If youre considering getting chickens from here, dont. They dont communicate well with you and by the time your chickens Get in your hands theyre probably gonna be dead, Lack of communication, lack of care for the animals and just overall horrible! If I was able to give zero stars, I would! Dont waste your money with this company!

Hi there,
We sent your chicks last week and for some reason **** accepted your chick shipment, transferred them to the sorting facility and then returned them to sender and marked a note stating returned due to bad weather conditions.
I created a free order for you and we are taking the hit for shipping but you are attacking us when we hatched and shipped you fresh happy baby chicks and **** accepted the package and then returned it to us due to weather conditions.
Again, free order created. We will email when they ship. We did our part and sent your chicks and we created a free order for you and will send you more.

I am extremely disappointed. I ordered 3 chicks from them for June. I reached out July and I completely understood that it was hot and the hens didn't lay...Finally last Monday, Sep 9, they arrived. All three dead!!I have a box opening video and picture.Since then I've sent them about 6 emails with the pictures attached. I reached out on their website 3 times. Out of desperation I tried their Instagram account this morning and now this.They have a live arrival guarantee, that is why I paid over $200 for 3 chicks.The least they can do is reply to my messages.Feather Lover Farms Response

Purchased 5 chicks last year for an extremely high price. I paid over $200 for these chicks. Feather Lover Farms did not indicate that they do not vaccinate for Mareks, nor did they offer a Mareks vaccination option like I see they do now. All 5 of my chicks died of Mareks. The Mareks disease these also wiped out some of my other flock members as well. I reached out to them and was told there was nothing they could do to help me. I think you are referring to a different company... We have an order from you that we sent you over 2 and a half years ago early 2022. You gave us a 5 star review. Our chicks we ship are happy and healthy the day they hatch in a sanitary biosecure room and do not have mareks. We have always offered ****** vaccination service with our chicks. Sounds like you are mistaking us for another company. We do not have any emails from you either stating this. The last email you sent us was 2 and a half years ago stating how happy you were with your birds from us...Review from josue J

Let me start by saying ill try to keep it short and simple ,i order indio gigante chicks from them ,waited to get info on shipment and it didn't happen,no big deal so i emailed them cause they have no phone number 1st (??),waited for a good week or more to get an answer back with them saying the birds where not laying do to heat and blablabla (??),so i kindly ask for a refund,they said you agreed that is you cancelled we refund only 50%back ??????,(??)i can understand if they have excess birds but they are having trouble keeping up, so i thought to myself im doing the next person a favor ,well i insisted i wanted a full refund that did not happened to make it short ,the order was shipped and received notification,so i said what the heck at least ill get the chicks cause i thought i got scammed ,but i go pick up the chicks to realize that out of the 6 i ordered to wich they said they would include extras via email so i didn't cancel ,wich i still said no but anyways,here we are i open the box and i received 5 that look like the real deal ??,we will find out,and 2 that are not even close ,so in resuming they still owe me a chick or a refund !!??. We are sorry you feel that way. Your review seems pretty misleading and untrue. Not only did we send your chicks on time in August, we sent you a free xtra chick in the shipment. You ordered 6 chicks for August. You kept asking when they would ship and we reminded you there are orders ahead of you and we ship every week in the order received. We reminded you of the 50% refund policy f you cancel your order. We sent your chicks August 21st. We sent you 1 free xtra chick in the shipment. Please let us know why you feel you were scammed. You were sent your chick order for August in "August" and we even sent you a free xtra chick. I am not sure what else we can do for you. Please do not order from us again.

Ordered Proto-Onagadori (phoenix) chicks a year ago. Gave up when I read the reviews. Just reminded them a month ago and they said theyd just expanded production and would ship as soon as possible. The replies sound reasonable but the wait times arent. Honestly I dont want a box of dead chicks. Unless the whole order arrives alive, I wont be ordering from them again.Feather Lover Farms Response

