We brought our two dogs to Tractor Supply in Farmington, CT store on 3/15-25 to get our dogs rabies vaccine from Vip petcare. We were satisfied with the service, but when we got the certificate we were informed that since we did not have documented proof with us that they were vaccinated up to date that we could only get a one year vaccine cert. We advised them that we had the documentation but not with us and we were told that we had to contact vippetcare by phone or on line to give them the documentation and they could then give us the three year vaccine. I have been trying for the last two days to get thru by phone and just get put on hold immediately and then no one picks up and I have called three times and once waited 25 minutes before hanging up. I have also tried thru their website without getting anyone. After checking with the Better Busines Bureau I have found that they are not accredited with them. It seems that they are a scam company. If this issue is not resolved soon I plan on contacting the local news to have this investigated, which will not be good for Tractor Supply's reputation.

I apologize for your experience. We are a nationwide company with one call center that handles all locations. I have responded to your email inquiry and am requesting you send us your pet's previous vet records for review. In order for a customer service representative to adjust a medical record, the vaccination given by PetIQ must have been given within the time frame documented on the previous veterinary record, meaning the previous vaccine would not have expired/been overdue by even one day.

Pet parents do not pay for a prescription. Pet parents pay for the heartworm tick-borne disease test that allows for you to receive 12 doses of prevention to protect for another year as the heartworm test needs to be done yearly. Customer Service provided the approvals for your pet to have 12 doses with the pharmacy of your choosing. Customer Service has the ability to approve 12 doses of heartworm prevention per heartworm test, per pet, per year.

We had an awful experience with this service. As new pet owners, we were advised that vets were very expensive and that we should seek alternative options. Our cat had to be rehomed and as an indoor/outdoor cat in their previous environment, we wanted to get our cat checked for feline leukemia, as well as to get our cat microchipped. We stepped into Pet Supplies Plus to bring our cat to the clinic. As soon as we were in line, us and our cat were treated like we were on an assembly line. There was a person asking ours and our cats details while we stood in line. After a few short questions they advised that it would be over $200. We questioned why it was so much more than we expected and they told us that we had to pay for all vaccines since we didn’t bring in paperwork to show the vaccines our cat previously had received with their prior owner. They also listed quite a few fees. Before the lady finished listing these fees, the vet on duty screamed across the store that our cat had fleas and did we know that she had fleas. They demanded another $91 in front of a line of people. We were shocked and mortified. We felt on the spot to keep dishing out money. Our cat was already being given Advantage Plus on a monthly basis to protect her from fleas and ticks. We had never seen her scratch once since we’ve had her, neither before or after the treatment. So what could we say or do with all of these people staring at us, thinking we brought a flea infested pet into close contact with their pets. After getting this stressful experience, we left the store and realized that they hadn’t honored the 20% off coupon that I informed them of while we were in line. The lady also got our name incorrect as well as our cats breed, even sending the incorrect information to the microchip company. I’ve tried to contact this company to no avail. They never returned my call to the voicemail I left, to try and rectify the situation.

These people have NO idea what they are doing! They listed my puppies as the wrong breed! They gave two puppies born on the same day two different sets of shots! They went back and forth on whether or not their first set of shots were valid because they received them at 7 weeks! AKC guidelines clearly shows 6-8 weeks as appropriate for first set of shots. They just wanted to charge for the first set again, but missed it on the first puppy! They're ridiculous and none of them understand what they're doing. I was so confused and kept asking what was happening and everyone gave me a different answer! They independently made the decision about which vaccine MY puppy should receive and gave them without even discussing it with me! I will never go back there and would recommend everyone who cares about their pets STAY AWAY!!!

Thank you for providing this feedback. Please call our customer service team at 1-800-427-7973 or email [email protected] if you would like us to update your pet records with the appropriate breed. In busy clinics, clerical errors do happen, but we are happy to correct this at any time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regarding the vaccines; feedback received from the clinic staff explains that the staff member at check-in was told that the puppies received their first set of vaccines at 8 weeks, then revised that to 6 weeks when you were at the vet station. The veterinarian did note in the records that our Puppy Visit 2 was given during this visit, and because of the correction you provided, that Puppy Visit 2 should be repeated for the next visit to ensure there are no further errors. The vaccines the pets received were age appropriate, and the supervisor on staff explained all of this to you on site, and said there were no issues at the time or dissatisfaction.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, we are happy to speak with you. Our customer service team is available 7 days a week at the above contact information. We also have online chat available on our websites.

If I could give it a zero I would. In my opinion they're running a bait and switch scam. On their website they list a 5-in-1 vaccine for dogs, at package prices of $110 and $119. Nowhere in the descriptions for these service packages does it say 'does not include rabies'. I went there thinking I would pay $110, with no earthly clue that 5-in-1 would not include rabies. Google search shows the top 5 vaccinations for dogs, and lists rabies as #1. I doubt I'm the only one who looked at '5-in-1' and simply assumed it included rabies. Additionally, nowhere in the descriptions does it ever state what the '5' means. They do not list the supposedly 5 vaccines customers get with those packages. When I was checking in (they started 20 minutes later than the advertised time), I was told (lo and behold) neither the $110 or $119 packages included rabies. I would have to buy the rabies separate, or go with the $139 package. Huge ripoff, and in my opinion they know exactly what they're doing. The local 'supervisor' at PetSense on Murfreesboro Road in Franklin, TN, is the one who changed the pricing in real time, and I suspected she knew exactly what she was doing. I was there today, 9/24/2023.I showed them their website descriptions for the packages, and she doubled-down on defending the company. Because of a timing issue, I paid the $139. Never again with them or PetSense, a Tractor Supply company. Caveat emptor everyone. https://www.vippetcare.com/services-pricing/service-packages/.

