My vehicle was parked in my designated space at my apartment complex. I am assigned space number seven. I came home from school on December 2, 2024 at approximately three in the afternoon. When I woke up on December 3, I found that my vehicle was no longer in my spot and my spot was empty. Assuming that it had been stolen I contacted the front office and they informed me that it might have been towed. I contacted the towing company and in fact they did have my vehicle. I asked why it had been towed and they said it had been parked in the wrong spot And someone called about it. When I asked if they had a picture, they said that they did. When I went to get my vehicle, I asked to see the picture but they refused to show me saying I could sue them in court. I paid the amount of $340. I asked the apartment complex for assistance in getting the picture, but they told me the tow company wouldnt send them the evidence either. I am a college student and dont have extra money to spend on these types of things, especially when I was parked in my designated spot that I pay $75 a month for. Additionally, my car has a tag that says it belongs to the complex. When I researched the company, there is numerous complaints about the same type of thing happening to other people.

This is regarding an illegal vehicle tow in my rented parking spot, with the vehicle being up to date with all building policies and rules per the parking garage. Not only was the circumstances to initiate this tow not justified whatsoever, but conditions of Vehicle Code Section ***** were not met either for actions required after the tow,. The code states, there needs to be written authorization from the property owner (in this case the apartment complex we live in), and the tow truck operator also has a legal obligation to immediately notify the registered and legal owners of the vehicle after the tow.Neither of these conditions were met in the case of this particular tow, which is why it is an illegal tow I should not be obligated to pay for. This tow occurred on 5/5/24 and due to the lack of notification the vehicle was not collected or paid until 5/10/24.For resolution, I am seeking a full refund of the $555 towing charge and an official apology from the towing company.I had been attempting to dispute this transaction with my credit card company for the past 7 months but have since realized this is the best option.I look forward to hearing from you regarding this complaint.

My car was towed from a handicap parking spot even though I have a valid disability placard. Called the local police station and was advised that if the handicap placard had fallen, I would be able to readily available to show proof of the disability placard without paying towing fees. The *** company refused to allow me to show the placard card which was visible in the passenger seat (had fallen off) without paying.

Company is hiding behind state law to illegally tow vehicles. My car was towed from my home (personal spot) and they cited authorization was received from the **** Contacted the *** and they stated we should pursue legal action as they didnt send any authorization or have anything on file for this tow. When requesting an unredacted or authorization form they stated they provided everything they legally had to and if I wanted more I had to go to civil court, despite the authorization they claim to have has already denied this.

Unlawful towing practices occurring at this business, including incorrect documentation (lack of authorization for towing), shady business dealings such as not disclosing set prices for towing fees, not contacting police department within lawful window following vehicle removal, exorbitant pricing (which I believe is likely to exceed the San *********************** towing cost which is the maximum amount a private towing company can legally charge. I was also charged a $70 "holding fee" despite arriving to the towing yard prior to the "towing process" even being completed.

RE: Western Towing Date of tow: 9/22/24 Invoice: ****** I am filing an official complaint against, Western Towing for unauthorized towing. At approx 9:30 pm on Sunday 9/22/24, my 2013 Nissan Rogue was moved from street parking to the lot at ******************. According to the invoice ****** by Western Towing, my car was first observed at 20:02 by Western Towing who was patrolling the lot. The manager, ******* ****** approached the truck and asked why the car was being towed. The driver stated no permit and illegally asked ******* to sign authorization to tow. According to the law. The car must be observed for at least 1 hour before the owner of the property can call to have the car towed. Not only was the car not in the lot for an hour. It was not observed by the manager, ******* ******. Western Towing illegally found the car while predatorily stalking the building and just happened upon the manager and told him why they were towing. He was asked to sign the release to remove the vehicle with no questions asked. We have spoken with the manager several times regarding this matter and he has stated that he did not call Western Towing to remove the vehicle. Upon retrieval of the Nissan Rogue at the Oceanside location of Western Towing, I was not given a photocopy of the written authorization signed. This violates California Vehicle Code section *****. See Written Authorization section on invoice ******. Every line states Redacted. Purposely withheld from customers. Please review attached invoice showing the times the vehicle was first observed and completed was less than 1 hr I have filed complaints with the Attorney General, reported to the Better Business Bureau, and the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Unit at the office of the City Attorney, **********I will be filing a claim in small claims court if not resolved by 10/17/24
