I have been trying to stop my susbcritption to Patreon since last August. Every time I provide the information they request, they either say is invalid or ask for new information. I believe they are trying to prolong this so they can continue to charge each month.Business Response

HI, I wasn't able to send to you the chain of emails throughout this portal. I sent it via email with the case number. This has been going on for so long and their tactic is to switch the customer service representative and start all over again. I have submitted all the information I have. I shared with them in several occasions that I no longer have the email or IP address that I use to set up the Patron account because it was a work-related email. I have sent everything else they ask for.
It has been my experience that they just expect you to give up and let it go. There is not a true desire to solve the issue, just to give me the run around. They don't have a customer service phone so it makes it more challenging for me to have to write everyday.
I will try again to send the email chain to the BBB, so you can better see what my experience has been.

Patreon is a rip off! I am being charged every month for a membership and can't access what I am subscribed to. I have tried to cancel my membership by following their VERY confusing and convoluted instructions which has amounted to no help at all. Ive had a Patreon account being charged for a suspended creator. So basically for the past 37 months they have been taking money I thought was cancelled. *** tried to contact the creator and received no response. Ive contacted Patreon and was brushed away with a $200. This is not okay. Who was getting money for nothing? They suspended and cancelled financial transactions and then restarted them without my knowledge . I am not a rich human living in ********************. In the past 3 years my sister has almost died do to Liver transplant, *** had a surgery, my grandmother passed away, my son was bullied out of school, my husband was out of work because of writers strike, my mom was been diagnosed with dementia and in December my husband had open heart surgery. I signed up for fly fitness said it was a 7 day trial no charge. Instructor was great however too fast paced for me. So I cancelled on the 6 day after attempting to reach out to patreon fly fitness told me they had nothing to do with payments to contact patreon. Patreon has no phone number listed so I sent an email on Monday. before my trial end. The next day I had pending charges after I cancelled in time. Patreon has been charging my ********** $3/month for an unknown reason. I have reached out and they claim to be "unable" to locate why they are charging me. I am rejecting this response because: Far from "actively working with me," I have yet to hear back after providing the requested information and have had to contest yet another month with the card issuer. In addition, it should be noted that I provided the credit reference number for the transaction on October 4. Patreon has been aware that the charge is unauthorized for three months, but has been unable or unwilling to stop it. How hard is it for a company, when given the complete card number, to stop charging it?

After taking my money for a month membership to a Patreon creator page within a few days my access was forfeited for a reason I nor anyone from Patreon can understand. Over the course of months, I tried to get money back from the money that they had taken from me because I didnt actually get what I paid for. I asked for a supervisor five or six times and was never given one and eventually they just stopped responding. They took my money, and they never provided me the services that I was promised and then they just completely abandoned the case and stop responding despite me having to talk to multiple different people over the course of literally months . They went weeks on end without even getting back to me. I contacted Patreon support to update my email to a new address *********************** 10 days ago. On 12/12/2023 I received notification on my bank account that I purchased a product for $96.16 on Patreon. I have never used this service before and was suspicious of the transaction. After further research I realize my account was compromised and I called my bank to inform that It was not authorized but was told I have to contact the company. I contacted patreon and explained my situation and was denied a refund. I would like my refund for this service as I only had an account and never made any purchases myself.
