There is a post about ******************* on Nextdoor ************** made by **************** on 6/28/23 about a theft. *****'s address is posted on the post. I reported it and the moderators took it down stating it does not violate any policies. I also reported ****. We have no idea that **** is telling the truth, ***** is innocent until being found guilty. The moderators in the comments say it violated the policy. I have attached the comments.Business Response

Nextdoor keeps closing my account because I am reporting individuals who violate their policies, but whose politics they agree with. Nextdoor pretends I have violated their policies in order to suspend my account, thereby allowing their favored politics, despite the fact that these posts violate their own policies, to remain on their site. I want Nextdoor to take an unbiased, politically neutral approach to enforcing their own policies, and stop engaging in selective enforcement based on politics.Business Response

Whether or not content is a violation of your guidelines is a matter of opinion, not fact. I reported content that I genuinely felt violated their own stated guidelines. They simply disagreed, due to political reasons.
Nowhere in their guidelines does it state a user may be suspended for reporting content that does not violate their guidelines, only that a user can be suspended for "retaliatory reporting", which I have not done, and which the business has never shown me to have done.
Therefore, the business is violating their own terms of service by suspending me for specious reasons.

3) The article they reference has no bearing on my case. It states,

(Note, it reads that moderators may "choose" to moderate this content.)
"Please do not: Engage in retaliatory reporting. Inappropriate reporting is a violation of our Community Guidelines."
(Note, it does not define what is "inappropriate reporting...", so there is no way for anyone to know. However, "inappropriate reporting" follows immediately after "retaliatory reporting", which leads one to believe they may be one and the same.
4) I have not engaged in retaliatory reporting or inappropriate reporting, as listed under Nextdoor's own terms of service. Nobody at Nextdoor has shown any evidence at all that I have.
5) Ironically, those who reported me for "inappropriate reporting" are themselves engaged in "retaliatory reporting", but suffer no consequences, since they share the far-left politics of Nextdoor's moderation team.

There is a woman who had been a Lead who had started a group that was against our HOA. Within her posts she constantly called out board members and over posted (same content daily). I had expressed my feelings that she shouldnt be talking about people (public shaming), therefore she sent me a threatening message and in result had her lead status revoked.She continues to over post, call board members out by name and public shame our HOA. I reported her post and in result I have been suspended for reporting her. Nextdoor has emailed me multiple times saying what shes doing isnt against guidelines. This creates chaos within our neighborhood and for some reason Nextdoor continues to allow it. I asked Nextdoor for proof of the posts that they said I reported for no reason, they sent me an example of this woman public shaming our HOA?! Nextdoor doesnt review complaints thoroughly, its given a general response and closed. This could have been solved easily by moderating this constant flow of negative/public shaming posts, but instead they suspended me and told me when I get my account back I can mute her. My account was suspended because they said I use a false name. I have so many items I am trying to sell to make my ends meet and yes, I did use a false name because I have a ******* and so I am being safe. If you want to get a hold of, the company that Im going through to protect me I will give you the credentials. Although I think this is absolutely unsatisfactory! They say that its really easy to get in touch with the company although no, it is not! You try to get a hold of them and youre ignored nothing is answered or you get rejected from the page that youre trying to get in touch with. I feel in my opinion this company in my opinion, and hearing from others they just pick and choose who to flick off of the app and they dont care. They are not willing to get in touch or reach out to people when theyre experiencing an issue with them to fix it! Breaks my heart it really does unfortunate company. I see so many scammers on Nextdoor asking for money all the time all the time all the time do they ever get kicked off oh I am sure not because theyre still on there but when somebody wants to change your name because they have someone stalking them, they take everything off of your account and disable you without any reason and you cant get a hold of them to talk with them. Restoring my account Please, the moderator in my area has wrongfully temporarily deactivated my account, her name is ******************* I had posted a positive affirmation and she took it down .... anything I post that's positive telling Neighbors Good morning she. Takes it down then lie and say it's against rules or discrimination. This woman also has gone under my post and say things like I'm Irrelevant. and she Bully me, and she is the person holding the key basically to my page. I feel she is discriminating against me because I'm African American. I'm extremely popular and all the seniors and neighbors love me and my post. I have thousands of posts that this Next-door worker has deleted . Everything i worked hard for and my badges she only picks on The African American Women I feel she should not be in charge of my area because she does nothing to support only to Bully. I want my account turned back on with my content. My community counts on my daily positive posts and encouragement I Though next door cared about people ? This woman has been making up things and deleting my content for over a month or so. I have seen her and others AKA Her friends making fun of people on the sight. I would like my information and account deleted. I used to use this app alot and felt it was very beneficial in knowing info of my neighborhood, but I keep having my posts banned and flagged for literally no reason, and I've had enough. I've seen people go back and forth with each other about politics, but yet I can't make a post about a crime I witnessed at a local store. Makes sense. I want my account and personal information removed, and customer service emailed me saying they can't remove my information because my account is disabled. For accounts that have been previously suspended, we hold their accounts for one year before removal. This makes sure they don't delete their account and immediately come right back. I am writing to complain about Nextdoor and Leads not following Guidelines. For ************ Guidelines state that items for sale and / or free must be posted in the *************** category, yet Leads, who are volunteers, vote to keep these items in the ************ Feed. When contacting support, they also remain in the ************ Feed for days which indicates to that it is okay to post these items anywhere and therefore continue to be cluttering up the News Feed. It is a vicious circle. Sometimes they are not even removed by Support. Guideline: Not Allowed: Attacking, berating, bullying, belittling, insulting, harassing, threatening, trolling, or swearing at others or their views even. There are numerous posts of name calling, bullying, harassing, threatening, and swearing. When reported the Leads vote to keep. Again not following the Guidelines. When sent to Support, these posts continue to remain, are not removed. If and when they are removed by Support, they stay up for days sometimes a week or more before they are removed. These posts MUST be taken down immediately. Allowing these posts to remain only enforces that it is okay to bullying / abuse/ threaten etc and continues to harm the targeted individual for longer than necessary. Guideline: Not Allowed: Threatening someone and/or their pet's, safety, Posting comments that encourage violence against others, But yet when these have been reported, they were voted not to remove by Leads. Sent to Support, and so far, after 3 days those comments still remain. Again, these types of posts/comments MUST be removed immediately for safety reasons. After sending an email to Support for posts that were reported and not removed, I was informed by Support, to report the Lead for voting improperly However, I am not a Lead and do not have access on how a Lead voted or who voted. So how am I or anyone else supposed to report them? Cant even find who the Leads are.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The documents I submitted show the violations of the Guidelines. A few have been removed, the majority have not. Some are threatening, offensive. Some, continue to violate the Guidelines. Please review the attached documents which gives the link to the original post, and the link to the author of the comment or post. This is the information required by Nextdoor. Nextdoor has the ability to review each member's post / comment. Some of the threatening and offensive comments have been up for weeks and can be humiliating / threatening / insulting etc to the person it is directed to. Again, please review the attached documents.Continued reporting to Support is uneventful. Nothing happens. Many Leads / Moderators votes are biased. These Leads / Moderators need to be removed permanently. They are volunteers so don't appear to really care what happens.

