- Advertising Review:Read moreOn March 11, 2025, BBB requested Grafton Collection to modify, substantiate or discontinue a claim made on their website (https://graftoncollection.com) regarding the company advertising the sale of “Mineral Crystal Crafted” mugs, with consumers expressing concerns that the product received may not align with the advertised description and photos.
Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 of the Code states advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided In addition, Section Section 21.1 and 21.1.1 of the Code states the composition and layout of advertisements should be such as to minimize the possibility of misunderstanding by the reader. For example, prices, illustrations or descriptions must not be so placed or displayed in an advertisement as to give the impression that the price or terms of featured products or services apply to other products or services in the advertisement, when such is not the case.
