Half an hour later I was still not seen and no explanation was provided. I left and was subsequently charged a $50 no show fee. However it was the provider who was a no show.Initial Complaint

Carbon Health and my Medical Health, Blue Shield with CCPN have an agreement on charges and were billed for services rendered, on my son, for X-rays at a ********* Services on 1/3/24 were performed. Ins was billed, and by 2/14/24, Carbon Health had drafted $432.19 from our checking account, even though the insurance paid on 2/6/24. Carbon Health was so hard to understand as the call was a center in another country. But what I gathered was they could refund me $102.19 now and when the payment was fully funded they would refund the balance. I never received notice that the funds were being drafted. It had only been 30 days. I was informed by our insurance that our OOP was $15. And that was it. Carbon Health sent no explanation and took it upon themselves to draft what they thought was theirs before allowing insurance the time to pay. *** had to cut them off from being able to draft from my account. They used my credit card information from my co payment and thats a breach of trust. A bunch of wankers and beyond shady. If it had been even $100 or less I wouldnt be so outraged, but $432 is over the top. And it is beyond frustrating when you dont fully understand your problem due to a language barrier. Filling a complaint here as well as the insurance commissioner. Ive never had anyone, ever, withdrawl money for a service.Initial Complaint

I had a doctor *********** January 3, 2024 at Carbon Health in *******. I have been there several times. They have my insurance, Blue Shield CA. Unknown to me, they had saved my debit card to their system. After the visit, I had so many problems getting a referral for an MRI, that I quit Carbon Health, and got a different provider and insurance. Carbon Health is incompetent: They don't answer the phone, they don't reply to emails, and they don't respond to complaints. I looked them up on BBB and read the many accounts of people being charged without their consent and/or being charged in error. Alarmed, I revoked any authorization to use my debit card for payment of any charges (attached). Then I called my bank and requested a stop payment for any charges that might come through from Carbon Health. February 3, I lost my debit card. I reported the loss to the bank. They shut down my card and issued me a new card, which I received a week later. February 7, I received a statement from Carbon Health (attached) saying that I owe them $193.47 for the January 3 visit. I tried calling (no answer). I called Blue Shield asking if they had gotten a claim. They had not. In fact, the statement listed Blue Shield but with the wrong physicians' group. I then sent an email to Carbon Health informing them that their insurance was incorrect and provided them with the correct insurance (attached). They never responded.February 14, I got an email thanking me for my payment of $193.47. The charge had gone through despite withdrawing my authorization, placing a stop with the bank, and replacing my debit card. The debit card they used was my closed debit card. I immediately called the bank and filed a dispute. Carbon apparently can update debit cards when lost/stolen. The bank issued a temporary credit while they investigate. I filed a grievance with Blue Shield and with ******** against Carbon. I have no guarantee the bank credit will remain. Carbon Health needs to be stopped.Initial Complaint

I was receiving an email about a past due balance and no longer use or access that account due to my personal information being stolen and I have decided not to use any electronic billing due to the ongoing risk. I called the company to pay the bill and asked if they would send me an invoice so I can pay it. They refused saying they are not allowed to send paper bills, however my parents have received paper bills from them before. The supervisor at Carbon Health, *********** refused to send me a bill and I said I would pay them if they sent me an invoice.Initial Complaint

Carbon Health has been trying to get us to pay for medical services that were covered by our insurance ****************** We have called Anthem and they said Carbon Health has been trying to put 7-8 claims through for one simple visit that involved a PCR swab and nothing else. They are simply trying to extort money from customers and insurance companies alike. Luckily Anthem is taking care of it, but we will never be using Carbon Health again and want all consumers to be aware of the shady practices of this company.Initial Complaint

This company did a covid test for me over 2 years ago and was paid by my insurance. 2 years later they decide to bill me the full amount without authorization claiming there was an issue with my insurance. My explanation of benefits says they were paid, and that they legally were not allowed to bill me any additional charges due to health emergency status. They even got a chargeback reversed because it seems **** falls for scams like this one. These guys should be barred from existing.Initial Complaint

I booked online a Covid test at Carbon Health in ************, ** . I received confirmation of my appointment. An hour before my appointment I received a text reminder of my appointment.I showed up for my appointment. The desk clerk asked if I got a voicemail. I said I did not but I got 2 texts from Carbon as reminders of the appointment Desk clerk said they dont do that test!! I told him I drove across the ****************** in the rain for this appointment. He said they were hoping a shipment would come next week!!!That was it. No sorry, no nothing. He mentioned that particular type of test they ran out awhile ago. I asked about any other test . He said I could have the quick swab test for $75 I declined to pay $75 for the swab test Now having driven over the ********* in the rain while not feeling all that good in the first place youd think he say so sorry Or -sorry and well give you the quick swab test for free Nope. That was it Very dismissive man Heres the take away:1. Carbon Health is unprofessional and disorganized to allow you to book online a service they dont have Its not like I booked with Robs corner pharmacy Or aunt Susies kitchen for a test This is a large healthcare chain. Youd expect if you book a test and show up youd get the test. 2. They have terrible customer service, rude, no remorse for not offering the service I booked and me driving in to them .3. Not professional to online state they have covid tests when they dont because by definition of a patient seeking a covid test they dont feel that great to begin with so why drag them out of their home to come in to an office when theyll just be turned home Be Careful -IF you book with Carbon they may OR MAY not deliver. You may drive in to them for nothing and be left high and dry. In Marin there are many professional urgent cares and services. This company does not belong in Marin They are sketchy BewareInitial Complaint

I was incorrectly billed $140 for a service I had insurance for. In addition to that I emailed them not to charge the card on file (as it wasn't mine it was my partners) and to email me the bill (so I could call my insurance). They ignored my request and charged the card. I have tried to call them over 10 times in the last week and emailed them for months for a refund. Every time I call I am on hold for almost an hour and am hung up on. My partner is putting in a fraud claim through ********** at this point. I will NEVER use their service again and strongly urge anyone to stay away from this company. They are extremely shady.
