    I have a truck loan with them. Their app never works to make a car payment. I spent the weekend over the phone with a nice person connecting to their app. I went on again today with a correct username and password and it locked me out again. I was on the phone waiting for customer service for five minutes today and Ive had enough. Im again going to mail my payment. They charge you to make a car payment. Its no wonder theyre corporate is in ***************.

    My parents have been members for over ******* going back to the ************************. Mon is gone and Dad is in an assisted living home. I am his POA and Trustee of the ************. I have to fight with the legal **** every time I deal with the accounts.We elected to close the accounts due to the poor performance in earnings. They have now elected to dis-allow the closure of the accounts. ********************** is Financially abusing elderly long time clients. STAY AWAY FROM KINECTA

    Was just unpleasantly surprised to learn that Kinecta is now assessing a $9.95 per month fee on checking. It's like they stole money out of my account without telling me. I'll be closing all my accounts and moving my $100,000 elsewhere.

    Kinecta is switching all checking accounts to "ProtectPlus", adding a charge of $9.95 per month starting March 31. ProtectPlus has a bunch of useless benefits like identity protection, roadside assistance, telemedicine, and unlimited cashier's checks. Fee waived if you have $ ****** or more in the specific checking account. This was done AUTOMATICALLY without any choice. Your only choice is to opt-out by waiting for hours on a call center line or driving to a branch. They have very SNEAKY business practices, hidden fees, and changing minimum balance levels without warning. DON'T do banking HERE!!!!! I inherited this bank after it was Xerox Credit Union, then XCEED credit union, and then bought out by Kinecta.

    You don't understand that it's not the offering at issue. It's the way the offering was rolled out as opt-out option vs opt-in. "We understand that this protection may not be for everyone" so why force everyone to purchase and then make them make the effort to cancel? (Because you will make more money forcing opt-out). Sneaky tactics which borderline criminal. Definitely banking done different. Sleazy.

    You are missing the point. There is a difference between "Opt-In" services and "Opt-Out". You state that "We understand that this protection may not be for everyone", but you force it on EVERYONE and make us opt-out by having to call calling (which takes an inordinate amount of time due to the high volume of people who don't need to pay for a road-side service provided by their checking status). I had to drive to the branch to opt-out. I shouldn't have to tell my bank that I don't want cell phone protection or telehealth services that you rammed down my throat. This is how scammers work and low integrity business get extra profit by relying customers to perform an action to eliminate unwanted charges. Banking done different, indeed.

    Just received a letter in the mail stating that my account was "upgraded." Apparently upgraded now means that I have a new monthly fee as well. Unless i can keep ****** on hand i have to pay fees. Over the past 4 years, our country has experienced record inflation. Like most Americans, i simply don't have 10K laying around in readily available cash that i can just bank and forget about. I wish that i did. When i attempted to reach the bank to talk to anyone about this, they were not available, despite me having to provide my personal information every time, including ssn. There was no option to receive a call back, just hold for no one. This letter and accompanying fee brings out the worst in business practice. Stating that all of these services (that are either duplicative as you have them elsewhere or of no charge to them), which i did not ask for, are all for you. I just need the bank to be the bank and not charge high fees. I'm taking my business elsewhere. This is horrible practice.

    My dad passed away a year and a half ago and had small account with **********************. My mother is his next of kin and the institution is refusing to cash out the account because they say she wasn't listed as a beneficiary. We can't find the account information in the files so we have no way of confirming whether she's listed or not. They have been unresponsive and utterly unhelpful to my mom.

    I am forced to put one star, I'd gladly put zero stars, but I am not given that option as a choice. I contacted Kinecta almost two weeks ago about a personal loan. No one ever contacted me. I called them after 4-days and I was told the loan was still processing. I called them 7-days after my application was submitted, still processing I was told. Today I called and I was told it says "refer," which is something the representative didn't understand. About 1-2 hours later I was left a message on my phone, "Hi, this is Connecto Federal credit Union calling. Please return our call at your earliest convenience at XXX-854-9846. It's regarding information you were requesting our call back or our member contact center hours are Monday though Friday 5AM to 6PM Pacific standard time Saturday 6AM to 3PM and we're closed on Sunday and any representative *********************************************************************************** the mail with that information. Thanks for choosing connect and have a great day..." I realize I was denied credit, but why would it take longer to tell me "no" than it would be to tell me "yes?" If when I applied they can tell you immediately if you qualify for credit. But, when you are denied it can take 2-weeks. I have had an account with this company for a decade and I will be closing it, because I do not like the smug little message about "...have a great day..." the young kid left on my phone. I guess it was enjoyable to waste my time and then tell me "have a great day." Why waste two weeks of my time? Is the entire company all about wasting the customer's time? Do they feel we have nothing better to do than transact business with these people. Flash! My time is worth just as much as you people at Kinecta. I will be closing my account tomorrow...so have a great day.

    My husband has been a member of Kinecta for eight years.Since we were in need of a home equity loan and thinking that a being a longtime member would possibly make it a little easier to obtain a loan, we started the process. Boy, were we wrong!!From the beginning, we were required to supply a copy of almost every document that we have. We were on the phone and computer supplying sensitive information for hours and days. We have been scrutinized above and beyond what we considered humanly possible, almost to the point of harassment for over one month. As an example, we sent in information that had a different computer generated number on page two and because it didnt exactly match page one, we had to resubmit the entire form!We had three different people come to our home including the appraiser and two notaries. One of whom appeared at 8:30 pm to get yet another signature when we assumed we were finished. It seems that all that we did, signed and submitted was never enough! Even though our newly-constructed home turned out to be assessed at almost double the value of the loan!This process involved more than a month of grueling procedures before we were finally informed that it was actually approved. For all these unnecessarily stressful reasons, I would not recommend Kinecta for a home equity loan.

    DO NOT JOIN!I have been a member for over 8 years, and my parents even longer. When they merged from Xceed to Kinecta all service went out the window. Doesnt matter how long your loyalty has gone with the same credit union.I have had numerous car loans and always have been 100% on time and paid in full. Last September I ruptured my Achilles, lost my job, and went behind on my bills. I spoke to a representative to deliver my vehicle in instead of repossession since they were not willing to help at all. He convinced me not to do it, and urged they are very good at helping even though I had explained their service went to ****.At 1:30am they repoed my vehicle..Thank you for the help, the lies and heads up Kinecta. Over 8 years of perfect standing and you treat me like that when times are tough?Dont ever join them. Stay far away.

    Worst bank every. All they want to do is charge your for everything. The dont notify you of issues with a payment or balance they just tack on a fee for inconvenience. I hate this this bank poor customer service and they dont try to help you in anyway. Will be taking my business to chase
