Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We strive to provide excellent service, and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. However, after reviewing the footage from your drop-off, it is clear that you did not inspect the vehicle with any of our agents. You simply dropped off the keys and left our office.Contrary to your claims, our inspection revealed that you smoked in the vehicle. We found ashes on the floor and detected a strong smell of smoke. It appears you attempted to cover up the smell by spraying a substance into the vents, but this did not mask the odor. We have photos documenting the condition of the vehicle before and after your rental, and it was not returned in the same condition as it was given to you.Our agents informed you that smoking was not allowed in the vehicle, yet you still chose to smoke inside it. We take such matters seriously to ensure the quality and cleanliness of our rentals for all customers.Additionally, none of our agents were rude to you at any point during the pick-up or drop-off. In fact, it was noted that you were rude to our agents over the phone. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.Review fromMoni J

1 starAllied Rental Car- Misleading information and False advertisement. I went to pick up a 15 passenger van ( total cost $341) for my child's birthday. I reserved the vehicle through Expedia. After receiving my confirmation and declining the Allied insurance, I chose to use my own insurance which coverd my rental. Upon pick up I was told that I had to purchase Allied *************** $163.96 plus some additional fees) because I was renting a commercial vehicle. I told the representative that it does NOT state that it was mandatory to purchase Allied insurance. Of course I had no choice but to purchase the insurance considering I needed the vehicle (total cost $543.74+Deposit 500) or risk paying even more trying to find another 15 passenger at the very last minute. So, because of the unexpected fees I ask if they could put the deposit ($500) onto my Debit Card and charge the the vehicle to my Credit Card. They agreed. I get the vehicle and leave. Within an hour or 2, the vehicle begin making knocking sounds and dragging sounds as I made left hand turns. I notified Allied Car Rental, and was told to bring it back in. Unfortunately, it had to be taken back the next morning because they were closing with the hour. Vehicle exchanged the next morning. 2 days later, I returned the vehicle. Unfortunately, Allied made a conscious choice to reverse the payment arrangement we made, charging my Debit Card the vehicle fees and refunding my credit card $500 but charged it $43.74. ??So, of course I called to rectify the problem. Instead, I got a RUDE supervisor (******) on the line who became annoyed and sarcastic because I asked it to be reversed and questioned how could they make that kind of mistake and not be able to correct it. She then says to me "This is why We don't let people use more than one card!" MY REPLY. " EXCUSE ME, THAN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ALLOWED IT AND IT SHOULD NOT BE IN YOUR CONTRACT STATING THAT YOU CAN AND CHARGE FEES IF YOU DO. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!Review fromAlma Q

1 starDuring a recent rental transaction with Allied Rent A Car, I was required to purchase collision insurance from them, despite already possessing a comprehensive full coverage insurance policy. When I questioned the necessity of purchasing Allied's collision insurance, the manager explicitly informed me that it was not optional. Subsequently, I contacted my regular auto insurance provider, who confirmed that my existing policy fully covered the rental vehicle, making Allied's collision insurance redundant.Despite this confirmation, Allied Rent A Car has refused to refund the premium charged for the collision insurance. This refusal to refund my money for an unnecessary expense is highly concerning and unacceptable.I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. I seek a full refund of the collision insurance premium charged by Allied Rent A Car under these unjust circumstances.Review fromRosa B

1 starI wish I could leave zero stars. I ended up cancelling my reservation because they tried to sell me their insurance. When I declined they insisted I give them a lot of personal information. I presented my proof of insurance and my policy information. When I asked what I wasnt providing, they got openly hostile. At that point I decided to cancel my reservation because I no longer believed that they were trustworthy. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this shop. This is of course only my experience and cannot represent everyone, but I was not the only person to decide to cancel and leave in the time I was there, as each person also received the hostility and suspicions practices.Review fromBrett S

