We received a gift card from giftrocket for $25 from a friend for Christmas 2024. Upon trying to redeem it over the last few days, firstly we noticed that they have shut down but state they will honor all redemptions indefinitely into the future. We placed our gift code into their website at ********************************************************* and it returns an error saying it is invalid and to enter the 9 digit gift code. Unfortunately, what came printed on the gift card is a 12 digit gift code. An email to their ********************************** has gone unanswered.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: While the email to ********************************** was sent from a different email address then the one that the complaint was filed under, it was never responded to. I have forwarded the original email under the email address that ***** *******, director of support was searching so they have it under the email they searched as listed in their response. It doesn't change the fact of the original issue that the code is invalid because the website is asking for a 9 digit gift code and the one on the printed card attached is 12 digits long and is not redeemable. I still need to either make the gift card valid or send me the $25 it was purchased for.

My dad purchased a gift card for me for Christmas from this company, Gift Rocket. . I went to redeem it, and was told it was successful and I chose to have it sent to my Venmo account. I received a confirmation that said it would be sent that day. Several hours later, it still had not been sent. I was getting concerned, because I looked up reviews on that company and saw several complaints of people not getting their money recently. I also saw on the companys website that they were no longer selling gift cards but were still honoring them. I received an email later on the same day stating that the gift had been cancelled with no explanation. I contacted my dad that purchased the card and he said he was going to look into it further and file a dispute with his credit card company if he didnt get refunded. This is ridiculous and this company is taking money from people with no explanation as to why.Business Response

I purchased a gift card of $100 under a sister company of this one (GiftRocket) on 12/22/24. Now that website that **** **** owns states they've closed there business as of 1/1/25 and we have not been able to redeem the giftcard money!! I received a gift card through Gift Rocket this December and when I went to redeem it as a Venmo transfer online at **************************, per the instructions, I was never sent the money to my Venmo account. I never received an email or a text either, even after entering my information. I want to make sure the gifter did not lose out on their money they spent on this.Business Response

Giftrocket (**************************) is scheduled to close for business permanently as of Jan 1st 2025. Purchased a gift card electronically on Dec 28th and they did not notify me at the time they will no longer be in business. Shifted the money to ****** as an option since the vendor was not accepting their electronic gift card. Received an email stating the money would transfer. 48 hours later and the money is not there. Nobody is in the office handling phone calls anymore and they are not responding to emails.Business Response

I had purchased a gift card from gift rocket on November 26. I immediately canceled it within 48 hours. I have an email from the company telling me that the card was successfully canceled and that I would be reimbursed within 7 to 10 days as of today, December 23, 2024 we have not received a refund. We have been trying to contact the company via email and phone to no avail. The cost of the card was $150 plus they charged us a fee of $9.50 representing a service fee now we are out of this money and the gift card was canceled by them since they were going to give us back our money Our order number is UVTXMSC one JAKDZ5Y3KKOC. My husbands grandmother ************************* purchased a gift card for him and I as a gift for our wedding. The printout gift card that was given to us says it must be redeemed online at giftrocket.com/gift and to enter the code on the paper. I did that and chose to redeem the $75 via Venmo transfer. I entered my email and phone number for my Venmo account and the next **** said that the transaction would be completed immediately and that I would get a confirmation email. I still havent gotten an email confirmation or anything transferred to my Venmo account. Im worried that this business has scammed my grandmother-in-law.Business Response

Our daughter purchased 4/23 this for us as a Christmas gift and my husband and I tried to use the gift rocket gift this past weekend and the venue that we were at, that my daughter purchased to use it at, well they are not affiliated with gift rocket whatsoever. Im sure that they have reached out to gift rocket as well as they said that they were going to because when their head management went to purchase a card, found that they would have been able to as well. AmeriStar is not affiliated with this company whatsoever. This was a $150 purchase with $9.50 added fee and I would like either myself or my daughter to get their money back for this. I have proof of purchase as well as the account tracking number! Giftrocket left a voicemail for me and gave me a fake number that was actually a real estate company that had been in business for 46 years and knew nothing about this gift rocket.
