I was contemplating your service to improve my credit standing but didn't think I completed application because after finding out they don't report to all 3 agencies I knew it wouldn't be beneficial to me and my situation. As soon as I saw this come out my bank I called them to stop that action. I was told they would fill out a ticket and decide in ** ****** I don't understand the need for delay. The application was started on the 19th, it was be deducted from my bank on the 23rd. Why can't they stop the process. I'm hoping to receive a resolution because if they don't report to all agencies it doesn't help your credit and it's very deceiving!!!

On Sep 4,2021 I responded to an ad on Facebook. Rent Reporters offered to report my rental history to the credit bureaus. And offered a money back satisfaction guarantee. They charged my card $94.95 then I didn't hear from them. I went on their web site and tried to log on but it would not allow me to do so. When I went on their live chat the rep said that sometimes happens. A few days later I received an email from them with a consent form attached. They instructed me to fill the form out and take it to my landlord. My landlord refused to participate in this. I then ask for a refund, Rent Reporters sent me two emails instructing me that because my landlord refused to report to them that I was not entitled to a refund. I feel cheated that none of this was stated in my original sign-up agreement. I feel entitled to a full refund.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/10) */ *************, Thank you so much for your feedback around our services and the ad that led you to us. We apologize your experience with us has been less than stellar and for any inconvenience this has caused. Your property manager requested signed documentation to release information to us, which is very common. We followed up with them multiple times to confirm whether or not this was received and also tried reaching you to remind you that they were waiting for you to pass on the consent form we provided, in order to complete your rent verification. Our refund policy and terms of use can be found here, https://www.rentreporters.com/terms-of-use/. If you would like to reinstate your account, we would be happy to provide 3 months of free service. We would so gladly reconnect with your landlord with your help, to have your rent reported. Please give us a call at ************ and let us know how we can help. -The RentReporters Team

I was told several times BEFORE I even signed up that I could cancel at any time and get a full refund if my score did not increase to MY satisfaction. One of the reason I choose the month to month option. I made several calls to their service center, BEFORE I signed up, as I wanted to be sure my money would be well spent. Seeing as I was told several times that i could cancel at anytime for a full refund, I gave your service a month to see if my score really will increase. It and it DID NOT! They said it was updated 7/27, but i WAS NEVER told so how could I possibly cancel the service if I had NO idea it was ever reported. There's only a 48 hour window to cancel once you receive the email that they have reported the rent information to the credit bureau. How would I even know when that 48 hour window would become effective. Their cancellation is impossible to comply with as your score is NOT updated within 48 hours. I want a full refund of $114.

On October 8th, 2021 I called Rent Reporters to inquire about the service I signed up for them to report my rent to my credit report and I was told they hadn't completed it yet because my landlord hadn't answered the phone. I initially signed up in September 2021, I paid *** to join and paid ***** for September and ***** October 2021, they took my money and didn't report to my credit nor did they call me to inform me of what was needed. I called them on October 8th 2021 to inquire about why nothing was reported to my credit, they gave me a bogus explanation about the landlord not answering the phone, I then proceeded to tell them that if she didn't answer by later that afternoon that I wanted to cancel my membership with them and that I wanted a refund for the lack of service they provided. I called back later that day, October 8, 2021, and requested to cancel my membership and requested a refund. They stated that they would put in a request for a refund but never did.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/13) */ *****, I'm very sorry you had this experience with us here at Rent Reporters. It's always important for us to ensure our customers feel valued. Here at Rent Reporters, one of our top priorities is providing accurate information and that we pursue the highest level of integrity. We are honored to work with major credit bureaus and all information must be accurate and verifiable. At sign-up, you listed a property management company that unfortunately, we were unable to verify. You also listed your personal email address on file as going to that same company you listed as your property management company. We have a 0 tolerance policy when it comes to fraud as we would be providing incorrect information. I also see that we reached out multiple times to allow you the opportunity to provide us accurate information so we could continue with getting you reported. Sadly, fraudulently listing inaccuracies is against our Terms of Use. Our Terms of Use would have been something that you agreed to when going through the sign-up process. We also were able to verify the individual listed on the title of your listed property but the number you provided us was to someone that was unable to verify their identity which leads us to believe it was additional fraudulent information. You are welcome to call us at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have any additional supporting documentation. It's always important for us to ensure our customers feel valued and that we address any concerns our customers may have. We apologize that your refund request was outside of the timeframe as listed in our Terms & Conditions. We also want to acknowledge that we see you reactivate your account 7/1/2021 and requested a refund and cancellation on 7/16/2021 which would be outside of our refund window. On 8/5/2021 I signed up online with rent reporters to get me rent payment reported. On 8/5/2021 I received an email for my signup along with a billing summary of $95.40 stating "not billed yet". Upon signing up I had to go through a verification process before my rent could report. The conflict arise when my landlord failed to provide what they wanted. On 8/13/2021 I notice on my credit card statement I was charged $95.40 & $94.95 from rent reporters. I contacted them in those regards and requested a refund. They refused my refund stating I had 48hrs AFTER my rent report to get a refund. I never received a contract for the services I was paying for or a receipt of the charges to dispute with my credit card company. In a world crisis as a consumer I was only trying to better my life for my children and they took nearly $200 from my family month with nothing promise delivered. I refused to recommend anyone to this company.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/18) */ Customer will be withdrawing his complaint. I followed up with Mr. ******** as we had no request on file at any point for a refund and only for a cancellation of services. I did explain that per our terms and conditions, "4.3. Refund Policy No refunds shall be provided except as provided in this paragraph. Once your rental history has been reported to a credit bureau and your credit score has been updated you are eligible for a refund. Once reported, if you are unsatisfied with the effect the reporting of your rental history has on your credit score you may request a refund. Such a request must be made within 48 hours from the time your rental history was reported. If the 48 hours falls outside a business day then such request must be made the next business day. There are no exceptions to this policy, for example you understand that this policy applies even if your rent was not reported to a credit bureau if such failure was not the fault of RentReporters including such instances where you failed to provide documents requested to verify your identity, providing false documents, or for the failure of your landlord to cooperate in your rent verification or in establishing their identity. For security purposes any request made under this paragraph must be made by telephone using the customer service number listed at ********************** We however were able to make an exception as a customer service and provide him a refund to his satisfaction.
