I have had nothing but issues with this 500 series fridge. The first major problem was the E2 error code, meaning the ice-maker stops working. Fortunately, the first occurrence happened while the fridge was still under warranty, and a Bosch technician replaced the entire ice maker. However, the issue returned a few months later. I managed to clear it by rebooting the fridge, but it came back a third time. I dont want a fridge that requires a reboot every 2-3 months.Around the time of the third E2 error, I noticed water leaking from the freezer seal. Upon opening the freezer, I discovered a sheet of ice about an inch and a half thick. This buildup had clearly been happening for months. Ive never left the door open (it alerts you if you do), and after breaking up the ice, it was evident that it had formed from dozens of thin layers. This issue had been developing until the ice had nowhere else to go but melt at the seal. This all came to a head seven days outside of the warranty period. I called Bosch, hoping they would address these issues out of goodwill since it was so close to the end of the warranty. They gave me no clear answer, only stating that they would submit it for review and scheduled a technician visit. The tech rebooted the fridge to fix the E2 error and confirmed that the ice buildup had been occurring for many months, definitely while it was still under warranty. Despite this, Bosch would not commit to covering the repair costs and kept saying, We will escalate for review. I was charged for the visit, and nothing was fixed. The technician even said the ice and the E2 error would return unless repaired.I emailed Bosch detailing my experience but received no response. I asked if I could get a swap or pay to upgrade to an 800 model--nothing. The promised review of the out-of-warranty repairs never happened, and no one has contacted me since. Now Im stuck with this faulty Bosch fridge that the company itself wont even address.

My 4 year old built-in Bosch microwave caught on fire ! Luckily, my husband was standing there to extinguish. Otherwise it couldve burned down our entire house. The Bosch repairman said due to bad parts, FOUND MAG WAS BAD AND BURNED. INSPECTED WAVE GUIDE, WAVE GUIDE IS BURNED AND PITTED . This is a major safety issue and is their fault,. there are already class action suits about Bosch products/microwaves. Just ****** it. The company should pay the total cost to replace and install a new microwave. Instead, they offered us a $500 reimbursement.

Accidentally signed up for a service plan for a Bosch refrigerator after having already purchased one through *********** I called to cancel the next day, then 3 weeks later, as per their email, but when I call the number provided, they pretend they can't find the order and refuse to refund me. They give me the runaround giving me a different phone number and each person tells me I need to call another number. I called 7 times. I took it up with ***** Fargo and they refused to refund me as well, because Bosch refused to give them my money back. I'm sure if I called to use this supposed warranty, they'd just tell me they can't find the order number. They just take your money and lie! Yet, whenever I file a dispute with PayPal they take care of it right away. Perhaps I should take my money to them. They have better interest rates anyway. Paid for a 800 series refrigerator in July 2021 with manufacturer's warranty 2-5 years. My refrigerator stopped working in 3/2024. I paid out of pocket for a service call. $137.00. I was told the part needed is on back order with NO ETA. I have a 7-month-old and need a refrigerator. All my food and breast milk were spoiled. Bosch offered me to spend another $950 out of pocket for a new refrigerator. The refrigerator I have is not even 3 years old! I feel like I was scammed! I paid more money for a Bosch refrigerator because I thought their products were more reliable with better customer service. I realize now their products are made poorly with no customer service. I need a refrigerator and I can't wait for a part with no date of receiving.

I had an awful experience with ***********************************, a service technician from BSH Home Appliances Corp. My Bosch dishwasher is under warranty. After 6 months of use, steam started to escape from one side of the door. The steam got under the paint of the adjacent drawers and ruined the paint job and warped one of the drawers. ******************** arrived and said the problem was caused by the installer because a s**** in one bracket was in the first hole, and a s**** in the other bracket was in the second hole. He fixed the alignment and left, but the problem kept happening. That's because the "problem" wasn't an installation problem at all and could not be caused by the brackets.******************** then came back for a second visit and told me that he was wrong and actually the problem was caused by the door not closing fully. This made no sense either because the problem only recently started happening, but the door had been the same for 6 months. So, he was wrong a second time. Then, he noticed a tiny ding on the inside of the dishwasher probably caused by a plate or cup hitting the metal. He said this tiny ding had deformed the entire interior dishwasher door and caused the issue. This makes no sense because the ding is tiny, and it's not in the area where the problem is occurring. Basically, he was just guessing and had no idea what really caused the issue. However, Bosch relies on this technician to be honest and now refuses to send a technician who can accurately diagnose the problem, so I'm left with no recourse under my warranty unless I want to pay ******************** over $600 to install a new door, which won't fix the problem anyways. In summary, the BSH Home Appliances technician was wrong about the problem three different times in three different ways, and now I'm stuck because Bosch believes the technician and will no longer help even though the problem occurred when the dishwasher was under warranty.

