            My husband and I had put a deposit on a home began the loan process, within two week we unfortunately suffered hardship and were not going to be able to move forward with the purchase of the home. In addition to this, the documents requested by the underwriter we were not going to be able to provide, which would result in the loan not be granted. We then requested to cancel the transaction and it was assumed due to the loan issue we would be able to have our refund. We have yet to have the refund accepted, or refund issued this cancellation was requested on 8/22/22.

            End of July 2023 - contract to purchase and verbal assurance of earliest house completion date Dec 2023 - latest Feb **** with rate locked down only 3 months prior to closing.10/18 4pm - called and I formed that house walk through would be Nov 9 and final Nov 16 and escrows signing Nov 17. Inquired about no contact with loan officer since documents signing, verbally told not to worried because "they have weekly meeting with the loan originators."10/25 - emailed by loan originators of new loan rate and that he only new recently; in which he knew since the 10/23.Now I'm stuck with 2.5 rate higher then original rate which is over 800 dollars more monthly. Or if I back out, I would loose the 17k deposit. There is the offer to buy back points making it a benefit for me but in reality, I'm buying it using *********** and builder/lender incentives.My profession is nowhere near the housing profession and I guess it's always the buyers fault for not following up with the professionals that are suppose to keep you in the loop.
