    Dear *****,

Were so sorry for any frustration. To confirm, Catwalk Couture has been removed from the Giftly listings. Did your staff accept a Giftly as payment? If so, please let us know and we will reimburse you.

Just to briefly clarify our product, when someone receives a Giftly, they are receiving a monetary gift with a suggestion for how to spend that money. Recipients are instructed to visit the Giftly website, where they choose how to receive their money. When a Giftly recipient goes to a suggested business, they pay the full amount for their purchase using any accepted payment method.

The Giftly listings are curated from publicly available directories such as Yelp; our intention is to help promote merchants by allowing gift givers to suggest a business that they love or is local to a faraway recipient. Giftly provides a free online gifting presence for many merchants who do not have gift card programs, and it is a supplementary program for others that do. Nevertheless, we understand if merchants prefer not to be listed, and we honor all removal requests.

Please contact us directly at ********************************** if you have any further questions or concerns.

I am the owner of ********************************* and I am filing a formal complaint against a company called Giftly for unauthorized use of my business information and fraudulent gift card sales.Giftly has listed my business on their website and is selling gift cards under my business name without my consent or authorization. My business does not offer gift cards through Giftly, nor have we entered into any agreement with them. We have not asked them to create or distribute gift cards on our behalf it appears that Giftly has used my business details from ****** and falsely represented my ************ as a participating vendor. This misleads customers into believing these gift cards are legitimate, which could result in financial loss or confusion when clients attempt to redeem them at my business.I request that Giftly immediately remove my business from their website and cease any unauthorized sale of gift cards under my business. Additionally, I urge BBB to investigate this companys practices, as they may be affecting other small businesses in a similar fraudulent manner.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution.

Wanted to reach out about a scam going on with a very large tech company out of **********. Im surprised this hasnt been covered nationally yet. The company is ************************ Look up all the complaints on the bbb. They use our company as an example to take advantage of what I think an older generation to buy gift cards with them online. They use our name without authorization to sell gift cards on our behalf without consent. They even have an insane SEO going when you search our company and put gift cards they are number one in paid search and organic search. Then these people buy gift cards for their friends and they dont understand bc they think they are buying direct from us. The person receiving has to redeem online at ************************ and only has two options to receive a **** gift card or get money via ******. Most of the time they dont understand and bring the paper into the store without redeeming with them. From a business perspective huge problem! We have to train teenagers to not accept giftly paper as a form of payment it looks similar to our online gift cards and they get confused so we have take the financial hit on a few of these bc the cashiers dont ************** if we tell the customer we can accept this as payment they are ****** and they don't understand. Lastly, if they actually read the paper and redeem at ************************ we dont accept **** gift cards so they use our name to sell the gift card we never authorized and they cant redeem the **** gift card at our store. IF they go the ****** route and receive the money that way, they can use the money to go anywhere. Most seniors will never understand all of this. It takes advantage of people and uses the business.I dont know how this company is still in business. UNREAL BE AWARE OF THE ********

I purchased a $50.00 gift card for a specific restaurant (************* in ******, **) for a friend who was sick. The person tried to use the card which was rejected multiple times. Giftly explained to me the card used at a restaurant is subject to a 20% tip and therefore the card cannot be used for $50.00. I paid $55.00 for this card which is even worse. I bought this for a restaurant and I was not told the recipient cannot get the $50.00 value and it would cost them another $10.00 on top of it. Their website says 100% guarantee which is false because Giftly refuses to honor this as well. If I purchase a $50.00 gift card for $55.00 for sick people, I expect the value of the card should be $50.00. It was purchased specifically for a restaurant.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/11/2025

    Dear ******,

Were so sorry to hear of the trouble with your recipients gift card.

When customers pay with a credit card, some service-based merchants (like restaurants) add a 20% charge authorization on top of the bill assuming they will tip. With a regular credit card it typically goes unnoticed since there is more than enough funds available. However, on a gift card, it can cause the card to be declined if the total amount of the charge authorization exceeds the cards balance. Once the transaction settles, the 20% should be returned to the card.

