Kind of a "bait and switch". They can get you in to a loan and then make it impossible to get out of. They are holding the equity in my home hostage and their is a LOT of equity that I am unable to access. I wouldn't do it again and I don't recommend it.Review from LaLa L

I just received a payoff notice from Point. Points appraisals are not accurate and the interest rates are too high. They took advantage of me when I was in need. 3 years later, Point wants me to pay them almost 1/2 the value of my home. I would NEVER suggest Point to anyone.Review from Jo S

The *** helped us start our business. With no monthly payments we had a good financial buffer. It helped us accomplish what we needed to, without the fear of falling behind on monthly payments. We will repay point in a year or two when our business takes off.Review from Kerry B

Highly recommend, Point. We were able to make the home improvements we needed and pay off all of our cards without monthly payments. They provided a lot of resources to make sure we understood what it was we were getting into. The team was helpful and responsive. Overall smooth process and easy.Review from Alex B

Our experience has been an excellent one. We were fortunate to have Points team guide us through the multiple steps we had to complete and be there when needed. My wife and I retired 5 years ago and could not refinance our property because of lending guidelines referring to our income. Our credit is labeled as good, but we could not get approved since percentages relating to debt/income were too high for their guidelines. We received an offer from POINT and started the application. I researched the other 2-3 companies that work like Point. I was out of options, but Point allowed me to keep my home, get fully out of debt, and pay my daughters college tuition. My contact person was *******************. From my first inquiry phone call to the last day before the final documents were signed, I felt like *** was on my side. Finally, for those who want to use Point, I read some negative reviews, but you have to be diligent regarding documents and submit whats required. Its not magic; it wont happen unless you are involved.Review from Freddy T

Tried out Point and was pleasantly surprised given other reviews. We wanted a loan or investment that didn't require income evaluation (I'm on commission) and this worked great for my needs. I was really worried about the pricing but I think others they misunderstood or had different expectations of what it would cost. Worked well for me especially with loans being so expensive. Liked working with my rep too -- she was great.Pros - way quicker than I expected. Took 35 days and could have been a lot quicker if I wasn't so slow/careful - liked the website and being able to do nearly everything online - friendly agent brought me through the process - straight forward - got the money on time - 30 year term (this was a big deal for me)Cons - the discount to the home price (the agent explained it well but still wasn't delighted about it)- wish I could have gotten some more money than I did Overall Good option if you want the money but don't want monthly payments :)
