I purchased this robot and Miko 12 month bundle. I gave it to my niece as a Christmas present. The robot microphone does not work. Miko has not honored the warranty nor exchanged or refunded the defective item. This was a gift for a toddler that is upset about the broken toy. The company has been given photos and video showing the defective product and they continue to refuse or fail to correct this. Meanwhile they waste this time, my niece is in tears and the 12 month subscription dwindles down daily without ability to use the broken or defective product they provided. I am writing regarding a unauthorzed charge to my credit card from the company Miko AI for $99.99 on 1/26/2025. On November 23, 2023 I made the mistake of purchasing Miko 3: AI-Powered Smart bot for Kids | STEM ********************** Robot | Interactive Robot with Coding apps + Unlimited Games | Birthday Gift for ************ Aged 5-12. It was not what I thought it was I quickly regretted my purchase of the max subscription and cancelled it right away.. I thought all was fine however a few days ago my credit card was charged randomly for another Max subscription. I ordered a Miko Swap Chessboard on December 2nd 2024, order # RNC4027. Their website advertised that the order would arrive before Christmas. I emailed Miko and inquired to see if it would actually arrive before Christmas and they reassured me multiple times that it would arrive in time if I ordered the board. After a couple weeks of not being shipped, I again inquired by email to determine the status of the order to which they guaranteed it would arrive before Christmas. Skeptical, I waited another 48 hours before I decided to cancel the order. Miko said they would cancel it but never did and have yet to return my money (Jan 13th, 2025). I filed a chargeback with my bank after they failed to even ship the item before or after Christmas. They continued to lie about its delivery status until after the new year when they finally admitted it would possibly ship in February 2025. They have insisted I reverse the chargeback to allow them to refund my money but I refused todo so as they have been lying to me since I ordered the board and I do not trust their empty promises. This company is fraudulent and participates in dishonest practices in an effort to keep your money and sell products that they do not have.Business Response

I have yet to receive the chargeback with full understanding that it is up to my financial institution to do so however, I also have zero reason to believe anything "Miko Ai" customer service claims as they have yet to be forthcoming nor honest in any of the 40+ emails we exchanged since November. I had repeatedly asked for a refund and was mislead over and over again resulting in me issuing the chargeback with my bank. I have no reason to believe this moment to be any different given my personal experience with Miko Ai. I will wait for the money to be officially returned to my account before I will consider changing my decision.

I am rejecting this response because:As mentioned before, the money has yet to be returned to my account and until it is, Miko AI is not to be trusted as a business. This is the result and consequence of lying for months. You can't blatantly lie to people and hold their money hostage and then expect them to trust anything you have to say. You cannot behave this way and expect understanding. When the money is officially returned to my account, I will accept the response. Regardless of whether it is now my banks responsibility or not, this entire endeavor and waste of time could have been prevented simply by good and honest business practice on the behalf of Miko, they instead chose to be dishonest scam artists.

The Miko robot is not what they advertise it to be. They say and show that it does certain tasks. It does not. They say that it requires an update . When , its coming they are not sure. They make you purchase a subscription service that if you buy the year dont activate the robot they still charge you for it and say thats just the way that it is. I just dont think they are what they say they are. The product they offer doesnt do what they say it does. I think this company should maybe go back to the drawing board and get everything sorted out before they start selling a product especially one for children.Business Response

On December 21st I placed an order for a Miko 3 from the manufacturer website. I paid for next day shipping so I could get it earlier than Christmas Day. Once the 22nd of December rolled around I contacted Miko trying to figure out where my package was because I paid for next day shipping, which was $33. I received a call from someone at Miko stating that my package would arrive on the 24th or Christmas Day. I was content. Then the morning of the 23rd I saw that *** created a label, but has not received the package. I figured they would receive the package by end of day so I did not worry. The next day rolls around and *** is saying they still have not received the package. So I email the Miko team and ask for an update. Every time I ask for an update they tell me to wait ***** hrs for another response. So I asked for a refund fully and they just told me again to wait ANOTHER 48 hours. Im starting to believe that this company is a scam. I just want my refund so I can wipe my hands clean of this company. The customer service has been terrible and it isnt getting me anywhere.Business Response

On Nov 26, 2024 I placed an order for a ************************* chess board. There was a special promotion but all over the miko website it was promoted that all items would arrive before Christmas. Despite this promise and marketing on their website, the item has not yet shipped. Each time I reach out to support, they tell me they are working on it. Despite marketing on their website stating all items will arrive before Christmas, after repeated questioning they finally admitted this product is not expected to ship until February 2025. Now I am left without a Christmas gift for my child and I do not know if this product will ever even ship. This company is untrustworthy and is displaying false advertising to lure people into sales. I feel bad for other people who also purchased these as gifts that now won't be here before Christmas.Business Response