I have had no good luck with this place, I have been paying 30 a month for1 and a half years at first I was thrilled with the wellness plan ansld the idea of free visits to the vet and all the vaccines and heartworm test and parasites testing, but then you realize they don't really examine your dog they font check there teeth nor their ears and anything besides weighing and clipping nails I've been to them a few times asking them to check my dogs mouth I was told to go to a full service vet??? Also the place that I was going to for these wellness appointments was in the next town and then they unexpectedly closed the location and I was never given any kind of notice so now I'm still paying for something I can't use due to the fact that now the nearest wellness clinic is more than sn hour away and not at all convenient and I can never get a hold of anyone by phone or email it's really just a joke and I believe they are ripping most of us off who pay for the wellness package

All calls are recorded, a single call was made to our office on May 21/2023 where the owner asked about parvo testing, we do not offer this service. We are not able to treat this disease because we offer preventative care only. This is the same reason we are unable to provide a dental recommendation. We can call the owner and cancel the plan as she does not have center with in 50 miles of her area at this time.

I give 2 stars because this was such a convenient and positive experience for seven years…until the past three (technically four) visits. A couple years ago, we took our two dogs to a clinic where we waited a little over an hour, and were still third from being seen. There was a scream and we see a vet tech running to the bathroom screaming the f word, holding her eye where blood was already gushing from. A large lab had bit her in the face. I don’t know if she was okay, but they closed and so we grabbed our paper voucher for $10 and left. We had to come back the following week. Last year, we returned. Everything went smooth (except the tablet crashed so many times it took 20mins to pay), but we got home and I saw the emailed vet records. Only one dog’s listed influenza. Customer service advised the vet remembered specifically giving both dogs that vaccine, so they updated the records and things were squared away - us just doubting if we knew for sure that both had gotten it. Now two weeks ago, we returned again. When checking in, I told the tech that we were due for Lepto, 5in1 & Bordetella. I specifically told her that we didn’t need rabies (we got 3yr in 2022). She verbally confirmed that with me, and that was the end of the it. I didn’t know lepto and 5in1 was given in the same syringe, so I thought they gave the correct number of shots at the time. I printed the vet records to hand off to the boarding kennel today and they were given rabies. Without my acknowledgement. I know it’s safe even if they weren’t due, but that is so scary that they gave something to my dogs without my consent. It also listed they were given 3yr, but the due date for next rabies was listed as 2024. So that’s even wrong. I called and they updated the rabies due date, but for their mistake only offered me a $10 voucher (which they had to put me on hold for ~10mins to get approval for) that expires end of 2023 (they aren’t due for anything until 2024). I declined.

We perform services after the owner confirms them with a signature before they are performed. We offered a resolution for the situation and it was declined.

This is for VIP mobil pet clinic that pops up at Anjan Pet Store on Branham in San Jose, Ca. I have been taking my pets here for shots for a long time now. I just learned of a procedure of charging for services not rendered in advance that they will not refund. I took my cat in for shots and they told me while in line that I needed a 4-in-1 but did not tell me what exactly that entailed. I know she needed shots. After receiving the shots and going to the register I was caught off guard when they handed my a fecal tube and instructed me to bring back my cats poop. I was cought off guard because I was there for shots only. But the line was long and I was hurried away. Now it's been over a month and I still have not captured poop in less then 24 hours and driven it to whichever location might be open when "the poop" happens. Mind you I work and deal with a severe pain issues that tracking un necessary poop is not even on my radar. I just by fluke remembered that I was forced to pay in advance for unasked for service. I called up and after waiting on hold for 25 minutes for a customer service representative to answer this is what I learned. I explained my situation and thay said sorry, no refunds are allowed. I had purchased a "package" in which no refunds are allowed. I explained that at no time did the person with the iPad who took my information offerer me individule shot fees just said I needed the 4 in 1. Why was I forced to pay for a package that I did not ask for? I was there due to an email reminder for rabies and other shots. Not poop retrieval. I feel that this is a purposely done sneak in charge knowing that people will be paying for services not provided. You should be charged when the poop is droped off and services begain. Anyway, this is my watch out warning as I've learned the hard way. They have lost a long time customer.

3/19/23 - Waited in line for about 2 1/2 hours for shots for my dog. They had one vet and two techs. They kept running out of supplies so one of the techs had to keep stepping away to call somebody to bring more supplies. By the time it was our turn to fill out paperwork, the tech was so preoccupied and flustered. We DID have our previous year's records but, the tech had to keep stepping away and never actually looked at our records showing that he was current on Distemper. We initially went in for his yearly Bordetella and Distemper. She talked us into getting the 5 in 1 Leptospirosis (which INCLUDES distemper). Spent $110 only to find out that we have to go in for a "BOOSTER" a month later even though he's had his distemper EVERY YEAR. It is now 4/7/23 and after multiple emails/calls, they still have not fixed the issue. Waste of time.