This company shouldn't be allowed to operate a business. First, we get to the airport, no signs to indicate where this low-class rental company is or which shuttle we can take to get to it. We finally figure that out with the help of others. Then we are shuttled to some remote location where we have to wait for a cargo van to pick us up like were in a movie scene from *********** We finally get to the counter after waiting forever just to be told that they don't accept business insurance. Huh?????? So, I have no need for personal vehicle insurance since I drive my vehicle for the business, and they don't accept that but instead force me to pay for their $280 insurance. SCAM!!!!!!!This is why you stick with good companies like Enterprise. This establishment is an absolute joke and I highly suggest never ever doing business with them.*****Allied Rent A Car

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention regarding your recent rental experience. We appreciate the opportunity to address the charges applied to your account and clarify the details of your transaction.Upon reviewing your reservation, we acknowledge that you prepaid the amount of $146.62 online. At the commencement of the rental contract, you opted to purchase both the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and Rental ******************* (RLI) and added a child seat. These additional services were agreed upon and totaled $324.90, as discussed during the opening of the contract. However, the discrepancy in charges arises due to the gas level upon the return of the vehicle. The rental was provided to you with a full tank of gas, but it was returned with only 3/8 of a tank. As per the terms outlined in your contract, failing to return the vehicle with the same amount of gas results in a $25 refueling fee and a charge of $7.99 per gallon. In your case, the gas total amounted to $92.36, in addition to the $25 refueling fee. When the initial agreed-upon total of $324.90 and the gas charges of $117.36 are combined, the total comes to $442.26. We want to assure you that the charges applied reflect the services you agreed to and the terms of the rental agreement you signed. We understand the importance of transparency and fairness in our pricing, and we assure you that we have charged only what was outlined in your rental agreement, as well as the additional fees due to the gas discrepancy in accordance with our policies. We genuinely regret any confusion or frustration this situation may have caused you. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to continuously improving our communication to avoid any future misunderstandings.Review fromFrancesca P

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! This company is a total scam. Their customer service at their office to pick-up the vehicle was beyond awful and the process took hours. I had to provide a full copy of my ******************* policy. I thought this was strange, but it has been years since I rented a car in LA. The car I rented was dirty and full of dents and scratches that they supposedly documented. Several days after returning the car, I was notified by my insurance company that Allied Rent a Car had made a claim on my insurance policy for damage to their vehicle. The vehicle was returned in the same condition as when we rented it. They have messed with the wrong person this time, as I am an attorney. I intend to also file civil and criminal complaints against this company if they do not return my deposit. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS!!!! I would leave them no stars but that is not an option.Allied Rent A Car

Dear *********************************,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding our terms and conditions, as well as the overall experience you had with our company. We would like to address your points and provide some clarification.Firstly, we apologize if our terms and conditions were not clear to you. We do state in our booking site's terms and conditions that if customers wish to decline coverage with us, we require proof of full coverage insurance. This requirement is in place to ensure that all parties involved are protected in case of any unforeseen incidents.Additionally, we do take photos of the vehicle before and after rentals to accurately document any preexisting damage as well as any new damage that *** occur during the rental period. This procedure is in place to ensure transparency and avoid any disputes regarding the vehicle's condition. We understand that you mentioned the vehicle was returned in the same condition as when it was rented. However, upon inspection, we identified new damage, which prompted ** to file a claim with your insurance company, as outlined in the insurance verification form you signed. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the pickup process. I rented a car on 11/23/2022 and returned the car on 11/24/2022. The office was closed due to Thanksgiving. Therefore no one was there to inspect the car upon my return. After 2 week and not receiving my deposit, I called Allied Rent A car and was told in a very rude manner, I did not receive my deposit because of a scratch on the bumper. 1) That could not be true. 2) There was no damages done to the car during the time I had the car. 3) When did a scratch become $500. Bases on the walk around of the car with an employee we identified over over 14 scratches. Allied rent A car has refused to negotiate in good faith. I have pictures of the damages already on the car when I picked the car up. They should provide me with a picture of the scratch or return my $500. I see based on the number of complaints, this is how this company stay in business by taking customers deposits. This company has shown me to be a FRAUD and a RIP-OFF artist. In my opinion, they are RUDE and LACK COMMUNICATION SKILLS.Allied Rent A Car
