Several months ago my daughter saw a physician at Kaiser. She is 21 years old with her own insurance. Kaiser decided to send me the bill and refused to redirect the bill towards my daughters account. Terrible ********************** practice.

Kaiser Permenate terminated my account. I opted for online billing, and put on automatic payments. I thought the account was being paid off. I often check online to see if anythings were due, but the premiums were no longer showing. This probably happened when you swtich to automatic payments? This is a technical issue on their end. My card was not being accepted, so that was the reason. I did not know that my premiums were not being paid. They sent out the letters to notify me, but I only saw one letter a few months later. By the time I sent in my check, they said my account was already terminated, and they wouldn't reinstate my account.

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Kaiser is the worse company to be with. They do not, I repeat, DO NOT, care about mental health. They say they care but it will take 2 years to get any type of appointment related to mental health through their system. I tried to do an appeal and they denied me even though I could see a mental health specialist in a few weeks versus 2 years. On top of that, if I want to make an appointment, the system is horrible when it comes to finding any type of appointments. I tried to find appointments close to me but they only show availability 50+ miles away. DO NOT GET KAISER IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM KAISER.

I have had the worst medical experience in my life with kaiser. What a shame. I had chronic diarrhea for three months. I saw FOUR kaiser doctors and my diarrhea persisted. It was as if they did not care. Why do they go into this profession? The 800# is worthless and so is their costumer service department. I went to ********** on vacation(I almost did not go because of my diarrhea). I saw a gastroenterologist there and I was finally cured. SHAME ON KAISER!!!

We purchased Health Insurance through Kaiser and made sure we got the **** as we were told we could see any Dr.'s, but when our Dr.'s order test/CT scans/MRI's from an outside dr. of Kaiser, Kaiser comes backs and denies the scans to be done. They insist the scan's be done at their facility. They Deny the medical necessary treatments the DR. has requested to do for cancer treatments for an employee, and will only approve a less abrasive treatment. I feel like they are trying to monopolize the health care by selling insurance than saying certain stuff can only be done done in their facility.

If you are not ill, Kaiser is probably a decent health plan. If you are ill, I do NOT recommend Kaiser! My husband is currently ill and in the hospital. The doctors are not even giving him the necessary time to see if he can get better. They send in a new representative from different departments, daily, to convince me to send my husband to hospice. They have even tried using scare tactics! One social worker told me that at some point, the insurance is going to stop paying and I would begin to accrue a bill. The doctors keep asking me what is my goal with my husbands health. I asked the doctor today, what is your goal? His response was, to work with you on the best plan of care for your husband . Why is it that i dont feel his stated intention? It seems to me that they have totally given up on him and would love for me to send him to a place where he will surely die in a couple of days! In summary, I do NOT recommend using Kaiser Permanente for your health insurance!!!

Kaiser misrepresented the reason for claim filed for unjust hospital discharge. In their response letter they blamed everything on my PCP who had nothing to do with anything on the grievance. It is reprehensible that they threw him under the bus when the grievance had to do with how they had me discharged from the hospital by a phone call. The hospital staff were not involved and were surprised when I informed them of the call. I had entered the non Kaiser hospital with chest pain. They were running a series of tests to see what actually was causing the pain. I was prepped for an angiogram and then they called to tell me I was discharged. This happened in late July and there was no information given to me about the outcomes of the tests already taken. I as told by Kaiser I would get a call the following Monday. I got a call on Monday to tell me the dr was not available and they would call me when appointment was available. The appointment was in mid August and I was referred to cardiologist who saw me mid September. He mentioned that it would have been helpful if they had done angiogram! He referred me for a ** scan which took place in November. So it took four months for something that should have been resolved if I had not been discharged. I still do not have a complete answer about the cause and at the same time they also informed me of a spot on my lung that was detected on the ** scan. I have now dropped Kaiser after more than35 years. It is not the same health plan I had before.

I was referred to a podiatrist for a left foot injury in May. The referring physician called the injury Neuromas. The referral approved a visit and surgery to a podiatrist. I saw the podiatrist in June and July. I was given a cortisone shot and was told if there was no improvement I would need surgery. There was no improvement and was told I needed an MRI before surgery could be performed. It took from July to November to get the approval for the **** Both my physician and the podiatrist claimed it was the other's responsibility. I made 3 complaints through the Kaiser complaint and resolution department. I complained to the union and finally got the referral for the **** I received a phone call, email, and text message at 6:30 PM notifying me that they had been trying to get a hold of me to schedule the **** I called immediately and waited on hold for over an hour when I realized the scheduling department closed at 7. I scheduled the appointment for 6:30 AM. I left my home at 5:20 AM the day of the appointment and hit a traffic accident that made the travel to the Kaiser facility an hour and a half instead of the 50 minutes that I expected. I was told that they would work me in but I would have to wait. After waiting over 2 hours I was told everyone had been on time and I would need to continue to wait. It is the way I have been treated that concerns me. No one cares about my pain or discomfort, I need to wait. I hate being invisible, especially by a healthcare provider. No one should have to go through this when they are paying for services that are not being provided. The uncaring attitude, from the overall healthcare staff. Being talked down to by staff.

Kaiser Permanente has too many members, not enough physicians or staff. This is reflected in their appointment lead times and how long it takes to pickup a prescription.No-cost flu shots are no longer available at select retail pharmacies outside of Kaiser Permanente. Theyre not even available at all major Kaiser campuses.Hard to definitively say theyre rationing care, but thats what it feels like.
