Dec. 6, 2023 My complaint:My complaint is against the 2nd Street chains store on Main Street in Santa ******* **.: *******************************************. Last week I dropped off approximately ten items of clothing, many new with tags, in three bags, the value about $2,000 when I had paid new, and I was told by the stores employee ****** that the store needed to do an estimate and would call me. I gave my cell phone number. I also provided them my drivers license on their request.I was not called. So on Monday Dec. 4, I stopped in the store. The manager, ***************************, and employee (******) said they cant find my clothes and that they donated my clothes and that I had to accept this. (I was never informed my clothes would be donated, I was only told I would be called and provided an estimate.)This is theft or extreme negligence on their part. I asked why was I never called, why was I not notified and why am I not being compensated in some way and I was told I just needed to accept the loss. They claimed they call everyone, that they dont steal the clothing, and that they have a policy of donation after a certain period of time (which, again, I was never informed of.)It seems their employees likely stole my expensive clothing. My clothes were not items that any rational person would donate. They were expensive and practically new, some were new with tags. And they never called me,I tried to make a police report. But the police, although they were sympathetic, they strongly advised me to take your company to small claims court. Can the Better Business Bureau assist in resolving this?I want my clothes back. Or to be fairly compensated. This incident happened at 2nd Street chains Main street location:*******************************************. Their main store is at the address:********************************************************. ***** ************ I have emailed 2nd St. several times but have received no response.

I have sold to them several times with no issue until today. I was accused of attempting to sell (their) stolen merchandise back to them and had 3 of my high end purses confiscated before being thrown out hastily. I was told to never return or I would be attested. I have proof of origination for every item I've ever sold but was Not given the opportunity to even reapond before I was forcibly thrown out of the store. My items were thrown out on the street after me. It was very embarrassing and professional and above all a complete and total lie. If i'm unable to get this resolved through their corporate office theull leave me little choice but to persue legal options. Making simple contact is proving to be a challenge..no one there wants to answer the phone , let alone respond to an email or a voicemail, Of which I have left several since the incident a month ago.
