    Freedom Cash Lenders is a predatory loan company. They give you money fast and do not give you any information on the loan terms except what your payment is. Does not say the interest rates or how long you will be paying. The interest on this loan is 780% which is illegal in the state of ******** where I reside. Their responses to other customers show that they do not care that they are unable to charge this amount legally. I will not allow them access to my bank account after reading other complaints. I REVOKE all future Automatic ACH payments, debits, checks or any other kind of payment going forward as of today's date April 14th,2025 as well as any kind of wage garnishment that may be hiding in their "contract". I would like another acceptable way to make payments. I do not want non-stop calls from this business or threats.

    I have reviewed the notes on the account.  Here is what I see.  The applicant appears to be conducting fraud in taking out a loan and then filing a complaint the next day in order to try to avoid paying.

    The borrower applied and was approved for a loan.  The loan agreement was provided during the application process and required the customers signature to go through the terms, initial several places and confirming their identity, before any loan was approved.  The full loan terms and rates were disclosed as is required and customary for all loans.   We have confirmed the applicant executed the contract.  We spoke to the customer by phone and confirmed all the information of the loan including the terms and repayment schedule.  The customer agreed to the terms of the loan and the loan was issued.  Then the next day, they submit this BBB complaint and say they are not paying us back and sent us an email saying they have revoked the repayment schedule. 

    If the borrower returns the loan in full, we will cancel the loan.  If they do not return and cancel the loan in the proper way, then the account will be reported to the credit bureaus and the account will be sent to collections to recover the loan and associated fees.  

    It's unfortunate that the borrower feel this loan was not right for them and we understand these loans are expensive to manage and should only be taken out if the borrower is in need of short term ermergency funds.  But it does not give them the right to take the loan and not pay back the loan and then submit the BBB complaint in an effort to defraud us.

    If the borrower would like to resolve this issue correctly, we encourage them to speak with us to cancel the loan and return the funds.

    Right now loans is refusing my payment to them will not give me an address to mail my payment to them because they say I have to give them my Checking Account to make a payment I took them off my checking account because I had a problem happen to my account now they are threatened me with collections and a negative credit report when clearly this is there fault Ive made it plain and clear Id mail my payment to them multiple times though email and even called them also which the lady I talked to was very rude to me not helping me in any way demanding payment and my checking account info which I have no more I want this loan wiped off of me they refused my payment therefore I owe them both is what the law states or Ill mail them 50 a month till its paid in full. Please help

    We will work with the borrower to collect their payment in a manner that mutually works.

    We will also work to better understand what happened during the phone call and provide better training to our staff.

    I have no way to log into my account,It is saying my SSN is wrong,I want to take off my ACH autothrizon since money was withdreew from my account leaving my account in negtive with no reminder or warning through emial call or text !!!

    ****** ****, we have reviewed our files and you do not have an account open with us.  We have never issued you a loan under your email or phone number.  You probably are mistaking us for another lender.

    From your account review, you had loans from five other lenders but Freedom Cash Lenders has not issued you a loan.  

    Please check your records again.  Our loan payment on the your checking account would list *********** along with our phone number ************.  

    Feel free to call us during businss hours if you used a different name or email address for the loan but under the email address on this BBB complaint and phone number, we do not see a loan.  

    Kindly update this BBB complaint to close this out.  BBB complaints are impactful to our businss and we work hard to respond to every issue when someone brings up a problem

    I am filing this complaint against Uprova for their predatory and potentially illegal lending practices. This is my first loan with Freedom Cash Lenders. I initially turned to Freedom when I was struggling financially, hoping to get some relief. Instead, they have taken advantage of my difficult circumstances, trapping me in a cycle of debt with outrageous and illegal loan terms.Currently, my loan with Freedom Cash Lenders shows an interest rate of 400%, which is clearly predatory and violates the lending laws in my state of ******. Despite making biweekly payments of $98 for a $300 loan, the loan balance never seems to decrease significantly, and I find myself trapped in a never-ending cycle of debt. ************ has offered me refinancing options, but this would only make my financial situation worse, as they come with even more exorbitant interest rates and fees. Freedom Cash Lenders practices clearly take advantage of consumers who are down on their luck, offering so-called "solutions" that only push them further into financial hardship. The terms of their loans are not only unreasonable but also illegal, exploiting those who have no other options. The company is knowingly taking advantage of vulnerable consumers, creating a situation where repayment is nearly impossible due to the outrageous and fluctuating interest rates.I am requesting immediate action to terminate this loan agreement (as balance plus interest from the original amount has been gained), reduce the interest rates to a legal and reasonable level, and cease all collection activities until a fair resolution is reached. I also urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate Freedom Cash Lenders lending practices, as they are clearly designed to exploit and trap consumers in a cycle of debt, in violation of state laws.

