    Business response

    12/03/2024

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand how important your credit score is and want to clarify what might be happening.

Credit scores can fluctuate from month to month based on various factors, even if youre consistently paying your balances as agreed. Some common reasons for these changes include: credit inquiries, newly opened loans, changes in balances or high credit limits, and more. For more insight into the specific factors impacting your personal credit score, we recommend that you visit the My Credit page in your Credit Sesame account.

On 9/19/2024 I attempted to withdraw $300 for a ALL POINT atm. The atm never dispensed the money. It was deducted from my account. I tried calling both atm and credit sesame but they were both closed. The next day I called the atm company. They reviewed the transaction while on the phone with me. They agreed the money was never dispensed. I call credit sesame. They email me the dispute forms. I fill them out and send them back. I asked about provisional credit. It took them 2 weeks to deny me that. I have called every week going on 7 weeks now. I haven't received an update on my dispute. The only response I get is there is no update.

According to our records, we have been in communication with the customer since they initially filed their dispute. We received and accepted their dispute, and we can confirm that an investigation is actively underway.

Additionally, we issued a provisional credit to the customer on October 31st to provide temporary relief as the investigation proceeds.

I am rejecting this response because: the only communication I got was I was not approved for the provisional credit. It wasn't till after I made the complaint that y'all felt the need to give it to me. It's now past the 45 day ***** Guess what no update. If it wasn't for the BBB I would not have heard anything other than being told there is no update.

    Sincerely,

Thank you for reaching out and notifying us regarding this customers complaint.

We have been in direct communication with this individual several times since they first raised their concerns. As we previously advised, their remaining funds are on track to be received by the end of day today, November 4th, consistent with the original timeframe provided.

To clarify, the account was closed due to deposit activity that violated our cardholder agreement, and multiple warnings were issued prior to this action.

DO NOT USE SESAME CASH!!! Sesame Cash destroyed my credit. I started Sesame Cash with depositing $300 in July. I used the card daily and added $300 at the beginning of each month. In September I received a late payment on my report which dropped my credit score 271 points. I called Sesame Cash and was told there was nothing they could do about it and given another number which was nothing but a recording. I them add more money taking my account to $590 in September and made no purchases until last night. Today I received a notification indicating a late payment for Sesame Cash. It states that I missed a $512 payment even though I did not make one purchase in September or October. I currently have $554 in Sesame Cash. My credit score is in the 400s and I am trying to move this month. On September 12, 2024 I had a defibrillator put in and will be getting a cath put in on October 9th. I am a candidate for a heart transplant. Now I am about to be homeless in a couple weeks because of the inadequate information Sesame Cash is reporting to the credit bureau. Sesame Cash is destroying my life for no reason. Im just ready to die right now.

On Sept. 12, 2024, I spoke to a company rep. ***** ***** and purchase a business opportunity called The Online Cash Machine, for $37.00 dollars, the opportunity wasn't set out to be as he claimed, so I asked for a refund. After repeated calls and no response I decided to file a complaint.

    Business response

    10/04/2024

Thank you for reaching out to us. After reviewing your claim, we believe there may be some confusion, as we do not have a representative by the name Barry White, nor are we affiliated with a company called "The Online Cash Machine."

We recommend double-checking the company information you have and reaching out to the appropriate business.

Credit Sesame got me to sign up a for what was supposed to be a free account and all of a sudden they started charging me an inactivity fee and a service fee! Then they use AI bots for customer service and don't have a phone number for contact. I have been trying to remove my money but they won't let me connect my bank account and won't let me change any of the info on my account. I moved to a new location and that has to be changed to withdraw my money. They have take a total of $152.90 in fees without warning or any transaction emails. Thats absurd! I want all that fee money back! This has been going on since June of 2023 and I have had the account since February 2023 so as you can see they just started coming with the fees with no warning what soever. Thats just horrible business practices.

    Business response

    10/04/2024

Acknowledging the customer's concerns, communication regarding inactivity and service fees was conveyed through both email and in-app push notifications. We also recognize that the customer attempted to engage with us via chat, and we appreciate their effort to resolve the issue.

One of our representatives attempted to contact the customer by phone on 09/23/2024 to address their concerns directly. Unfortunately, the call went unanswered, and a voicemail was left requesting a callback. We have not yet received a response from the customer.

Furthermore, the customer’s account was closed on 09/16/2024. Should the customer wish to discuss this matter further, we are more than happy to assist and encourage them to reach out at their earliest convenience.

A credit pull from this company showed on my credit report for July 2024. I do not, nor have I ever opened an account on this website. I reached out to the company to gather information on how I had an inquiry from this company on my credit report without ever using the service. **************** is extremely slow to respond and after a month of waiting for a response into how my information is being used in their website they told me theres nothing they can do. Ill be filing a police report naming credit sesame in my complaint for identity theft.

This company is harassing my financial being by reporting and claiming I owe for a credit builder which I have never engaged in their product. Im giving them a fair opportunity to clear this matter completely up or I will be filing state and federal complaints against their establishment.