Giftly attempts to alert cardholders to this possible issue by including a note in the confirmation email the recipient received when redeeming. If the card is used at a regular retailer, your recipient shouldnt encounter this issue.

Please reach out to us at ******************************** with more information so we can locate the card in question and better assist.

    Sincerely,

    Giftly Support

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Giftly, a company that has listed my business, ***** gift shop in ***********, **, on their website without my consent or authorization. Giftly is selling gift cards under my business name without our permission, and we have no affiliation with them in any capacity.Specifically, it appears that Giftly has used a web crawler to extract my business information from **** and falsely represented ***** as a participating vendor in their gift card program. However, my business does not offer gift cards through Giftly, nor have we entered into any agreement with them to create or distribute gift cards under our brand. This misrepresentation is misleading to potential customers and could result in confusion or financial loss for those who attempt to redeem these cards at my store.I request that Giftly immediately:Remove Oppas from their website and cease any unauthorized sale or promotion of gift cards using our store Provide confirmation in writing that all information regarding our business has been removed from their system and that no further sales of gift cards under our name will occur.Investigate the use of unauthorized web scraping tools to extract business details from online sources without consent. This unauthorized use of my business name could lead to significant financial and reputational damage, and I urge your office or relevant authority to investigate Giftlys practices. It is possible that other small businesses are being similarly affected, and a broader investigation may be necessary to prevent further harm.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and to a swift resolution.

Your business stated on your website that you could send the gift card immediately. That is a lie. You are sending an image of a gift card that has no gift card number and is not usable and no store at all. The front of your website where you encourage us to check out and buy now says nowhere about it is only a suggestion for them to shop at a certain store because they're not going to get the money for 2 to 3 days according to the receipt but on your frequently asked questions page it said it could take about six business days. Are you kidding? This was a birthday gift that was supposed to go to them today. I could have easily went to another company had you advertised correctly that this is not a gift card purchase at all but it is actually a funds transfer website. You take our money telling us you're going to give gift cards to someone right away via gift card. There is nothing about this that is a gift card. It's just a pretty pink cartoon image that says citi trends on it. Your website should make it very clear that these are not actually gift cards and no one will actually receive a gift card for the store that they chose. What we will receive is a piece of paper that suggest Citi Trends however City Trends doesn't even accept these gift cards because it's not a real gift card just like your website says that you cannot take it anywhere to any store and use it. You are a scam because you did not say that on the front page you did not say that on the promotion advertisement you did not say that in the email I did not find out until it was time for my daughter to redeem it that's when she learned that she's actually not going to get a birthday gift. It's going to come days later. And according to the reviews it seems like I may end up having to file a complaint or reverse this with my bank. You take money instantly but to get a refund when you say it's going to take a week before I get my money back? You took it instantly you should give it back instantly.

    Dear T,

    Were sorry for any frustration.

In a few places on our website, including a designated How It Works page and a disclosure on the checkout screen, we describe how Giftly works and that there is a step for the recipient to choose how to receive their funds. Gifts can be delivered immediately, but the redemption times vary depending on the selected redemption method.

We intend for this to be a convenient and flexible way to receive a gift and we do apologize if this was not the case for your recipient this time.

Your gift was cancelled on April 3 and a refund initiated. Refunds typically take 3-5 business days for your card issuer to process. We can be reached directly at ******************************** with any further questions.

This business is a ****. It is intended to trick well-intentioned, old, senile people using the internet, into paying a fee to get a generic debit card, thinking they are buying "gift cards" to specific businesses for friends or family, when they could just go to a real company website and buy a real gift card for free. They then make it difficult to activate the card, and check balances to make partial payments, pocketing unspent money on top of that. Hoping you'll just throw it in the trash rather than jump through all the hoops. There should be a class action lawsuit to shut them down to protect the elderly from being ripped off by them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! How do their employees sleep at night? The owner's sleep on a pile of gold, I bet.