    We are sorry for your hardship that you identified in your complaint.  Most lenders that are looking for short-term emergency funds are going through similar hardships and we try to work with as many borrowers as possible to assist with their short term needs.

    Nontheless, we will reach out to this borrower to review their concern and address their claims.  All disclosures for the loan agreements were fully presented and signed by the borrower.  We have tried to make it very clear that these loans are expensive to originate and not intended for long term borrowing.  We have thousands of satisfied customers that utilize this product on a repeated basis as well.    

    You reference a company named Uprova in this complaint.  We are not Uprova.  I suspect you have multiple loans and are filing BBB complaints on multiple companies at the same time.

    I do not know what this is on my bank statement! I have no idea what this is I now have $1165.34 that has been taken out of my account since May 2024. I emailed them twice and no *********** not withdrawal money from my bank account and refund $1165.34 asap! I am now going to my bank. I am very upset!!

    We do see the borrower executed a loan agreement and provided the loan back on May 2nd, 2024 and has been making payments and the account is in good standing.

    You must have us confused with another company.  We have done an extensive search in our database for your name and email and phone number and do not have any record of you in our system.  Most likely, you have us associated with someone else.  We are Freedom Cash Lenders.  We are not Freedom500 or any other name that has the word Freedom in the name.  Specifically, we go through an extensive process to review and fund all our l oans only after we've spoken to our applicants.  We also create login's for our customer portal and have multiple ways to reach us.  

     

    Please check the company name and if you feel you have an inquiry from us, then please provide that inquiry so that we can investigate is someone is trying to defraud you and use our brand.  We are also aware of copy-cat website that try to spoof our Freedom Cash Lenders website and constantly try to get those removed.  

     

    Rest assures, we would not be contacting you to garnish any wages or collect on any loan we didn't issue.  Again, you are not in our system and therefore, have no way to assist.

    We believe they have mistaken our company for another.  We don't have this person in our system and we don't offer $2000 loans.  This is not us.  We are Freedom Cash Lenders and the only emails or messages come from customers applying for a loan directly and we would only connect with applicants directly once we have their application.

    The payoff date is today they took their money and yet they are trying to say i owe still for missed payment when i never did miss a payment i have all my payment slips from the bank but they seem to think they can still take money from my account

    I've asked our loan manager to reach out and review the account with the borrower.  I'm not certain what the borrower was viewing but any outstanding balance will change each day as daily interest is added.  We list on our customer portal the current payoff amount for that day but the amount will change each day with any new interest.  Perhaps that is what was happening and created some confusion.  Nontheless, we will reach out to this borrower directly to try to resolve the issue.

    I applied for a $1,000 loan from freedom cash lenders . I was approved for the loan. I did not receive any money from them.

    I have reviewed the file.

    We have an open and accepted application from this person for a loan for $700.  We do not see an application for $1,000. 

    The underwriting process has not been completed because we are waiting on the applicant's response to key data needed for the file.  In the last two days, we sent two emails to the email address on file plus 6 SMS messages and two phone calls to this person including leaving one message on their phone voicemail.  

    If they are interested in finishing the process, then responding to any of our communication methods are essential.  The phone we have on the application end in 5738.  Our phone number is ************ and the email and phone is listed on the website and on the page they were redirected to when they applied.

    I applied for a $500 loan from freedom500 . I was denied the loan. I did not receive any money from them. Yet they are trying to debit my bank account $100 every 2 weeks since early December. Causing me NSF fees every time. No one will respond to emails.

    You have the wrong company.  We are not Freedom500.  We don't know who they are but we have no affiliate with them.  We've seen this type of complaint before and we are not affiliated with that company and have no idea how to get in touch with them.  Search the web for Freedom500 or go to your bank and tell them the charge is not authorized.  Normally on your bank statement companies may also include a phone number on the transaction description for you to contact.  

    Please correct this bbb complaint as this is not Freedom Cash Lenders.  You are not contained in our system as having a loan with us.
