I have been served an invoice for refusing to sell my vehicle. I listed my Car in their website for sale. A buyer confirmed to buy my Car on 10th Feb. However no payment was made to me and I was told that he would be able to close on March 3rd. Only after closing the Buyer will pick my car, only after my Car is picked up Cars and Bids will make the payment. I communicated to the buyer that I would like to close it as soon as possible since I need to take delivery of another vehicle based on the sale proceeds. I did not hear from the buyer. Since it was getting delayed and I did not have the time to wait that long, I decided to communicate to the buyer and the website that I am proceeding to trade my car with a dealer.I am told that I cannot do that. I did not sign any contract with the website or with the buyer. Neither have a used any of their paid service. The website Terms and Agreement lists there is no fee for the seller to sell their car. Now I am served an invoice for refusing to sell them my car.Initial Complaint

Cars and bids marks vehicles that didnt sell as sold. My listing was never finalized yet their site shows that it did sell. Their performance numbers are inflated and inaccurate. Very unprofessional staff that refuses to take your information down. They can also lock you out and disable your log in to keep you from editing.Initial Complaint

I was bidding won the 2015 Mercedes S class and Cars and Bids charged $1,687.50 on Aug 19 2024. After bidding I met seller to see the car about 50 miles away and car was in bad shape, front two tire was not in good shape at all. ****** wears on both tires so I asked to seller he said it is normal for this car and later he said because he uses used tires since he purchased since year 2020. He offered new tires but i talk to the Mercedes Certified mechanic on same day afternoon told it could be suspension and steering wheel system problems which could be a major repairs. ****** also told me he never go to dealers for maintenance and his mechanic always mixes engine il with something that can prevent oil leaks. I could not proceed with purchasing the car after heard all these stories so I was dispute to the Cars And bids about seller misrepresenting but they just close my accounts and done nothing but taking $1,687.50 from me.Cars and bids listing has seller's known flaw section but this seller does not mention anything on it which is misrepresenting or scam. I tried to call Cars and bids but there is no phone numbers anywhere. I can not find anything to protect buyers from their website even feedback.Initial Complaint

On 4/5/24 i was the winning bidder on a vehicle. After over a week of communication with the seller to provide proof of ownership and completed title info so i could complete the sell with my lender . He backdated the sale date and filled in milage after he had already supposedly purchased the vehicle from a private party . The listing , carfax and documents do not reflect true statements . Thus Cars and bids allowed the seller to make false statements prior to and after auction . And still expected me to complete the purchase . The seller has committed fraud . I disputed the the auction fee of 4.5 percent of the winning bid . And Cars and bids will not return . $590.08 i have attached the documents that i was given at the beginning of the transaction on 4/8/24 Title reflects no purchase date or milage . But signed by original owner . It was not reassigned to the dealer that placed it on the auction site and they wouldnt provide proof of ownership so the lender would not fund the loan . Then on 4/1224 the title was backdated to 3/5/24 and the milage that was omitted was now filled in . Due to these discrepancies the bank would not provide funding.Initial Complaint

Please note that on febuary 21, ****************************** the form of an online auto auction by myself for a vehicle from a third party (cars and bids) a monetary charge of $1,023.75 (4.5%buyer fee) from the seller "Reedk" for the price of $22,750.00 (winning bid) after the transaction and following day it was to the attention of cars and bids that the seller "Reedk" was not prepared to complete the sell transaction by fact that the payoff to the bank or lender was in excess by a few thousand dollars which did not make business since after knowledge by paying the seller amount due or paying the lender directly and paying the remaining of the loan to the seller their would still be and outstanding amount owed so i contacted "cars and bids" and informed them of the situation and requested a refund, prior to accepting a vehicle for sale "cars and bids" gather all necessary information from the seller about their vehicle except what the ***** blue book value is worth and the seller's payoff amount left ? having this information would be greatly helpfull to the buyer should they win the final bid.Initial Complaint

*********** (C&B) is an auction site. I purchased a vehicle at auction and was charged a commission of 4.5% on Nov6. On Nov 11 i traveled 500 miles to ********* to inspect the vehicle. The seller refused to allow me to drive the vehicle. Instead the seller took me for a drive in the vehicle. The seller represented that the vehicle had just been serviced and was in perfect condition. I discovered otherwise. Vehicle dashboard lights were flickering and seat massage functions did not work in the ******** S560. The vehicle may have had other issues but without driving i could not determine that. The seller's comment was "well you are not a real buyer". I walked away from the deal and C&B refused to refund the $2925.00 they charged to my credit card. How can an auction company keep a commission for a transaction that did not go thru? If a seller misrepresented what was being sold and is dishonest i am not going to purchase the vehicle.Initial Complaint

Began the process to sell a car through Cars and Bids. Prior to accepting an auction start date, we informed them that we were no longer selling the car. We received a bill for $250 for their services rendered prior to our cancellation. I did not see any such fee listed in the description when I began the process of selling the car. This fee took me completely by surprise.
