AHS:American Home Shield *********************** CHC:CAL-HOME CONSTRUCTION, *** (contractor assigned by AHS) I need your help with a matter related to AHS dispatch number ********* and service request for our master bathroom toilet, scheduled on 12/22/2023. *** assigned CHC as the contractor, and unfortunately, their service resulted in unintended water leaks and damage in our residence. Timeline: 12/17/2023: Service request raised with AHS for a non-rotating angle stop valve (no leak before this). 12/22/2023: CHC technician installed a new angle stop valve, leading to subsequent leaks. 12/28/2023: Leaks discovered in family room ceiling and kitchen AC vent; HOA notified. 12/29/2023: *************** (HOA sent) determined the leak wasn't roof-related. 12/29/2023: Reasonable Handymen identified faulty angle stop valve as the cause and fixed it. Attempts to Resolve: 01/05/2024: Emailed AHS at ********************** as advised by their employee ******; no response. Made multiple calls to them before and after sending this email. Follow up email sent on 01/07/2024 01/19/2024: Senior technician from CHC visited, and CHC disclaimed responsibility via email. 01/22/2024: Sent more proofs to CHC - damage report from HOA assigned restoration company, a snapshot of my conversation with the plumber from Reasonable Handymen who fixed the issue and that AHS was timely informed.
