What I went through with Tia was so bad. I don’t want someone else to have to go through what I did and what I’m still going through. In May of 2023 I went through something really terrible. I prefer to keep what happened to me private, but I had seen ads for TIA on Instagram. They basically claimed to be a one stop shop for healthcare for women. I was overwhelmed and the idea of a one stop shop was appealing to me. They let me know they took my insurance. Anthem Blue Cross. I scheduled a virtual consultation shortly after signing up. The woman collected information from me that was about it. I got a message saying that they didn’t take my insurance on June 7th and that I was going to be charged $333 for my intake. I was really upset because they told me they did take my insurance and I wouldn’t have set up an exam if they didn’t. I wrote them back immediately and wanted to discuss the matter. (I took screen shots of all of my communication with them) June 9th: I was told someone in billing would reach out to me June 16th: They reach out to me and say that there is nothing they can do but they can set up a payment plan for me to split the payment of $333 into payments. I let them know that this is unacceptable. The mistake was on them. June 22nd: I get a message saying that they are going to be charging my card for $333.The same time I get a message from a Tia representative saying that they DO ACCEPT MY INSURANCE. And they are sorry for the mix up. They email me back later to apologize, THAT THAT was an error and THEY DON'T accept my insurance. They billed me again. A complaint was filed in person on my end. NOTHING. A year passes, and I see they have charged my account for their $15 monthly fee 5/1/24 and 6/1/24. I emailed them and let them know I hadn’t been a member for a while and I’d like a refund. Instead of refunding me they billed me for $333 again 8/5/24 PLEASE do not use them. For your sanity please don’t use them. My experience was a nightmare.
