    Purchased solar and a backup batter from this company. The backup battery has never been installed correctly. I've tried to get the company out over the last year+. I've emailed consistently and called repeatedly. I constantly get that somebody will get back to me and never does. Finally got somebody and he came out to property in middle of rain storm. Couldn't assess situation this was a Friday. Said he will come back Monday. That was 2 months ago. Also, in September 2024, a solar panel blew off in wind storm. I texted them and called them immediately. They apologize and have not done anything about it. Finally, somebody came out February 15th, 2025 or so to assess issue. He said he had to come back to fix battery. Haven't heard anything since. Also, he took pictures of solar panel and again, I've heard nothing. Also, a year ago, my solar went down for 4 mos. It took that long to get somebody out here to fix it. Finally, after paying for the solar for 4 mos of not having it AND being charged by Southern California ****** for those 4 mos for their surcharge, this company refused to respond or refund me anything due to their lack of response. They are completely unprofessional. All their contractors quit on them cause they don't pay them. Numerous employees have said this to me. They can't keep anybody cause they treat them so poorly. I don't know what to do anymore. The better has been years and never been installed correctly. Been an issue since day one of installation. They need to come out and fix it and replace the solar panel that could've killed somebody that flew off my room and landed in my backyard (luckily) rather than hit somebody or their car or their house.

    This is 100% false.  In fact, I spoke with ******, their manager at **************** who called me after this complaint was received, and he confirmed there is a ticket that has been open for 8 months.  There are still 2 major issues and he is well aware of them. He said he would email me details from the contractor yesterday but that was never received.  Also said he will follow up with a call to me on Friday to set up an electrician to come out.  And, the ticket from ************ well over $5000 and requests for refunds were never even acknowledged or replied to.  I have the email requests for proof if needed.

    On September 5, 2024, I made my first contact to customer service at *** about a problem I was having with my solar system. I had the ***************************** perform a diagnostic check on my system because it didn't seem to be performing at peak performance. The result of that diagnostic revealed that there was a problem within my system, and to reach out to these company (***) to get someone out to fix it. I sent *** a copy of the diagnostic report I received from ********** on September 5, 2024. In the 196 days that have passed, i have reached out via email 34 times. My system warranty explicitly explains that any system maintenance and repairs go through *** or else it would invalidate the warranty. I have tried calling **************** directly several times but never get anyone to answer. Email responses back to me number only 3 or 4 and all saying the same thing....they will try getting their technicians to me soon. I actually had a scheduled phone appointment (made by *** ***************** to try getting this rectified, but whoever was suppose to call me never did call. I purchased my system in 2018 when this company was called "Green Solar Technologies!" This is my 3rd time since purchasing my system at a cost of $58,000 before rebates where the response time for repairs is unacceptable. My 1st issue was the original inverter stopped working, and after reporting this problem, it took them about 3 months to my recollection to get their service technician here to replace the broken on. The 2nd incident involved a complete system shutdown, and for 9 MONTHS, I attempted to get my warranted system fixed. After 9 months I finally received authorization from *** to hire a local solar repair service to come and fix what ended up being 1 single connector that had burned out. And now, here I am again for a 3rd time asking only that timely repairs be made to my system. I see by other BBB complaints that I am not a Lone Wolf in this argument.

    All I want and expect from *** customer service is good communications back and forth. Today, you were the first ****** to actually call and talk to me on the issue I thought was going on from the Solar Edge diagnostic. Being that I initially reached out initially back in September 2024, I feel strongly that it shouldn't take 7 months to respond with answers to the issues I thought were happeng.     I bought a solar system from them in 2023. Last year the system stopped working. I have contacted them multiple times. They only called me back once (outside the time I asked them to call). They are no longer responding to me. There is no power coming from the system according to both ************ and Enphase. I want my system fixed. The panels are still well under warranty.

    We contracted with Green Home Systems on 5/18/22 to install a solar system for our home. The contract stated that work would be complete in six months. The system was not completed and online until 1/16/24; twenty months after the contract was signed, 14 months late. Despite the fact that the system was not functional, we began being billed for it (while also paying Xcel) at the rate of $250 per month. This continued for five months before the system went online and became functional. We were told by our project manager that we would be reimbursed for these payments more than 18 months ago, but still have received no such reimbursement.Our system then failed 5/22/24; less than six months after it was finally put online. Though the contract states we have a 25-year warranty on parts and labor, repeated contacts with Green Home Systems, asking for repair to the system we contracted for, went unanswered. No one even came out to access the problem for months and the system was not even partially repaired until 9/28/24. That is an additional 129 days without service from a system we contracted and paid for. And it was another 87 days before the battery was replaced and the system was fully **************, do not walk away from this total unethical company!

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The issue is not whether or not my array is producing sufficient energy WHEN it is working. My complainnt is that I was paying full price for this system when it was NOT working. The sysstem was installed 14 months late, but I began getting billed for it five months before it was actually working. Further, *** is responsible (per contract) for servicing the system. It went down 5/22/24 and was not even partially repaired for more than four months (129 days) and it was not fully repaired (battery replaced) for another three months. I was still paying for this the entire time it was down.

