On 11/23/22, I order a yearly subscription for the curiousity box for my daughter as a Christmas gift. The yearly subscription is for the delivery of 4 boxes. Its 3/30/23, and I should have received two boxes by now, but I havent received anything. **************** has not been able to help, other than a few emails about shipping delays.Initial Complaint

I purchased the Winter box last year during their Black Friday sale, paying $30 and $8 shipping. It was meant to be shipped in the winter. I received an email January 15th stating that manufacturing delays have led to a delay of my box. The email states that "in our six years of creating the Curiosity Box we've never encountered such a series of delays in manufacturing, logistics, and execution." Looking at the other complaints I find that hard to believe. This email stated that the Winter box would ship by the end of February. On March 12th I submitted a message on their website inquiring as to when my Winter Box would ship, as it was (and is) still listed as unfulfilled on my account on their site. I received only a confirmation of receipt of the message stating I would hear a response 5-7 business days later. I have not had a response now over 2 weeks later. In those two weeks Curiosity Box changed the design of their website, adding the Winter Box's items in the "what you've missed" section of their home page, and have removed the ability to contact the company. There is no way to contact the company on their website any longer. They have removed it. This seems extremely dishonest. At this point a refund is necessary.Initial Complaint

They charged me $39.80 on November 17, 2 022,for a box I never ordered and never received. I informed my credit-card company, and they regarded it as fraud, changed my card number, and gave me a provisional credit. But now they have rescinded the credit because Curiosity Box claimed they had sent me the box -- absolutely untrue. I may have to take them to small-claims court to get back the money they've stolen from my account.Initial Complaint

This company advertises a subscription service to receive a mystery box of cool gadgets/items. I placed my order in December 2022, was immediately charged, but have not received the box of items. There are no updates on my order, no tracking information, and no response from customer service regarding my concerns. They also advertise 3-5days to fulfill an order, in which it will then be shipped from **********. I waited patiently through the holiday season, but they are going to be charging for the next season's subscription box March 1, and I have yet to receive anything from my December order. It has been a huge disappointment ordering from this company, as my money was taken promptly but no word regarding my order.Initial Complaint

I signed up in late 2021, I received one winter box. The 2022 season I should have received 3 more boxes. I only recieved 2 more boxes for 2022 and was charged again in Dec for the yearly subscription (which I did not want) they did a good job of hiding the fact that I was signing up for reoccurring orders. Anyway, In 2022 i recieved 3 boxes, all late, the customer support was poor when I attempted to complain through the company. I am still owed one box for 2022 and the first box for 2023. It shows I have 2 boxes outstanding and waiting to be shipped....the biggest frustration is they did not fulfill the yearly subscription I signed up for late 2021 and were one box behind in 2022 but still decided to charge me for the next year's subscription anyway. When I asked for a refund because I did not want to go through this ****** again for the next year. They just said sorry, you signed up for renewal, they really didn't care they where not fulfilling there responsibilities. Now I'm starting to feel like this is a scamInitial Complaint

I ordered this box for my Dad as a Christmas gift on 11/17/2022. As of 1/10/2023, nothing has arrived from the company. I have contacted them several times to try to either receive my box or my money back and all I got back was "we don't issue refunds" and "sit tight and wait". It feels like a scam. They were able to confirm the cancellation of my subscription over email on 12/23/2022, but they still have not mailed any boxes or refunded my money. They just copy and paste the same email responses to each inquiry. I just want my money back because I feel like the boxes are never coming.Initial Complaint

I placed order in August for Curiosity box, which should have shipped in September. When it didn't arrive, I contacted them. When they finally responded, they said I was going to get their "Fall box" so I wouldn't be getting anything until October. I attached a screen shot of their delivery schedule, which shows I should have been shipped a box in September, since I placed order in August. I have contacted them several times to check on the status of my order. (See attached emails and replies)Each answer is almost verbatim the same response - something along the lines of, "After checking your account, it shows that our fulfillment team is preparing your package. We are working on expediting the shipment. Unfortunately, we don't have the estimated time frame yet. Rest assured that shipping details with a tracking number will be sent to your email once your box leaves our warehouse. We apologize for the delay with the delivery." It was either that or they were waiting on a popular item that was needed to fulfill the Fall box I ordered. After waiting for so long, and believing their customer service, I cannot dispute the charge with my bank, as it is over 60 days. I am not asking for anything special, just a simple refund of the money I paid for goods not received. Unfortunately I am not the only one in this predicament. This is a complete scam. I paid in August of 2022 and still haven't received anything five months later. I sent an inquiry on December 11th, it took them until December 22nd to reply with a terse, and trite, "Oh, so sorry we can't ship your order on time because of a shipping blockage in the port of ***********, blah, blah...." I might have had some sympathy for this if it hadn't been four months. They are quick to take your money and slow to ship. I'm thinking about reporting fraud to my CC company.Initial Complaint

I ordered a curiosity box subscription on Nov 7, 2021. The subscription was to run for 1 year and include 5 shipments (1 promotional "best of" box and 4 seasonal boxes). As of today (Dec 2022) I have only received 3 out of the promised 5 boxes and several vague email notices about shipping delays. The subscription was obviously a disappointment and I planned to cancel. On Aug 5, 2022, I received an email from curiosity box stating that my rebill date for subscription renewal would be Nov 10; despite this, my credit card was charged for renewal on Oct 10! I immediately tried to contact them to cancel the renewal. I tried to phone the business, but was directed to a voicemail saying that all support issues must be handled through email. I have emailed multiple times explaining the situation and trying to get a refund. Weeks go by between responses from curiosity box and when the reply comes they give me the runaround, saying they can't locate my account or other such nonsense. A few weeks ago they confirmed that my subscription is "cancelled," but they did not refund the renewal charge and have not responded to other questions about when my outstanding orders will be delivered or if they intend to send any new boxes for the coming year. I'm extremely frustrated with the unclear communication, very slow responses, and NO REFUND + NO SHIPMENTS.
