They prey pretty aggressively on people with middling but not terrible scores with really high interest rates - even before all the recent hikes. I ran into an issue - which was not LendingClub's problem, to be clear. However, when speaking with them to try and work out a solution to avoid filing bankruptcy, I was told they weren't willing to have any sort of discussions about my account including the payment, the outrageous interest rate, or the amortization schedule. Which is fully their right, but it does mean that in all likelihood we're looking at a bankruptcy filing that leaves them earning zero interest rather than just less than they originally expected.Genuinely terrible customer service, and really dismissive representatives. I would think long and hard about how badly you need anything before dealing with these guys.

Lending Club has been top notch in my book for helping with loan applications and distribution of funds directly into my account in a timely manner. **************** is a strongpoint in a world where it had seemingly disappeared. Lending club as been an amazing and professional. I have been able to pay off my high interest credit cards. I was able to do some home improvements. I have a monthly payment that fits my budget. I will definitely use lending club for other projects.

Went to apply for a loan and made a mistake when typing, so I followed the steps outlined on the website and called. The lady on the phone said that since the loan hadn't been processed, it couldn't be canceled. So I asked if I could edit it; she said it couldn't be edited since it had been processed. So it was both processed and not processed, and the company can't actually do anything to help like it claims on their website. The only way to correct the issue was apparently by making a 2nd account with a different email and reapplying. Which doesn't actually solve the issue at all. After about 20 minutes of discussing the ***********'s Processing of the loan and trying to figure out how this bizarre system worked, I made the mistake of mentioning that I'd be writing about the strange system in an article (I had meant review and used the wrong term in my exhaustion). THAT set their customer service off. Immediately I heard the lady on the phone speaking with someone in the background for a few moments. When I tried asking if they really couldn't help me, they hung up. First time I've ever had any customer service place hang up on me.

If I could leave 0 stars I would I am currently being scammed and discriminated by this company they have not paid $3000 they were supposed to one of my creditors and have been giving me the run around for almost 2 months and every time I call them they say they are waiting for updates. I have requested multiple times for the money to go into my personal account so atleast I can pay off that creditor but they wont do it. The supervisor seems to always be busy as say they will call back and never do. I have been on time with every payment and I am getting treated very very poorly.
