It took 3 different electricians to finally correct the shoddy, unfinished and downright dangerous electrical installation of the new electrical panel by your first electrician who attempted to cover it up by completely plastering over all of the work. Per the project plan and City inspection requirements he was supposed to leave it open for the city inspector. He was obviously attempting to hide incomplete and dangerous wiring as uncovered by the subsequent electricians and HB City inspectors. It took 9 separate visits and three different electricians over several months to finally fix it and get approval from Huntington Beach City inspectors. The Sun Energy project started in September 2022. It was almost impossible to get responses or actions from anyone at this company. In the contract attached, is says IT IS AGAINST THE LAW to collect payment for work not completed. The WORK wasn’t completed until mid April 2023. Actual work, not PTO. Our Mosaic payments started in January 2023. The contract attached, as well as Masum Rahman our Sun Energy representative , gave us a PROJECT COMPLETION DATE OF November 30, 2022. This Sun Energy project started in September 2022. We are now in July 2023. Our compensation request from Sun Energy includes our January- June SCE bills and Mosaic payments. The total we are requesting is $1,801.29

I entered into contract with the company Oct 2022, the contract include solar panel and **** condensor and heater system. It took the company 7 months to finally have the panel up and got city approval. However, system is still not operating pending SCE PTO approval. Per contract, it is against the law to start collecting money before the system is working. The company sent a fake approval to the loan company and start collecting money from me since Feb 2023. Contacted them, they promised to refund me the amount I have paid, until now, June 2023, which has been 4 months, I have receive nothing from them. In addition, the **** system still hasn't been installed and again, they have already start charging me on the **** system since Feb 2023. I have finally decided to request cancellation of **** order, I requested an official cancellation plus refund of my money, again, their accounting department never gets back to me. The loan company start charging me the loan amound and interested since Feb 2023. SunEnergy should reimburse me for the time, money and interested the loan company charge me for the product and service I have not yet receive.

I am rejecting this response because: I have been informed accounting department will contact me since June 8, but until now, today is June 19, 2023, no one from the accounting department has contact me. Their accounting department is also supposed to contact me since Feb 27, 2023 regarding the refund of illegal advance charge of the solar system, but until now, they again has not contact me. I demand this to be resolved and refund me the money by the latest end of this June 2023 or I will have my lawyer to file a compliant for a lawsuit.

We had installed solar panels May 2022. They didn’t finish installing until months later although we were paying on the loan of about $60,000. They reimbursed us for 3 months. My electric bill is still high and my system is always “off grid”. When we went with a certain loan company Mosaic we were promised $ 1000 back. The check is always in the mail and now they have stopped taking our calls. Please help

I purchased a solar panel system from this company and was issued a warranty for the items and services. The company is not returning phone calls and has now stopped email correspondence with me. My solar system is not producing the amount of kilowatts promised and as a result after $40,000 in solar panels we are still receiving a significant bill annually. I have made several repeated attempts to remedy the problem with the company with no success in even getting an explanation after a month of repeated inquiries by phone and email.

We had our solar panels installed in November. Since the rains, the roof has started leaking in our son's room due to the installation of the solar panels. For the last 4 weeks I have tried to get a hold of this company through telephone and e-mail and there has been no response. I would like them to check out this problem and it is supposed to be covered under their warranty. The business' s website is still in operation and it generates an automatic e-mail. Sometimes I can leave a message and sometimes I can't. But I have not heard from anyone from this company. Do you think they are still in business? Did we get scammed? We paid $20,000 for solar panels from them.

It took Sun Energy 15 months to install solar panels on the roof of my house. IN the meantime, they activated the service contract before the installation was completed and I had to pay a year's worth for solar even though they were inoperable. They also put the debt on our credit reports before it was completed. Sun Energy did reimburse us for the monthly payments we made but since November 2022 I have yet to receive our last 2 monthly payments back. Sun Energy owes me $330.32 for November and December 2022 invoices. I was able to get in touch with the accounting department February 8th but they claimed they never received proof that we paid those months. After February 8th I have not been able to get a hold of anyone to find our where the remainder of our money is. This company SUCKS with poor customer service and the constant runaround.

July 2021, I entered into a solar home improvement contract with sun energy construction. Though slow, most of the job went well until we started seeing our project managers dissappear. We still had outstanding work (and still do) to complete our job. Our loan was for around 100,000. Most of the work has been completed, albeit at a slower pace than hoped for, but no big. Problem is, our windows still haven't been done. And I don't have contact with anyone it feels like. I've been trying to have a conversation with the CEO, ****** for about 6 months now - at his behest. I definitely still want windows...not sure if they can make it happen as I have been through three window contractors already. They all just disappeared. So I need resolution, I don't even know what yet as I just want to know that there is a warm body in their office with the ability to discuss my issue.

My contract with Sun Energy Solar (salesperson in Texas, ******* ******) had a completion date of July 28, 2022. I paid over 100K to Sun Energy Solar for ground mounted solar and ENPHASE batteries on my ranch. The owner/CEO of Sun Energy Solar is ****** *** *****, who is operating out of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Jersey Village, Texas. Sun Energy Solar has many complaints with California BBB. My solar project has not been connected and I have had no reduction in electric bills. Damage to property is extensive: irrigation lines cut twice, septic tank connections broken and left leaking for 3 months, phone line cut, electric lines cut, trenches left open for 8 months, grass destroyed, butane tank leaks. ***** Solar Inc., the contractor has not been paid. In a text message, on Nov 29, 2022, ****** *** ***** (owner's legal name) promised to call and discuss a settlement on December 22, 2022, at 1PM. That call that never happened. Many letters, photos of damage and even a fight among the crew that necessitated the Austin County Police being called (one crew member jailed) and still nothing has ever been resolved. Promises, promises and no working solar. My property is mess no damage has been repaired and I have never had any solar output.