Chickens came in and are beautiful little chicks. I was nervous at first at not being communicated with quickly or receiving the order in what I thought was a timely manner. When I saw the reviews on the BBB I was worried about it not being a legitimate business.So I reached out to the owner but I was explained to kindly by the owner that they are dealing with live animals and that the hatching can be unpredictable and that sometimes it can be hard to answer emails in a timely manner due to resources. That made sense and because of that I did want to mention a positive ordering from their site.I was shipped our first batch of chickens that came in and I was given great advice on how to care for them. We are expecting the second half of our order this week. I would order and recommend ordering from this vendor again. I do know as well that it can be hard with hatchlings and shipping to know how they will travel or to plan for unexpected circumstances with shipping, which happened with us when the **** delayed our shipment unexpectedly.The last thing I would add is that I do get being nervous about planning for when the chicks will be arriving and wanting a date so you have everything ready or so that you are not out of town. I emailed Feather Lover Farms and they accommodated our vacation schedule.I think if you have time and this is a good vendor as they do deliver beautiful little chicks.Feather Lover Farms Response

Hoping they respond. So far questionable experience. 6 chicks arrived yesterday, however, one was delivered smooshed in the delivery box (picture sent to them) and another didnt make it not smooshed (pic sent also) and last a video of survivors. Granted hasnt been 24 hours since that email was sent, but still no response. I say this because upon receiving shipping notification a little over two weeks sooner than asked for ship date (we selected August ship date), we emailed to verify this was happening as we are out of state on vacation which is why we selected august. However, we read their disclaimer on shipments can vary. So we made arrangements and chicks were picked up less than a hour after reaching our post office. They still havent replied to that email, so it makes me wonder if theyll reply to this last one. This morning I received a video of two chicks that barely survived the night and do not appear that will survive the day. Mind you some of the surviving chicks had gue from the smooshed chic on the upon arrival. I sent video of questionable surviving chicks this morning. Im hoping they respond as I am wanting this to turn into a positive review.Feather Lover Farms Response

Hi there, We are very sorry for the late reply. We took care of this cusotmers and will be creating a free order and sending them more chicks soon. Temperatures were very hot lately and **** delayed the shipment which made it stressful on the chicks in this shipment. We are sorry to hear you had some losses. that is rare from our shipments. We emailed you asking for photos of losses and you will not reply. You also did chargeback and stole the entire payment from us when you were sent free xtra chicks in your shipment and claimed half of the chicks survived so you received live chicks from us and stole the entire payment from us. Please reply to our emails as we have emailed many times and you sound like you are just fine stealing full payment and keeping the chicks that survived.Review from Anna c

Hi ****,
You ordered baby chicks on March 20th for ***** ship month as they were sold out for March., You emailed us telling us to cancel the order on March 27th 7 days after placing your live chick order. we emailed you reminding you of the 50% refund policy on canceling your live chick order as baby chicks have to be sold before ethye hatch since they ship each week the day they hatch. You emailed us back saying yes and to send the 50% refund. We sent the 50% refund. You then did a credit card chargeback against us for the full amount. All hatcheries have a charge on canceling live chick orders right before they are supposed to ship. We are sorry you are upset our our policy. Again, most hatcheries charge a fee if you cancel the live chick order to help prevent cancellations so chicks ship- the day they hatch. It is for the chicks safety as thy do not need feed/water over 72 hours after hatching so the day they hatch is the safest day to ship them. You got your refund and did a full chargeback against us as well as this beautful review for us which is very misleading and untrue... We even offered to sed your chicks the same day you wanted to cancel as that was hatch and ship day and we had extra chicks and could have sen your chicks early. Your bank contacted us and asked us for our terms and conditions.

Another dead chicken. Not so good experience with this company. They send your extra "mystery" chicken as insurance incase any DOA. But the 2nd day my specialty chicken died. Here's #2 causalty another pricy specialty chicken.Emailed once prior to the actual purchase about turn around time frames. No Reponse.Emailed about the arrival of the mystery chickens and what they are? NO Response.Emailed about the 1st death, the next day after shipment. NO RESPONSE! Now another one is dead. Sexed my chicks. Out of 9 I got 2 hens.I DON'T RECOMMEND, No one responds. No one does anything about half DOA chicks. We are sorry for the issues. We emailed you and told you we will gladly replace your chicks if you had losses. You mailed us telling us you "Sexed your chicks at a week old" and got allot of males? We have been in the chick industry for 9 years + and can not "Sex our chicks at a week old like you claimed you did". We can't accurately *** them until a couple months old. Again. we emailed you and will replace your chicks that were losses and send extra. Please respond back. Thank you
