      I don't want anyone else making the same mistake I did. RUN- don't walk, away from this company! I signed my contract in Dec. 2022 and was originally told that the house would be finished by Sept. 2023. We locked in our mortgage interest rate to avoid rapidly increasing interest rates at that time. Despite being assured numerous times that it would be completed by Sept. I found myself paying $500 to extend my interest rate lock, and we didn't end up closing until Dec. 2023. I should also note, during this time I was forced by KB to pay $650 for an appraisal to be done, that wasn't able to be completed because there was no house built for them to appraise. I was given a million reasons why closing kept getting pushed back: due to Covid, due to labor shortages, and materials were supposedly on backorder. None of those reasons were valid because other houses on that very block (inventory homes) started construction after me, yet somehow finished before me. I didn't want to complain in a public forum because KB did offer some money towards closing as an apology for the issues during construction. However, given the quality of the home and the problems I've faced since moving in, I feel the need to warn you. Presently, I have had so many issues all due to shoddy workmanship. The current, and biggest issue I am facing is that we just had an electrical fire! My oven is luckily under warranty until this upcoming Dec. but we have been unable to use it for the past 2 weeks waiting for KB to send a repairman. He came out today and informed me the reason for the fire was because the person who installed it (KB worker) did not tighten the power cord and the wires were arcing together causing the sparks. There is currently a hole in the back of my oven, soot on my wall, and exposed wires. Luckily that is the only damage, as an electrical fire could burn a house down. Now we wait at least another 2 weeks to hopefully get the issue fixed once parts come in. Would not recommend!

The vendor will also clean up, as needed, around that area. Whirlpool has also ordered a new back panel.

      I am actually in the middle of a deal with KB as I write this review. We agreed to all terms on Friday, then we signed on Saturday and all the numbers changed Monday after I paid them. Then they asked for me to accept, I havent and they ran my credit anyway. This experience is not going well. Feels like a bait and switch. I am not having a good feeling about this.

      I am so disappointed of KB customer service and their cheap materials and break down of furnaces, garage and landscape. Even if you r in a newly warranted window, KB will not reimburse or answer any of my calls. I am very sad and regretting buying this KB home.

      Kb homes representatives had me enter into a contract under false impressions, then kept my ******* money even after I proved that the break in contract was no fault of mine but the representative that was not forthcoming in the qualification process

We were disappointed that this buyers personal situation changed and that he was unable to attend his required New Homeowner Orientation appointment or close escrow on a KB Home. After certain contractual deadlinesthis buyer was well beyond all of thema buyers ******* money deposit becomes non-refundable to cover the costs associated with holding the property off the market, among others, during the contract. We regret that **************** was unable to complete the transaction.

      Im not a big fan of reviews, I like to experience disappointment on my own apparently. **facepalm* We purchased a new build June 2023 and expected close was mid Nov 2023. We closed Nov 30, 2023. Everything has snowballed since. We had a warranty CSR rep come and let us know we could call, text, email about anything regarding the house and he would come to the house to do a refresh on the paint ***** few months. Well its been six months and he doesnt answer calls text or emails. He ponds his work off to people that have no business doing what theyre doing. Terrible terrible service. The buying process and the house have been a huge disappointment. I really dont understand how KB is still in business. I just wish I did more research. $900,000 later, we had to go pick up our keys at the office and was handed two KB mugs to go. Despicable company. **** never recommend working with this company. Its a huge disaster!

      I had a new home built in *********** by KB homes and shortly after moving in cracks started appearing in my driveway and concrete decks we paid extra for in the back of the house. The cracks are too small to do anything with according to KB Homes but I'm sorry this is a brand-new home and should not have any cracks at all. The concrete section should be removed and repaired. They also refused to provide any reasonable accommodation for my wheelchair, such as ramps for 2 four-inch steps.

      KB is horrible. No one checks the work being done. Closed 07/29/2024. It was a move in ready. The door trim is damaged it was just painted over. The walls are crooked. The floor was full of paint splatter all over the home, I cleaned the splatter in the main areas. The yards are not leveled almost twisted my ankle. Water settles around the home in the back yard when it rains, so I have algae growing. Tried to aerate but the surface is full of rocks. Initially there was no vent in the garage called about the yard when we got our first good rain, received no response. Called back moths later with the same issue. Was told the yard isn't under warranty. (Well maybe you should take better care of the lawn until someone buys the home). They do come and fill the holes with sand/dirt. However, most of it was washed away in the storm today. This is a poor builder with horrible customer service. It's too bad the neighborhood is new and not fully finished or I would totally sell to an investor to get out of this home. I am going to contact our local news station and see what the city/state can do about these ridiculous thrown together home. Someone needs to police these builders. As soon as I am able, I am definitely selling.

      I moved in Nov-2023 ,I have been having Yard issues (i.e even if there is small rain )the yard turns like a pool ,it is having water always even in hot weather.I have send numbers videos ,photos of how the yard us and the builder is always denying ti fix it ,it is under-warranty.We where promised all the issues will be fixed after moving and they still haven't fixed the yard 1)they have very bad grading 2) **************** is worst in handeling Never ever buy from Kb homes in any state

      I would never buy from KB Home again. The KB Home *********** community in ************* ******* are very disappointed and having multiple meetings talking about starting a class action lawsuit. The finish work is horrible. Most of the lawns are not growing. The answer people get are just wait till May or June your lawn shrank! ?? You always get an excuse or told you can go grab sod from a home still being built and fix it yourself. Walls are not straight. Doors will not all shut. Not sure how they are getting energy efficient ratings when you can see daylight coming around exterior doors. Took them 5 trys to fix our ac and heat. It never worked had to replace unit outside and all the copper under the home. Cracked concrete in the garage. I could go on for awhile. This is not our first new build and I am wondering when you spend over half a million on a new home build you could at least check between your trades doing quality checks. Just remember also depending on where you are building the city or county may not have there own inspector so KB is paying a third party who obviously doesnt want to bite the hand that feeds them. Bring a independent inspector with during all phases

      We close on our house sept 2021. Since we close Ive had to call multiple times that when it rains our back door leaks water inside. Each time they send someone who says its fix but then it happens again. Now they are saying my warranty is up and theres nothing they can do. This is horrible business a issue that has been recurring and they are ignoring it