I am rejecting this response because: Nextdoor has the ability to copy and paste the URL(s), so just because they cannot access from the BBB is no excuse. I have contacted Support on numerous occasions to no avail. Today, I have noticed that the complaints on abuse have been removed. However, there are still items violating the guidelines that I have reported several times and are still listed. These include the For Sale and Free items which are spamming the General Feed and should be listed in the For Sale and Free category. I will continue to report to Support. If violations of the Guidelines continue and are not removed, I will file another complaint with the BBB.
Nextdoor needs to be more proactive in monitoring their site and find ways to immediately remove abusive, biased, harassing, humiliating behavior. By not removing abusive behavior / comments immediately, Nextdoor is acknowledging that they approve of this type of behavior from its community.

First event that happened was when the Registered Federal, ************* Interpreters all sent me a PM (Private Message) about a woman named (her real name is ************************************, but she uses her "stage" name and NOT her real name which is a violation of Next Door's Policy itself - she posts as *****************).********** was derailing validated *** Interpreters, so they contacted me to find out if she was indeed a validated registered interpreter. I couldn't find her, I had to do research and found out her real first name was **********, and her maiden last name was *******. Nope, she was not registered anywhere. So I did more research and found out her married last name is *****. Did more research, and she doesn't exist anywhere on the *** Interpreter Registry. I contacted several Major Directors Federal and State, all 9 Directors weren't able to locate her anywhere.So I posted a question: "Where are you registered as an Interpreter?". She blew up and fired off PM to me with threats. But yet, I got a 1 day suspension? Because her comment also included the *** College, I contacted the College, and basically she lied.Then I responded to a woman who was implying it was illegal to tether a dog, I posted the comment it was NOT illegal. AND HER HUSBAND fired off a threat to me and POSTED IN NEXT DOOR that I had verbally assaulted his wife and they had video to prove it. I requested that he post the video. Because I am Federally Protected, I also contacted the ***************** they were watching this post very clearly. B) Next door has a policy that INDIVIDUALS must use their real name - they are permitting a woman to go by ********* and it's not her real name.
C) They suspended me for 5 days because "I" was threatened by her husband *********** He was the one who blasted me about being "blocked" (I am not blocked) and I was merely responding to a neighbor's post that "IT IS NOT (still is not) ILLEGAL TO TETHER YOUR DOG OUTSIDE." ************************* confirmed my post was validated).D) Yes, I had submitted NUMEROUS complaints and reports about a member violating their policy. Provision of an alias (not their real name). I got SUSPENDED FOR THAT TOO - from *** (*** and ****'s Lead) "OVER-REPORTING".
E) Next Door is BIAS, DISCRIMINATES, AND PERMITS BULLIES TO EXIST and keep their accounts on NEXT DOOR. While all the victims gets "banned or suspended".F) EVEN TO THIS DATE, NEXT DOOR REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT "PROBLEM EXISTS". They permit a known mentally ill couple to remain on their site while suspending the victims off!
