      We apologize for this consumers confusion. The member purchased a GEVC membership in May of 2022 and is in collection for non-payment. We were not aware of any request for a copy of the purchase agreement but will forward that immediately.

      Global Exchange failed to provide the services stated and promised during there presentation. We have tried on several occasions to book vacation via Global Exchange. the results were no property available, the property available were not top tier, as promised, the rate were higher than the average. Goggle prices were lower than Global Exchange prices. We were promised that RCI membership was part of the Platinum member and several months later I received a bill for annual RCI membership. Basically, Global Exchange did not provide the service the contract agreed upon.. when I notified the company about their failure the refused to end the contract and provide the agreed upon serevice

While we regret any confusion, it is important to note that she was aware of the amount. *** offers access to over ******* weeks at more than ***** resorts at all times.       Lied to during presentation. Was told we could cancel if not happy or no longer needed the services. Was told I would be able to trade and use points all over the world anytime. Have not been able to trade or use points without spending more money. You have to spend $3100 a year to potentially use the points on the worst hotels available (was told the best facilities and non of the pictures of the resorts showed are available) without paying another arm and leg. When you book the resort without the plan you actually spend less. Complete scam and paying for nothing. When I tried to cancel, they told me I could not without paying $6k in full. Would like to cancel and not accrue any more fees. They have taken a lot of our money for nothing, trying to stop it before it continues.

We were not aware that the member was having trouble making reservations, as she never informed us of that. Her main concern was her inability to make payments due to losing her job. We apologized and reminded her that, like any real estate purchase, payments are still required. We will reach out to assist her with any reservation issues.

      I went to the *********** showroom of Global Exchange after being told that my name had been pulled for a **** that I entered at the ****** Texas Wedding Expo. I was told that there was a choice of 3 days/2 nights in ******* ** or ********* ** or a 5 days/4 nights Cruise. This would be used for my son and his fianc's honeymoon and they picked the 3 days/2 nights in ******* **. Because I was so skeptical they also through in an additional "gift" for me that I'd received on the date of the presentation. I traveled 2 hours from home to *********** and sat through their presentation which is outrageous in how it is presented. They make you believe that you join the "club" for $11, 588 and you'll be able to take the ****s of your dreams. I'll give you that the accommodation costs are great but folks have to add airfare, food, rental car, etc., and lets not forget the current $400 a year HOA fees that will have to be paid every year even once your $11, 588 is paid. You are getting 60% off your flights, and all these discounts that your concierge will be able to get you but no flexibility on dates, times, etc. that you leave. But they didn't push me to buy and gave me my gifts. The Orlando **** voucher does not indicate 3 days as I was told it only indicates the 2 nights. The flight departures are between 3pm and 10pm and the return flights are between 6am and 1pm. I can do the math real quick so not only are the kids not getting 3 days they're barely getting ********************************** *******. Talk about misleading and/or false advertising this is ridiculous. I just want the 3 days my kids were promised with the two night and the park ticket. I'd like their departure time on day 1 to be early to mid-morning and their return time on day 3 to be early to mid-evening. If they can't do that I'd like to be able to pair my additional 2 night "gift" that does not pay for flights and give them 5 days and 4 nights. It should not cost Global Exchange anything additional.

      We apologize for any confusion.GEVC is not involved with the gifts from the marketing companies. The customer was issued a map, directions, the terms and conditions of the presentation, and the gifts, prior to attending. These were all emailed to them. We are happy to intervene, on their behalf, with the promotional company. We will have the marketing company reach out to this consumer.

      This dispute has not been taken care of. I never received anything in the preliminary emails that said anything about the 3 days only being 36 hours. While the company may be a vendor or whatever the person who presented this trip as 3 days and 2 nights works for Global Exchange. I did not get to see the certificates until after Id sat through the presentation and since I wouldnt buy I was rushed out of there so fast I didnt get a chance to read the vouchers. These people are misrepresenting these trips to get folks to their showroom and I had to drive over 2 hours to get there. If Global Exchange cant help get me what their rep told me then be sure that I will let everyone know what a scam this is on social media, etc. I cant speak to the vendor until they return my official voucher but Global Exchange can. Thank you.

