOULD BE RESOLVED NOT FOR ANOTHER **** BUCKS. THAT MORE THAT HALF OF WHAT I OWED. WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING IN WRITING THAT WOULD GUARANTEE THIS WOULD RESOLVE IT, HE SAID NO. ALL HE COULD SAY IS THE BUSINESS IS 20 YEARS OLD AND THEY KNOW HOW TO WORK WITH THE **** BUT NO GUARANTEE THIS WOULD RESOLVE MY ISSUE. HE SAID YOU ARENT LIKE OUR NORMAL CLIENTS WHOM USUALLLY OWE 50K NO A SMALL AMOUNT LIKE 7 K. I TOLD I HAD TO THINK ABOUT IT. I PERSONALLY DIDNT LIKE THE ADITUDE TOWARDS ME, HE DIDNT SEEM GENUINE, MORE LIKE I WAS NOT WORTHY OF HIS TIME.

      This company has REPEATEDLY robocalled my cellphone, even though I am on the Do Not Call List. When my husband called them to resolve the matter, they laughed and hung up on him. At this point, I need to speak to the company's ATTORNEY or LEGAL REPRESENTATION to resolve this matter. NO other solution will be accepted or considered. If said contact is not provided, I will be vigorously pursuing this matter to it's legal conclusion, up to and including contacting the State Attorney Generals' Offices in ******* and **********.
