One Medical now sits at the crossroads of incompetence and negligence.Once a decent "concierge" provider, we spent an overnight in the ** for my 12-year-old child because several One Medical doctors failed to meet the basic standard of care this summer. The result was an almost life-threatening diagnosis by the ** doctors coupled with a ***** ****.Many lawyers called this a clear case of medical negligence. One Medical's lawyers, however, would not admit that their doctor caused harm by his obvious lack of diagnosis. This is one example of many over the years. Save your money for quality care.

Billed $121.60 for a Covid/influenza nasal swab. A four-pack of these swab kits retails for $49.99. Even if OneMedical was paying the retail (as opposed to wholesale) price for these kits, my bill represents an 873% markup. This nasal swab was suggested by the practitioner, who neither warned me of the price tag nor provided the test results after I left. Clearly Amazon is taking advantage of the rent-seeking opportunities afforded by U.S. healthcare.

I was told at the facility that I owe nothing for the visit and afterwards One Medical sent me a bill for $988. The visit was less than 5 minutes.

I think their membership fee is nothing more than a rip off. I have been given a new GP from my medical insurance. This Dr. works with Medical one. I was told by them I must FIRST pay a membership fee before they can possibly schedule me an appointment with this Dr. *** fee is for what? Im not aware of any other medical group that charge a fee for a membership, they get paid regardless. I consider this to be illegal & plan to escalate this dishonesty.

Visit a doctor once for a 25min conversation, and you will receive a $727 bill. Insurance will cover just under $200, and you will pay $535 out-of-pocket. They will not tell you that you will be charged. They will not share any pricing information. If you don't pay within two months they will send your bill to a debt collector. This experience left me scared and embarrassed. The doctor-patient trust relationship for me was broken. I feel like I was robbed. Receiving an surprise bill for $535 dollars just for talking to someone in a room for 25min caused me to suffer severe mental health challenges. This is malpractice. This is unethical. This is a complete lack of respect for patients. This is a billion dollar faceless corporation with zero empathy.

As an individual who infrequently visits medical facilities due to concerns regarding administrative billing and insurance matters, I made the decision to invest in an additional $200 annual membership fee with the aim of ensuring a streamlined and positive healthcare encounter. The initial appeal stemmed from the convenience of managing my information and scheduling appointments via the mobile application, which prompted my enrollment and initially left me satisfied with the interface.During one visit, my physician recommended a preventative vaccine, assuring me of its coverage under my PPO insurance plan. Reassured by both the coverage and my doctor's ********* I proceeded with the three-part vaccination. Approximately eight months subsequent to receiving the initial dose, I was surprised to receive a bill totaling $480 from OneMedical for the second dose. This discrepancy immediately raised concerns. Upon contacting their billing department and detailing the circumstances, I was informed that the matter would undergo further review, yet subsequent follow-*** yielded no resolution and/or responses. Months later, I reiterated my concerns in writing, only to encounter prolonged delays in response.Following multiple attempts to address the issue, a Senior Manager communicated that despite reaching out to my insurance provider, they claimed none of the vaccine doses were covered, resulting in an increased bill of $45 to $525. Contrary to this assertion, both my benefit plan and the insurance website explicitly state coverage of this vaccination at no cost to the patient. It has been the nightmare that's kept me from regular health visits.

*********************, shouldn't be working in the medical field or as a manager in any field for that matter. Worst service received from a so called manager of a healthcare establishment. Very rude and condescending.

One medical is a total ripoff. I made certain the provider was in network, yet they charged $700 IN ADDITION to the yearly membership fee for just a ***** minute visit with a general practitioner. Additionally, they majorly injured my arm when drawing blood, their app is mediocre, and their billing process is a mess.

My review is in 2 parts. *************** is a fine physician and ******, team health coach, was a delight. Unfortunately, thats where the good ends. It took 3 weeks for them to get referrals out. Today I know of only ONE of THREE that were sent to referring medical facilities. Next, my blood work results were back within 24 hours, were available online for me to access BUT when I called to see when someone would go over my results I was told it takes 10 days to two weeks before someone would call. Actually it took 3 weeks!!!One of the reasons I went to One Medical was I wanted a gerontologist. But the price I pay for that is just too high. I went in to the office today asking if I could be seen. I have a severe ear ache. Ive waited for a few days and its getting worse. I was told they do not see any patient on an urgent basis. A nurse practitioner will call me back by end of the day. Its hard to accept your primary care doctor wont see you. No amount of talking would change their decision. So off I went to urgent care then the ** if no one would help me. I went to urgent care, after the paperwork shuffle I was placed in a room. In less than 5 minutes I knew my diagnosis if only MY doctors office could have given me 5 minutes. ***. I will no longer go to this doctor. If they only want me when Im well they are not a full on medical professional. Their business model doesnt allow for this. So my wallet doesnt want them either!Seniors beware. They give a great talk but dont do the walk.