      1. Membership Purchase: I purchased an RCI membership approx June 2022 through the Global Exchange Vacation Club (GEVC) for over $6,680.00. I was promised platinum status with ****** points per year, plus confirmed bookings if done 2-3 months in advance.2. Usage Attempts: Since acquiring the membership, I have only been given ****** points not ****** as promised. I also tried multiple times to book accommodations. Despite attempting to book as far as seven months in advance, I have never found any available dates. The said company promised I would have no problem extending available points.3. Points Expiry and Additional Charges: My points are due to expire soon for the year 2023. RCI is demanding an additional $110 to extend these points, which I find unacceptable given my inability to utilize the service as promised. Sometimes I'm on hold for over 57 minutes. As a nurse, I only get a 30-minute meal break.4. Communication Attempts: I have contacted RCI and Global Exchange Vacation Club (GEVC) multiple times to address these issues, but the responses have been unhelpful and dismissive. Additionally, I have experienced significant difficulties in reaching anyone for assistance with bookings or to have my questions answered.5. Pricing Discrepancies: When I look at a place to visit, such as ******, and try to book a particular hotel through GEVC for 3 days, RCI charges me $2,200. However, if I go directly to that same hotel in ******, I am charged approximately $172 per night. This is clearly a scam.6. Desired Resolution: I am seeking to terminate my membership with RCI and Global Exchange Vacation Club without incurring any further costs. Additionally, I request a full refund of the membership fees paid, as I have not been able to use the service at all. Please heed my words, and do not fall into this TRAP!

      I am writing to file a complaint regarding our timeshare purchase on January 31, 2019. We were enticed by the promise of a free trip to ***** and a cruise to the ******************. Unfortunately, due to the ******19 pandemic, we were unable to enjoy this benefit, resulting in its loss.The sales process was highly pressurized. Despite my initial hesitations, the sales team persisted for over an hour, bringing in a manager and offering a free vacation to sway our decision. This was after making us watch a 30-minute to 1-hour video, far exceeding the promised 30-minute presentation. The continued pressure and extended presentation made the experience uncomfortable and coercive.Critical terms were not adequately explained during the signing process. We were not allowed sufficient time to review the documents and were simply instructed to sign each page without a thorough explanation. The interest payment details, in particular, were not disclosed, which would have been a decisive factor in our decision-making. The signing took place in a private room where forms were briefly explained before being presented for signatures, leading me to trust that the process was fair and transparent, which it was not.The impact of ******19 has further compounded our difficulties. My husband experienced a period of unemployment, leaving me to bear all financial responsibilities, including increased rent and emergency medical expenses when he contracted ******19. These unforeseen costs have severely strained our finances, leaving us struggling to cover essential expenses.Furthermore, I am also responsible for paying my mother's rent, and our account is now in collections by Global Exchange, further adding to our financial difficulties. Given these circumstances, maintaining our timeshare membership has become unsustainable. I am aware that the decision for our release lies with Global Exchange and I am exploring options to release our timeshare to alleviate this financial burden.

      We found them on Six Flags, we "won" a cruise but we had to go to a timeshare presentation.The presentation was great, they sell it beautifully and they use a different websitebto shiw you resorts, cities and incredible prizes but you'll get a fraudulent site nothing like it, you can't book anything and the prices are worst than if you just went into any other website and book that place.