Hello we are currently speaking with Mrs. **** lawyer so we can get her issues rectified at her property. We are very aware that there are things that need to be fixed that require our immediate attention.

      Customer response

      02/23/2023

I am rejecting this response because:  The damage is ongoing and the system has not worked at all.  Sun Energy has not paid the contractor that did the work and therefore there is little incentive for them to get the job finished.  Sun Energy's response: To say that I am confused is the biggest understatement of the year.  Mrs. ****, you have a balance with us for $47,462.50.  I have no idea why you are asking for a check from us, when you owe us far more than what you are claiming in damages.  Please help me understand this so that we can get on the same page.

The damage has not been totaled because the work has not been done.  Mr. ****** *** ***** has had some of the costs so far and he has not paid anything towards them.

      Electric bills from July forward.

      $14,000 in landscape repair.

Health department testing of septic tank leakage

      Electric lines cut

      Phone line cut.

      Irrigation cut 2X

IT person for an entire day trying to determine why batteries are not operating.

Butane line damaged and regulator replaced.

Butane tanks filled and then continued to leak. approximate cost $600 to fill tanks

      Septic tank connections repaired. $190.00

Because of the previous complaints about this company that are available on the California BBB website, I am concerned that Sun Energy will not fulfill their contractual obligations.  I have been stonewalled since December.

We have been told by the client to deal with her lawyer on how to proceed, which we have. If Ms.**** wants to proceed with communication with us we can schedule for a crew to get out there to get her solar up and running. I have a lead guy available to go out to her property tomorrow to go over the details on how to get this fixed if Ms.**** is available.

      Customer response

      03/09/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

Finally, my attorney received a telephone call from a representative of the Company on March 9, 2023.  Arrangements have been made to send another contractor to Sun Energy Company to my property next Thursday, March 16, 2023.  As a result of past very poor past performance and inability of several  prior contractors of theirs to get anything done, I am not optimistic as to whether this company will be able to promptly resolve the issues on my property.  But I am willing to give them another chance.  It is, however, my recommendation that you not close this Complaint.  I will communicate during the week of March 20 as to what, if anything, is happening.  Unfortunately, I continue to be very upset with the inability of this company to get this job finished or even live up to their promises.

We have every intention of fixing this situation with Ms.**** and understand her frustration through out this process. We have a team ready to go that will work tirelessly to get her solar up and running and rectify all the issues that have occurred.

      Customer response

      04/04/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

Sun Energy has done nothing substantial to remedy my solar installation problems.  As a matter of fact, I have incurred additional costs because the Generac generator that they wired to operate at my guesthouse was done improperly and not to code and the estimate to fix this is $10,000!   Below is the review I submitted to YELP.  I do have photographic evidence of this entire fiasco.

I have been dealing with Sun Energy since May 2022, when I signed a contract for a very large solar install on my ranch. The completion date was July 28, 2022. As of this date, March 23, 2023, the project is incomplete. I have had 3 different installers out (hired by Sun Energy) and each caused damage to my property and none of the were able to get the solar power operational. If it were not for the ENPHASE Battery Company technicians coming to the rescue and working tirelessly to rewire the entire system, I would still be without power. Enphase went way beyond what was their obligation in order to make my project viable. They sent a technician from Austin every day until the wiring was corrected....4 days of work, where three men stayed beyond 10PM to get the wiring corrected. Luckily, they took photos and are providing timesheets for the work they performed. The Sun Energy contract also included moving the wiring from a Generac generator in order to allow the generator to operate for a guest house. The San Bernard Electric Co-op shut the power to the generator because the work did not meet code, did not have the proper switches or the correct number of wires in the feed and the controller that was installed was not compatible with the Generac generator. I am waiting for some resolution to the on-going and continual problems from Sun Energy.

Despite Sun Energy’s response to you, they have done nothing that even slightly resembles a repair.  Without the work done from Enphase battery manufacturer, I would still be without power.   I spent 4 days without power and water while the Enphase technicians were rewiring the entire system.  In total, Enphase worked 168 hours over a total of 9 non-linear days to get the solar power operational.  They were not involved with the generator part of this project at all.   Sun Energy emails from their office manager in Houston, Dawn Hoover, always promise to get someone out.  That “someone" who is qualified to do the work on the generator has not been on my property and the electric company will not turn the power to the generator back on until the wiring, switches and controls are done to code.  I have personally had two separate companies quote the repairs and both estimates have come within three hundred dollars of each other.   This does not include the trenching damage and grass replacement — or the possibility that they will cut irrigation, phone and electric lines again as Sun Energy did in previously when they initially installed the solar array and batteries — see my first complaint to BBB.

      Business response

      Hello,

We are aware that this project hasn't went as smooth as we would like, but we still intend on getting this project done correctly if the customer allows us too. Once again I apologize for your customer experience with us, but please know we will not leave this project until it is 100% completed.

      Customer response

      04/12/2023

I am rejecting this response because:  once they hear that something is wrong or that damage was done, they disappear.  Big promises, no action.   Emails telling me they would be getting someone right out are useless because nobody shows up and there is no follow through.

      Business response

      04/17/2023

We have a technician who can fix Ms.****'s generator wiring. Does she want us to schedule the technician with her or her attorney? Please advise, thank you.

      Customer response

      04/21/2023

I am rejecting this response because:
As said in all previous responses Sun Energy Solar Company has done nothing to rectify anything.  I have paid to have generator rewired and the proper controllers installed.  They do not notify me or my attorney.  The solar still does not produce as promised.  It works only sporadically despite the efforts of the battery supplier.

On or before July 17, 2020 sun energy installed new roof and 39 solar panels through the whole house roof and the patio attached to the house on November or before 2022.