    II signed up for solar three years ago in 2022 but have yet to receive the product for my homes. The last contact was made on September 11, 2023, when they informed me that the original plans for my home would not work and that they would reach out to the city of ****** to review new structural plans. At that point, I asked them to cancel the project, as it had already exceeded the quoted one-year timeline.Since then, I have not heard from them, but the loan company has continued to charge me for solar equipment that was never installed. When I explained the situation to the loan company, they said they would contact the merchant but were ********** a result, I have now been reported as delinquent on my payments for a product that was never delivered. This has severely impacted my credit score, and I have yet to find a resolution with Green Sky or the loan company.

    Hi ****, why do you keep putting bad reviews when you already have know the roof is not suitable for more than a year?



    spoke to the installer from Honey Bee, @**** Parra he said they already paid for the permit.
    However they are going to cancel the permit, because Honey bee said it's a major liability and does not feel comfortable installing on this roof. He said its a duplex with like a foam roof. No wood.
    @****** Hebert may have to cancel this job due to safety concerns

    Solar system installed in Jan 2021 through Green Home Systems. Inverter failed in Sept 2024. Took a week to get replacement inverter and called to schedule a repair. I have called 2-3 times a week and I either get the response of cannot get a technician or no available schedule. They have not called me first unless it is a return call from earlier in day. Told I will get a call back with updates, and is yet to happen. For the past 3 weeks I have been calling daily and no one picks up and I leave a message, and have not got a single response back. Tried contacting through phone, email, and social media with no response. I have contacted almost all solar installers within a 100 miles of home and all of them responded with they have not been contacted by Green Home Systems. I dont want an apology, I want a resolution.

    We received solar panels from this company 3/2024. We were informed they participated in the IL Shines program and would be eligible for a rebate from ********. The numbers that they quoted us reflected the federal and state rebates and we were told they participated in the IL shines program to allow this. Carbon solutions who handle this process contacted us and said: At this time, your Part 2 application has been reviewed by IL Shine's. However, the application cannot currently receive final approval due to the installer that completed your project not being a registered Designee of the IL Shine's Program. This is a program requirement, and *** did not take the necessary steps to register this entity with IL Shine's prior to your install. I highly recommend reaching out to GHS directly at ******************************* regarding this issue. The alternative here if the company will not register is to have another company that is an installer Designee of IL Shine's and holds a DG license, perform an inspection of the system at no additional costs passed on to you, and instead covered by ***. We apologize for this unfortunate circumstance, as it is the responsibility of the company that submitted your project to *** to take all necessary steps to ensure compliance. Attempts to contact *** since 11/22 have gone unanswered. I have called/emailed/texted since early November for resolution, and no one will contact us. IL rebate is over $10000. Per Carbon solutions who handles this, they replied: Typical practice (which did not occur) is for Designees to notify *** to register subcontracted installers as "Nested Designees" under the sales entity that sold the system. Without the Designee taking the necessary steps to ensure compliance, we do not know who installs the system until we are provided with the information. We need help in resolving this problem as we are due our $10000 state rebate.

    I have a solar system, purchased in 2021, with Green Home Systems. System has been out of service since Sept 19, 2024. I have been calling them since October requesting service but am told that they are waiting on a response from service technician. Contact has been made approximately every 2-3 weeks as the crevice *** tells me it may take a couple weeks for the technician to schedule.

    I had solar panels put on my house in 2021. I need a new roof now its over 50 years old. I had a roofing company came and give me a quote of ($14,463). I told them I had to call Green Home to see about removing and reinstalling the panels. Green Home told me it would cost me $12.000 for them to take them down and reinstall them but if I go with them to have the roof put on it would only cost me $5,000. ****** told me to send him the contract and that they would do the same installation that Home Genius was going to do and the cost of that was $21,460 that was back in March of 2024. They also told me if I get another company to remove and reinstall the panels that it would void my warranty.I was approve from their finance company for the roof.****** Shield is the person I did the contract with. ****** ******* is the person I have talked to about getting the roof installed a few times. The last time was in September and she told me they have the people to do the panel's but are looking for a roofer. She gave me a name of a roofing company ****. I have been calling and getting no answer or customer service will have them call me back. I still have heard from anyone from Green Home.I have talked to another solar company and he told me they shouldn't have put the panel's on a roof that old with out asking about getting a new roof first.I don't understand why they can't find a company to put the roof on. Why couldn't they use Home Genius they already have a copy of their ********** be honest I don't know what to do and was hoping you could help me. I just want a new roof.     We have been having a hard time finding roofers with open availability, but we have an alternate roofer who may be able to assist. We will have someone reach out to you with an update within the next 24 hours. 

    I want to be clear, If we can't find anyone to take on the project we will refund your money and have you contract someone else.

    Trust me we are trying our best but this isn't a situation to put a complaint with BBB as it's not up to us who accepts this job.

    GreenSolar did find a company to remove the solar panels put on a new roof and reinstall the panels but we have not been able to make an installation date.

    I signed a contract with Green Home Systems (GHS) for solar installation on 4/10/2023. On 7/14/2023 I made payment of $6500 for materials that were never delivered as *** said our plan was never approved by the city and that my project was delayed.I've made numerous requests to be refunded and have spoken with a number of project managers who have been responsive, yet I still do not have solar installed and am no closer to getting refunded for the materials.

    Our PM ***** was in touch with you a few weeks ago explaining that we had a problem with our bill of materials invoice and we have now sourced all the proper materials and are ready to ship sometime within a week. 

     

    But there was never a time were you were kept out of the loop. Once we do ship the materials keep in mind the entire install usually takes 1 day.