I have had the Bosch appliance technician out to my home 2 times to address a non-working ice maker. My frig is only 3 years old and the ice maker just stopped working. The first time the tech did not address the error code that was blinking inside the frig. He said he rebooted the system it and to wait 48 hours then ice would be produced. It did not. They sent the same tech back a week later and he worked on it some more and changed boards and said to wait another 48 hours. After he left, I realized the water dispenser doesn't work which it did all along. He actually caused another problem. Now I have to wait yet another 2 weeks to get the tech back to my house. I certainly hope I do not get the same incompetent technician. I will never buy a Bosch appliance again.

Bosch Rebate program not worth it.We purchased 5 Bosch appliances with the incentive to receive a $500 rebate. The promotion time frame was valid from Jan 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021. We placed the order on March 2, 2021 and due to Covid back-up did not receive the last appliance until July 12, 2022, (15-months later). The application required all model and serial numbers before we could apply for the rebate. We sent all the required paperwork on July 20, 2022 with a cover letter reminding them that the late application was due to their appliance shortage etc. After many months we still hadn't heard back so we called, and we were told we were denied due to the application not being filed within the promo time frame.Unfortunately, I was not aware of this response until this week which is why I contacted the Rebate team today and was again denied the $500.00 rebate. We are very disappointed with the company and will no longer purchase or recommend their products in the future.

I have a Bosch dishwasher, model SHPM78Z55N/20. It is two months out of warranty. Shortly after starting up it there is a smell of electrical smoke.. After being transferred around twice by Bosch customer service, I was hold for 45 minutes, then they disconnected me! I called a local appliance repair company. They said that it is very difficult to work with Bosch. I am back on hold with Bosch, 30 minutes so far. I wish that I had considered customer support reputation prior to purchasing Bosch! ************

Is it possible to have negative stars? Where to begin with Bosch. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher last Jan/Feb after our 10-year old Frigidaire dishwasher had a terrible leak that ended up causing $15,000 worth of damage. One month after the Bosch dishwasher was installed, we starting receiving the **15 leak code. We had at least two different Bosch service providers look at the issue and could find nothing. We asked for a replacement then, but we're told by ****** that we would have to purchase another dishwasher and then wait for Bosch to do something. We allowed the service provider to "fix" whatever they could. Also, we were charged a service trip fee by a Bosch service provider. It took approximately 4 months to receive a refund on this from Bosch. This was after multiple customer service calls. In August 2023, we placed our house for sale to relocate to another city for a job opportunity. In December, the dishwasher leak code appeared again. This time we had a knowledgeable service provider come out and found the leak. He submitted all this to BSH. It has been almost a month. We continue to get the runaround from BSH customer service. We were informed yesterday that while we qualify for a replacement, they have no ETA on this. I reiterate WE ARE TRYING TO SELL A HOUSE. I have shared this fact with multiple BSH customer service representatives and have been told by *************************** the earliest resolution might be 4-6 weeks for review for a buy-back. How do we pass a home inspection with a defective dishwasher that we can't use? This company is the worst and I would tell my worst enemy to not purchase one product from Bosch unless they want to be frustrated and waste money on defective products.

First, the defrost pan on my 6 year old freezer failed. I couldn't get anyone to give me service on it so I called to ask what the resistance should be on the 2 different heaters. That was when I was told they do not offer diagnostic help via the phone. I explained I wanted the specification not help diagnosing but I was told no help over the phone and then disconnected. I finally tested and realized which one was not working. Got on the Thermador parts site and ordered the parts which they had in stock (I was pleasantly surprised). I ordered the parts and they offered two day shipping so I paid the $17.00 for the two day shipping. After receiving the tracking information, I checked the shipment status on Wednesday. It shipped on Monday and was scheduled to arrive the following Monday but it was now going to arrive early on Friday.... I should have received the parts on Wednesday. I called customer service and explained my disappointment and asked for reimbursement of the $17.00 charge for two day shipping. First I was told they could not reimburse me and I asked why they couldn't since I didn't receive it? Then I was told I had to file a claim with the shipping company. When asked how they would reimburse me for something I paid to Thermador, I was transferred to another department that deals with builders(?). She explained she could not do anything but submitted it to management for review and follow-up. I received a call Friday stating they could not reimburse me for shipping charges with no explanation other than when they shipped it on Monday it was after the cut off time for the two day shipping (Is this my fault?). I paid for this with a credit card so I submitted a dispute with them and within 15 minutes of filing the dispute I received a credit of $17.00. I don't think I will utilize Thermador directly for anything else should the need arise. It leaves me to wonder what would have happened if I didn't receive all of the parts?
