    BBB opened an investigation into this firm due to the number of inquiries we have received. According to BBB files, consumers allege not receiving the purchases they paid for. Furthermore, consumers allege not being able to get a response with the details of their orders or refunds. On March 13, 2024 the BBB contacted the company regarding our concerns about the amount and pattern of complaints we have received, unfortunately, the BBB did not receive a response.

    The Federal Trade Commission’s Prompt Delivery Rules "spells out the ground rules for making promises about shipments, notifying consumers about unexpected delays, and refunding consumers' money.     Advertising Review:
    On August 24, 2022, BBB Serving Los Angeles and Silicon Valley requested that the business substantiate, modify, or discontinue claims on the company's website, https://www.homesizy.com. The company advertises: "We offer a satisfied guarantee or refund your money back. If you don't receive your order or recognize the items are not similar to the description."

    The BBB Code of Advertising states, "20.1 When using the term "warranty" or "guarantee" in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser's website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. 20.2 Advertisers should only use "satisfaction guarantee," "money back guarantee," "free trial offer," or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. 20.3 When "satisfaction guarantee" or similar representations are used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. 20.4 When advertising "lifetime" warranties or guarantees or similar representations, the advertisement must clearly and conspicuously disclose its intended meaning of the term "lifetime." 20.5 Sellers or manufacturers should advertise that a product or service is warranted or guaranteed only if the seller or manufacturer promptly and fully performs its obligations under the warranty or guarantee."

    I went on this Homesizy website to purchase a Halloween costume on October 19th. I chose my costume, went to check out l. I selected PayPal as my payment method of choice. It routed me back to the website, an extra page loaded saying most customers buy these other products with their purchase. There was a sliver of a button that said No thank you or something to that effect. Well the button was too small and I accidentally clicked on a second costume. I thought no worries when the confirmation screen loads Ill just remove that erroneous costume from my total. To my surprise there was NO confirmation page. The next thing that loaded was a thank you for your order screen. I couldnt cancel the order on their webpage, it is super difficult to navigate it. I found a phone number that said I could call between some crazy hours of 3 to 5 pm UT time?! After I did the conversions I found that I am working during the 2 hours of customer service time!! This is when I knew o got stiffed for my money. I persevered. I received and email 7 days later saying my order was shipping. I scrolled to the bottom and under the weird phone call hours I found a mother number I can text for help! I sent a text there on October 26th, I told them my order is wrong please cancel it. They responded 2 days later on a Saturday at midnight! They said please email for help, why have a text number for customer service if youre not going to provide customer service?! I missed that message due to the insane hour I received it. So I received the package on November 5th. I checked the text message as I knew I wrote them, thats when I saw the email they sent! I emailed them that very day, they told me they only refund of the order is wrong. I told them it is wrong, so refund me the money for the one costume. Then they told me if my order was placed incorrectly I only have 2 hours to get a refund. That is very convenient as they make it impossible to communicate with anyone! I want a refund.

    Terrible company I ordered the wrong size I have tried calling and left numerous messages I have texted and did help messaging from the site and I have not gotten any response on how to resolve the issue
