My daughter was advised to come in, prompting her to drive 1.5 hours to the facility.Upon arrival, my daughter was required to wait for four hours without receiving any updates about her dogs status. She was informed that no neurologist was available to examine him and that she would need to return the following day.I arrived and went straight to the counter and paid the invoice. Assuming that services were provided within the for hour ******* we were leaving, with the dog already in the car, a nurse came out and informed us that the neurologist had a few minutes to see us. The neurologist briefly provided instructions not to feed him and to return the next morning for the **** These were the same instructions we had already received from the nurse. There was no formal consultation, no review of any results.Upon reviewing the bill with my daughter we discovered charges for services that were neither approved nor provided:X-rays of the dogs stomachnot his head which was the primary area of concern. The x-rays were unnecessary given that an MRI was scheduled for the following morning. No approval or informing my daughter about x-rays.Consultation: The bill included a charge for a consultation that did not take place. The brief instructions from the neurologist were redundant and in no way constituted a formal consultation.Registration fee: My daughter was told someone would see her dog, yet after waiting four hours, she was informed that no one was available to examine him.Since we were told to return the next morning for the **** I had to book a nearby hotel to monitor him overnight. This was an avoidable cost if we had been informed upfront that no neurologist was available to examine him.I have made several attempts to address these issues with the clinic. I have spoken with two different individuals from the Redwood City location, sent an email, and called the corporate office. Despite these efforts, I have not received any response to my inquiries.

On May 19, 2023 my cat ***** wasn't breathing very well, he was taking ***** breaths per minute therefore I have visited Sage Veterinary at 9 pm PST on May 19, 2023 at *****************************************************************, ** *****. The Vet ************************************ license #***** took my Cat to the back put him on oxygen, she met with me 1 hour 1/2 later and asked questions about *****, she took blood work and **rays and informed me his heart was slightly enlarged and a white film was in his lungs. I've asked her what is the white film, she stated she didn't know, and advised me it may be an infection. 4 hours later she gave me an antibiotic, Doxycycline Hyciate 100 mg to give my cat ***** and sent ** home. When I came home, ***** was breathing more rapidly around 80 breaths per minute, I called Sage nurse and Vet and informed me to stay home because ***** may just be anxious from the ride back home. The entire night into the morning of May 20, 2023 ***** was breathing 80 breaths per minute, I was very concerned and called another Vet in ******* who informed me to bring him in ASAP. I took ***** to ********** Veterinary Center-24 hour Emergency and the Vet took ***** in right away, the Vet called me in immediately after the **rays and tests and diagnosed ***** congestive heart failure and fluid in his lungs. The Vet informed me based on the extent of his condition she recommend euthanasia due to his suffering. Unfortunately, my husband and I decided to move forward to take ***** out of his misery. We miss him dearly. My complaint is directed to **** Veterinary and ************************************ who misdiagnosed my cat and sent him home regardless of his breathing condition. Also **** sent a bill of $1856.00; my husband and I will not pay Sage and the Vet who misdiagnosed my Cat and sending him home the same night regardless of his breathing condition. We would like to request a complaint against ************************************ license and not be responsible for paying $1856 for a misdiagnosis.

On 12/01/2022, I had a very horrifying experience during my visit at SAGE Veterinary Centers located in Dublin, **. This was my first time ever traveling to this location, and most definitely will be my last one. I drove 3 hours, for an appointment I had long waited three months for.I took my dog ***** to see Cardiologist Specialist ********************. After several lab tests, ******************** informed me that my dog was diagnosed with an uncommon severe heart failure disorder and her life expectancy will be negatively affected. At this moment I felt devastated. After ******************** left the room, a vet tech walked in with my dog in her hands, she handed her to me and walked out. Seconds later, I notice my dog is bleeding out from her neck. I walk out of the room to see no staff around, I had to wait approximately 5 minutes before I got their attention. They then took my dog to the back to clean her up. At this time I felt nauseous & my body became numb; I nearly fainted. I informed the vet tech about this which she then directed me to a water dispenser in the lobby.Minutes later, a second staff (*****) walks in to the room speaking Spanish and apologizing to me, assuming I spoke the language and with that, racially profiling me. I responded to her in English and asked about my dog. Moments later my dog was brought to me, cleaned and with a lump on her neck, which was normal according to them after lab procedures. I am very disappointed with the staff there. The staffs actions fell below the professional standards of care for my pet. This has been the most traumatic experience for both myself and my pet.
