Credit Karma offered a link to check my lending power, which took me to a form to fill out to get a free lending power with no impact on my credit score and required filling out done basic details. It DID NOT say I was signing up for a NerdWallet account or to be on their email list. I have tried using their unsubscribe button in their emails, but it does nothing other than take you to a page to apply for loans. Help articles tell you to sign into your account and go to the menu, then your account, then you can unsubscribe or delete the account. I have tried to reset password, as I did not sign up, but no password reset email arrives. Please remove my email from your email lists, remove my details from your database, do not send me any more communications of any kind, and do not sell any of my personal details or account details. While this process may be legit by the tiniest of details, this kind of bait-and-switch and manipulative deception should be illegaland it has obviously been going on for over 3 years in the same fashion from the complaints. It seems obvious this is the only way to get NerdWallet to remove your email from their unwanted email list that was never intentionally signed up for. Its also obvious BBB does not care and will maintain the A+ rating as long as NerdWallet pays their fees and replies that the account has been removedthe root deception and manipulation is neither punished nor rectified.

I went to Nerdwallet's website looking for a loan. And in following their links of lenders, I was sent to another site that wasn't a lender and that sent me on a cycle without ever getting to a lender at all. Worst of all, not I am getting up to 15 texts a day, many phone calls, and emails all claiming to be lenders but they are not. They are scammed trying to rip me off. Asking me to go get prepaid cards and read them the numbers for down-payments. I thought that following the links they provided I would be safe but I am getting ovrrloaded with spammers.

The company Nerd Wallet makes it impossible to unsubscribe from there unsolicited emails which I receive daily. They do have an unsubscribe link which does nothing more than bring you to a log-in screen asking for how they can help you with a loan. This screen has no place to unsubscribe.Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

In my opinion, opt-out links should only go to an opt-out page. To do otherwise, suggests deceptive business practices.

I somehow got signed up for emails when I didn't sign myself up. When I click "unsubscribe" on their e-mail, there is no option to unsubscribe on the page that comes up, so I am still constantly getting e-mails.

I keep receiving emails from Nerd Wallet. I never signed up for them. I click on the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of their message but it just takes me to another page that has their various offerings for loans....it appears that they will not allow me to unsubscribe unless I create an account with them first! I want them to stop contacting me immediately!

NerdWallet has essentially made it impossible to opt out of emails, has thanked me for joining NerdWallet when attempting to unsubscribe, and makes it impossible to see who the affiliate links are to unsubscribe to those. I do not want them to have my information, to contact me, to sell my information, or have any further interaction with me. This is harassment.

I keep getting emails from Nerdwallet about "my account" and extending loan offers. I never intentionally signed up for an account and perhaps it was via a sneaky link. I cannot get through to the "company." I want to delete my "account" and unsubscribe from getting emails.

I just signed on to check emails and received a message thanking me for signing up...apparently the same complaint was filed by another user who did not realize they too had signed up. I do not want their service or app and certainly feel alarmed that the company's explanation to the other compliant deflects responsibility solely on the the party who is unexpectedly signed up. Please explain to me how I too have been signed up by taking some obscure link or option. Again I did not intentionally opt to sign up. PLEASE help me in getting removed from this app or whatever it is.

I am rejecting this response because:  First, I want to just get past this issue but before I go I want to point out that they inadvertently admit that they mask this 'signing up' as button saying, 'continue with ******'.  VERY sneaky indeed!  At no point did they say that by continuing using ****** you are creating an account; you will receive an email requesting that you complete the process by creating a password.  I appreciate that they are removing me from the emails, however, it is my opinion that in fact know this is misleading.  Again, thank you for removing me from the emails.  As far as I am concerned the issue is resolved.

      Sincerely,
