Common theme here:Don't buy a kit. Seems like a good deal, $81 or so for some magic beard oil and a trimmer, who would pass that up? It auto-enrolls you in a subscription that rolls through every month and charges you for one of all of their different types of snake oil. There is no mention of this anywhere on the product page, and you get no discount on the subscription plan, making it so your monthly refill actually costs MORE than the original plan (at least in my case).On top of that, they email you CONSTANTLY. Yeah, I know there's an unsubscribe button, it's still annoying. If you keep a tab open from Beard Club, it flashes back and forth with a pathetic little "COME BACK!!! WE MISS YOU!" message, which is really frustrating to deal with if you work with multiple tabs open like I do. The products themselves seemed fine, I honestly couldn't tell you. The brush and electric razor I received were good additions to my beard, and I honestly can't reliably tell you whether or not the oils work. Wouldn't matter anyway, there's literally no review button anywhere on the site. As is unfortunately a common business practice these days, the website boasts a "4.99 star" average across reviews, with over 6000 5 star ratings! (which makes no sense when you think about it, because if they only had ~6100 reviews that were 5 stars it would be impossible to reach 4.99 stars).I gotta say, I feel stupid for even buying from them in the first place. It's the most obvious club of charlatans you can find online. Please, if you want to get someone a gift for their beard, don't look here.
