****** apologizes profusely and promises me $1000.00 off asking if I come back. I asked him to appraise my trade in since it was with us on the lot. He checks the vin and inspects the trade in. ****** confirms he is in authority to make final deals ****** offers me $8500.00 for my trade in and confirms I will get $1000.00 off asking for the car I am interested in purchasing. (at the time of the offer the car is on the website for $18,900). WE SHAKE HANDS AND I CONFIRM THE DEAL VERBALLY WHILE SHAKING HANDS. ($8500 For my trade in and $1000.00 off asking (sticker price)).That night the dealership enters into a sales period and updates their website prices. The car I am interested in is now offered for sale on the website for $17,777.00.A few days later my wife and I went to test drive the **********. ****** confirms again that all work (oil change, and repairs ) had been performed by the closest ********** dealer .I ask to see the work order from the Alfa Dealer. Conveniently, the head mechanic is the only person that has access to this paperwork, and he took a personal day and couldnt be reached.****** now reneges on our deal and begins to present now trade in numbers. He now says all they will give me for my trade is $8000.00 AND that the lowest they will go on the car is $17,777.00. He now refused to give me the $1000.00 off asking he promised me and that we shook hands on just days before. I bought it anyway only to find out in needs over $2000.00 in mandatory repairs that must be completed right away. Vista Motors is not an honest dealer. They will make deals to get you back and then attempt to rip you off. We shook hands and made a deal and then when the paperwork came Vista Motors raised the price $1500.00. They lied about the condition of the vehicle and lied about it being fixed by a certified mechanic.I have since spoken with ********** and they have confirmed that VISTA Motors lied about the car being serviced by any of their dealerships.Business Response

Mr. ********* did come in that Saturday morning, August 24, 2024, crossing emails Sales *** who confirmed Eta when Mr. ********* emailed not phone call Manager realized and emailed back It was just a little too late before he seen email. There was number on the lead only email contact. the vehicle was off lot unfortunately he was not aware it had been removed by the ******, We taken to Service AC to our service company never advised it was at **** dealer. We offered him the discount and trade in estimate at the time as when he came in the Alfa was not available, so we only went through vin and miles never inspecting the car. After speaking and trying to make things right for vehicle not being here. we went over all we advised we still had to check the vehicle he said he had no problems there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. We honored the 1000 discount we gave him 627 off the theft patrol device and gave him the door edge guards at no cost which are *******. We did not deliver because he was paying with a credit card so we advised it had to be present in order to accept the payment via credit card. August 27 was when he came in did all paperwork and sent his car to get inspected we advised him of the problems it had and advised we could only pay ******* as it had over 1000 work needed. We asked him to go over it with his wife as she was here as well and he gave us the green light to proceed with the sale. He did not have to purchase trade in or accept the price total, he choose to. We honored our price discount and more. He test drove checked the car was here over 3 hours attached are emails we were clear. price was ***** sold ***** plus all fees.

I was there looking into a car and I wanted a rough estimate of my payments. I didnt want to run my credit. I was then told it would be a soft credit check. I got a notification that a hard credit check has been done on my credit when I confronted the ********************* stated that it wouldnt effect my credit since its just a soft credit check then he said if it does it would only knock 1 or 2 points **** Soft credit checks shouldnt knock any points. I later emailed him asking for his statement since I will be appealing the hard credit check and he never reached back to me.Business Response

This customer filled out a credit app directly and its stated there would be a inquiry on the credit, he at first wanted to finance then went to discussing a cash purchase, as he was not happy with the interest rates at the moment. There was no way to get consumers social number and or personal information without his consent. We did not send to banks for approval as this is what he asked us not to do until he knew what rates would be offered this would have been more hard hits and points being deducted. When purchasing a car this is a must to obtain credit and that was his intention when coming inCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
They didnt give me an option to not give them my social security number and he first said that I wouldnt get any points reduced on my credit score then after confronting **** the manager he then changed his words and said it should only knock down 1 or 2 points. Soft credit checks should not knock any points. He could have gave me a hypothetical number with the credit score I provided but they did not want to give me numbers until I gave them my social. Every other dealership Ive been to after gave me a quote without a credit check soft or hard until I allowed them. This place is very unprofessional and ****** the salesman was using profanity and unprofessional language when trying to sell me the vehicle. If you look at the history of this business there is multiple complaints already filed.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car, that ****** , **** and ** assured me that was service and work great , I drove the car home and a service light came on , I immediately called and told them about it, I took the car back and they had their Mech. Look at it, he did but the light came back on , I call for a manual so I could see what the light was. He could not give me one. I went on line and and took it back . Their Mech. Said it would go away. It did not , later the car stall as I was driving and I narrowly avoided an accident and found out that the clutch and several components near the clutch were going out and that why the light kept coming on.The shop certified mini shop that I took it to said these type of issues happen over time and could not have happened within the two **nths I had the car.Well ****** *********** ,sold me a car with problems and told me he only evaluate car for safety issues . He and his sale people did not attempt to remedy the situation , He did tell me that it was pass 30 days , but I took the car back to them before 30 days and he and his mechanic said it was good, which was not true I would like for them to pay for my repairs that they should have done when I took it back instead of passing the buck . ****** has a habit of adding things to your contact without explaining it to you , I had to ask him about charging on the contract they he try to add, Things to,as I read some of the reviews ,this is a com**n problem and practice at this dealership . Dishonesty and deceptive conduct is not warranted and this dealership should refrain from this kind of conduct.I was looking for him to be **re considerate , instead of telling me that he understands, , my problem is I took the car back three time and called before the 30days and they kept telling me it was okay
