    I was working shifts a few years ago for Instawork and then some shift required a background check my account was immediately deactivated I had went through the steps to try to appeal but didnt know how I checked what the background stated but I have not been convicted of any crime. I feel as though I shouldnt be penalized for pending charges. Fast forward I tried to do Instawork this year & am still recieving the same deactivation statement in app I can no longer check the status because its past 12 months I just want to be able to accept shift again.

    instawork customer support is nonexistent. I answered a coach call a month ago while I was driving and asked if I could call back when I arrived at my destination. The instawork instructor I was speaking with for my coach call affectively confirming my reschedule. So when I arrived at my destination, I called the number back and it said to reschedule the call within the app. When I opened the app, it never gave me the option to set an appointment and still hasnt. I have filed many tickets on their websites through their customer support and through the app as well. I have gotten no help and I have gotten a little to no responses. I had also referred my boyfriend to the company for gig work and they have not reached out to his support tickets as well. I am looking for somebody to reach out to from Instawork to help me schedule a new coach call and get me approved for more positions. There is no reason why I should be losing money due to Instawork supports lack of follow up.

    My complaint is worse. Went to ************ from ********. Wasted a lot of money on transportation and travel accomodations. Shift partner was horrible. I was subjected to severe abuse. Removed myself when the partner wanted to abuse some more. Intsawork penalized me for refusing to allow the nastiest partner I ever worked in over 250 shifts on the app. Yeah. I want to take instawork to court. the partner was a nightmare and only I was penalized for it considering suing the partner and instawork

    What a joke instawork has become. Started off as such a great idea, and has turned into complete nonsense. I've been using instawork cooks in my establishments for well over a year now. I have never seen worse cooks in my life, I've paid out so much money to people that can barely hold a chefs knife, have no idea how to cook, no idea how to perform safely in a kitchen, etc. I genuinely don't understand how these people view themselves as cooks and expect to get paid as such. It's like walking into a doctor's ****** and pretending I know medicine, all my patients would die, and then saying I don't get paid enough. Complete and utter nonsense. Instawork is nothing but a scam. The food service industry was hit hard by covid, many places were and still are in need of help, what you are getting with instawork is the scraping off the bottom of the barrel, people that aren't competent enough to hold a real job so instead they take advantage of poor business owners day by day. When you tell them they are trash, they leave and go and do it to someone else. It's insanity. Instawork is one of many businesses that would make you lose faith in humanity.

    4/5/2023 Instawork refuses to pay me for over 8 hours of work at $12 for a shift because despite my location being tracked for over 6-7 hours they cut my time to 20 minutes and fraudulently said they could not track me which is false information because the app was tracking me the entire shift. The work location then denied my claim because the managers were goofing off the entire shift and not even around to see i was working. I will be taking this to ****** county small claims court and filing for the maximum penalty since they do not want to pay the income for working on their clock Im sure the university has plenty of cameras to verify i was on the property!

    I have worked for Instawork for about two years. Recently they have been holding workers money for up to a month. The tips we get for events are filed usually a week to two weeks after but it takes Instawork a long time to get it to us. When employers ask about our money they say is our bank or to file for their card. There is no one to talk to in person and we cant even respond to support on the same matter unless we creat a new thread.

    I used to this app to book a shift. I was in a car crash on the way to the shift. My phone was damaged so I couldnt use it to access the app to actually cancel the shift. I used my Apple Watch to reply to a message sent to me by the on-site contact to say I was in the crash. My account was still suspended for no show , even though I didnt even have a working phone and I replied to the on-site contacts text. How was I supposed to get there after being in a crash with no phone ? Instawork doesnt provide a way for us to call them so what was I supposed to do. I appealed the suspension because obviously I WAS IN A CAR CRASH and they denied my appeal and cancelled $1k worth of gigs I had scheduled this month. After working over 24 shifts for them last month. This company continues to show they have no desire to advocate for the people who use it for work and only care about the businesses they contract. I couldve lost my life ! And now my account is suspended and *** lost all the work I had for the month of April. Instawork is a joke

The app offers an automatic appeal option that was immediately denied on Instaworks end. So why would you reply to my complaint with an outright lie ?

    Me and another girl bartended at Dessert Diamind Arena on Dec 17, 2022. We received a receipt that showed we made ****** in tips. The manager at event said he pays instawork and they pay us. We have not received any tips and we keep getting told they are reviewing it. Or they are waiting for the partner to pay them. The girl I worked with called them and was told they paid them out. This is now going on 5 months and still we have not been paid. I have contacted support at least ten times already. Still nothing and we keep getting told the same thing. We should have gotten over 200 dollars each and we havent.