      On June 8th 2024, I attended a seminar at the office location nearest me, during the very end of the sale pitch, ******************* came up behind me and pulled on my hair twice and quickly apologized after I said something to my husband about it. During the actual sales pitch, ******************* also made crude remarks regarding a fire in his lower half, something to do with he and his wife's sexual relations. *** (an employee assigned to us for the day as our guide) was a witness to the uncomfortable remarks and even said herself she was not dealing with him that day. Immediately after the incident occurred I was clearly visibly upset (crying) and the main manager had me file an incident report and apologized profusely. Because of the nature of the incident I could not calm down and I had a PTSD episode on my way home that landed me in the emergency room not able to drive. The manager told us it was reported to the *** and that we would receive a phone call offering a "solution" for my distress. We are still awaiting a call and have had no further contact with any employee. Please let me know what further information you may need on this matter or anything you can provide me to resolve this issue. *************************** cell **************

      We apologize again to this customer for the unfortunate incident. ********************, a 60-year-old married manager with our company since 2016, has had no complaints against him. On the day of the incident, *******************, who believed he was sharing a whimsical anecdote, unintentionally offended ****************, even though her significant other was present. While the comment might be considered mild compared to the content seen on national TV at 8:00 P.M., **************** was insulted. ******************** was sent home, interviewed by HR, reprimanded, and the incident was documented in his permanent employment file.       Subject: GEVC: Unethical and Unreliable Practices Dear BBB,I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with GEVC services. What started as a promising encounter during a sunny spring break at ************************, Tx, quickly turned into a nightmare.Presentation Venue: ********* Salesperson: B and L Boss: GM 1. Misleading Presentation: Your representatives, B and L, aggressively promoted GEVC services after a seemingly friendly presentation. They created an environment of trust and upsold us on travel and hospitality services.2. Broken Promises: Despite their promises, the experience took a downturn. I received a letter stating that I must pay a special assessment due to damages from Hurricane ***. However, the hurricane and the Board meeting date far preceded my GEVC membership date.3. Unreasonable Deadlines: The due date and delinquency period for payment were unreasonably tight (15 days each). This lack of flexibility is both unusual and unacceptable.4. Lack of Communication: I attempted to contact B, but her personal phone number yielded sporadic responses. She never obliged me by sharing her work email address. G M, their boss, also failed to provide an email address. When he finally called, it was during my work presentation, and he still refused to share any email address.5. Frustrating Experience: I am an IT professional with good savings and excellent credit history. I choose to pay the membership amount in a single shot. However, I havent used any freebies or even the $50 card issued in response to fees collected at Six Flags.Moreover, getting hold of GEVC is extremely difficult for me owing to their weekday only support and it is seldom reachable. Conclusion: The stress and frustration over the past two months are unwarranted for a family holiday. I want my money back.Sincerely,********

      There has been absolutely no action taken on the following points:

      1. Any description of the new fees levied on my account? 

      2. Email ID where I can seek answers to my questions and for raising any concerns. (I cannot connect with their call center due to they being flooded with high volume of callers.)

      3. What is the average cost of ownership for GEVC annual membership? How often can these fees be levied? 

      Finally, the accepted resolution is to refund my money. I have not used even one of their service, not even the $50 dining card.

      At this point, I am so very disappointed in GEVC, because of the following reasons: 

      1. If the answer is there in the booklet, then please show me the page number and the paragraph number. 

      The truth is that you have not even read my complaint appropriately, leave aside whether you have resolved it or not. 

      2. I will be travelling to ***** in few days for vacation. So even if the membership services call me, I will not be in a position to answer your call. 

      I say so because, I will be in totally different time zone and will be taking care of my ailing mother. 

      3. Why can't you work like a company who cares for their customers? Why don't you provide me an email ID, which can answer my questions appropriately.

      4. Lastly, I am a man. Please stop referring me by the incorrect pronouns.

      We apologize to this member for any confusion. Global Exchange Vacation Club is a timeshare, not a travel company. This member signed multiple documents that there are no discounts on airfare. As for discounted accommodations, we cannot be beat. We guarantee the lowest cost on over ******* hotels or we will pay the difference. We offer over ******* timeshare weeks that can be booked from 2- days to 18 months in advance for an average cost of only $599.00. We offer one-on-one tutorials, or the member can go onto the website for how-to videos on how to use each benefit of the Club.
