We purchased 4 each, 3 inch whitewall tires for our 63 ****** They arrived defective, with numerous bubbles and dimples on the tires. We tried calling Calli Tires and they never answered their phone. Had to end up emailing them and the ***************** would only correspond by email. He said to send them back and he would try to fix them, but we did not want these tires, as they should have been perfect before being sent out. We returned them and he charged us for freight both ways and also a restocking fee. We researched the company and found that there are numerous complaints for poor quality on these tires. It seems that they are not making the tires as they claim on their website, but are gluing on the whitewall. This is not what we paid for. It clearly says on their website that the manufacture their own tires.

One tire had a post curing issue, we would have redone that tire and sent it back at our expense.  The other 3 tires we perfectly fine when we sent them that is why we charged them for the return shipping.  One of the 3 good tires was returned to us damaged (tire bead was damaged) and that tire can not be resold again. Customer was already refunded $174.40 more than they should have.

    25% restock x3 tires ($504) = $126
    $672 - 126 = $546
    $546 - $168 for one damage tire (bead damaged) = $378
    $378 - $70 return shipping = $308
    $308 + $23.87 sales tax refund = $331.87 refund due.

Customer was already refunded $504.27 on 2/19/202.

I am rejecting this response because: The pictures we provided clearly show the imperfections on the tires that were received. They should have never been shipped in this condition. Obviously, they do not have a quality control to inspect these tires before they leave the factory.

If you look at the constant comments from other people that have purchased these tires, they all comment on this same imperfection on the tires that they have received. Calli Tire has done nothing to remediate this constant problem that they have with the manufacturing of these whitewall tires. All they do is to offer to return and fix the tires and if you look at some of the customer comments, these tires that were returned and fixed and sent back to the customer, still continue to have this same problem.

Companies need to be held responsible for the quality of the products that they manufacture. The *** does not condone unfair and deceptive advertising in the sale of tires, especially since tires are an integral part of the safety system of a vehicle. Tires that are improperly manufactured can cause a risk factor to anyone driving a vehicle with these type of tires.

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced problems with your tires and I understand your frustration, but we have already provided a refund greater than what should have been provided.  We handle all maters on a case-by-case basis.  No additional action or response can be provided to this matter.

I am rejecting this response because: Calli Tire has a history of providing inferior tires. There are numerous complaints concerning this and yet, they continue to manufacture the same inferior tires and ship them to customers, not caring what they look like. Any legitimate business would have quality control to inspect the tires, or any other manufactured item, to make sure that the product they are manufacturing is fit for the end customer.

Bought white wall tires from Cali tire and wheel. After about 3 months the tires started turning brown from the edges. I cleaned and maintained the tires as instructed on there website. After I called to talk about the issue they told me to send them back and they would redo the white walls with a new material. I have had the new tires installed and driving for about 2 months. Just noticed today they were turning brown again. Called Cali wheel and tire this afternoon and was told there is nothing they can do. They are selling defective tires. I did a little more research and found out I wasnt the only one with tires turning brown and was told by other customers that they wont stand by there product. They are selling defective white wall tires. I Asked for a refund and was denied.

All of our tires are made with the stain blocker, but that is not full proof against ********/staining.  Sidewall oils will still ***** out from the tire into the whitewall and tires must be cleaned frequently to prevent ********.  Oils ***** out regardless if the car is driven or not, stored inside or outside.

    Cleaning
        Frequent cleaning is highly recommended.
Clean any stains as soon as possible.  The longer the stain sits; it can become more difficult to clean.
For cleaning use a good degreaser, like purple power, ZEP, super clean, etc.  Do not use any bleach products.
It is OK to use an abrasive pad with the cleaner, like 220 wet sandpaper, Scotchbrite pads or a pumice stone.

Any discoloration should just be on the top layer.  The oils in the sidewall of all tires are always leaching out.  Use the degreaser full strength with a stiff brush or 0-grade steel wool or pad.  100 to 220 grit wet sandpaper can be used if needed for stains that are hard to remove.

Customer has had the tires for almost a year.  Warranty doesn't cover staining or bleed through as we have no control over that, but we did warranty the tires anyways.  We already paid for shipping to get the tires back to get redone, we re-did all 4 tires and paid to ship them back to him.  ******** says he just now noticed the ********.  Any discoloration or bleed through would have been gradual and should have been cleaned to prevent this.

I am rejecting this response because: They are selling a defective product. I understand if it was a lack of care but this is not the case. Cali Tire and Wheel should be put out of business they are running a scam. After more research there are hundreds if not thousands of sets of tire out there with the same issues. This is not good business. I just want a refund as I still have brown whitewalls on my car.
