      My identity was stolen and then my account was hacked and I filed a dispute and supplied the police report. I was told Id have update by April 8th to my claim. Here it is over 120 days and no response. I call and follow up and ** told by the dispute team that Ill get email within 1 business day and still nothing. *** called on this issue probably a good 50 times and been told this same script and Im getting no where with it. I need help this is a lot of money that was taken out of my account without my permission.

      I got an email for a Varo account I never opened, associated with my current work phone number, which I never use, and I am trying to log in to an account I never opened, so I don't know the password. When I try to reset it, I'm sent an email saying that a code has been sent to a phone number with the last 4 digits that I'm not associated with. I can't call and talk to somebody. I don't have an app for a product and service that I never signed up for so I can't chat with customer service.When I call the customer service number on their website, and press an option for updating my phone number or help with account access, it asks me to put in my digit social number - ummmm, no. Not doing that! Then when I don't do that, there is a message to contact customer support at the email address provided so I do that. And I then get an email back saying that email address is no longer in service. What kind of scam company is this?!

      If I could give a negative rating I would..I've NEVER been negative and my account has always been in good standing .out of nowhere they froze my account and locked me out of it for a "review" and said they would email me within 4 days..it took me calling and threatening to get a lawyer and filing a case against them to get my account unlocked..and still be reasoning from them why..would not recommend **** to my worst enemy

      I switched my online deposit accounts to **** in hope that I could rely on their advertised incentives. Now mind you Ive had several online depoist bank accounts for my direct deposit from my employer. Each one of those deposit accounts has always honored the get paid two days early from payday. This is only my second month getting direct deposits from this bank but as *** previously said Ive always gotten my paycheck two days early from the other online deposit bank accounts. They disclose (just like my previous online deposit bank accounts) that they release the money when they receive it. I know my employer always sends out direct deposit information three days prior to payday. *** never had an issue receiving those previous direct deposits two days early from the other banks that have stated and advertised the same thing. This is now my second direct deposit from **** that I have not received my direct deposit two days early. It be never had this issue with my past online deposit bank accounts, just Varo. This is clearly false advertisement and I do not appreciate being lied to by a company Im depositing my hard earned money into every month.

      I have been suspended from my Varo account and have been given no reason as to why. I need access to my money as I have a medical emergency that I took off work for but I cannot pay the copay to be seen!! I do not want to lose my job but **** will not let me get access to my money!!

      After having an account with **** for only 2 months, someone hacked into my banking app and sent themselves $400 from my account. It's obviously fraud and an unauthorized transaction because my husband and I are the only ones that send money to each other back and forth thru the app. I have no idea who the person is and didn't have any record of ever sending them money. I hope varo can make this right and get a better security system as well. It seems like a lot of people have had this issue recently losing hundreds of dollars. I have bills to pay and kids to feed this is absolutely c*** for them to allow this. And then to possibly not be getting this money back for 10 days or more. It's a pretty cut and dry fraud case. I hope this resolves soon.

      I have been with varo a very long time.since recently they have shown irresponsible behavior towards me as a customer. Someone hacked into my account and too my Ssi direct deposit in the amount 993.00.I immediately call them, did a dispute claim, and file a police report, did everything I needed to do to get my money back. How they were able to do a atm transaction in ************** really bothers me. They decline me.So I submitted supporting documents to show were I was at the time the transaction was done. They have shown me no compassion at all. I was affected by both hurricane in ******* *****. I needed my money.I call them several times pleading to refund my account.They shown me they don't care. I really hope one days these prepaid bank accounts will be held accountable for their action. I will never trust **** again with my money..

      I received something saying my Varo account was locked. I do not have a Varo account. I tried to contact a Varo customer service representative. No matter what I did . I was basically asked to email my personal information to them. Then they would get back to me. That's ridiculous . I am not emailing anyone any personal information such as my social security number etc. without knowing who I'm or what I'm dealing with in the first place. No matter how I tried to speak to a live person. I could not not without first entering my social security number sounded like a scam. Looks like a scam. Feels like a scam.

      **** allowed somebody to open not one but 2 accounts in my name despite me placing a fraud alert with the major credit reporting bureaus due to previous fraudulent attempts to open bank accounts with my identity. They admitted they do not check credit before opening accounts - ie they don't go basic due diligence to even attempt to verify somebody is who they say they are. This tells me all I need to know about this "business" - they are in no way an entity I would even begin to trust with my money.

      If youre looking for an easy place to store your money this could be an option, but if you are looking to actually have access to your money this is definitely not the place.It's enticing with its higher interest rates and early direct deposit which initially **** me in. However, when it came time to withdraw my money they put a ton of artificial limits. Really the only services Varo has are receiving deposits and doing debit card transactions. They dont offer cashiers checks, wires, or really any way to withdraw money outside of Venmo. Debit cards only allow you to withdraw $2000 per day from an ATM and then only $7500 per month so if you have more youre out of luck.You can do ACH withdrawals from outside institutions like Venmo or other linked banks but usually those limits are pretty low like I found out in my case, and they are very delayed so you cant expect to withdraw money unless you give it about a week.Customer service isnt helpful. When contacting them about my needs, they didnt have a phone number to call, just the in-app chat. I spoke with several people on multiple occasions regarding my issue of withdrawing money and they all just sent the same canned response. When I asked for suggestions for my circumstances they just shrugged and ended the chat.When I asked if by closing my account they would send my money as a cashiers check or send it to my other bank, they said they were unable to unless I emptied out my account. So not only are you unable to withdraw your money, but they force you to stay with them because they have your money.If youre needing a place to just leave your money and not touch it, it gets the job done but only in the most barebones way. But good luck getting your money out of their vice grip once youve given it to them. Just to be clear, Im not closing my account yet but Im at the point where Im seriously considering it, if I can have easy access to my money now when will I be able to? Do better Varo.
