1 starRec'd a gift card from my daughter and she wanted me to use it at a local nail salon. Took it there, didn't end up getting my nails done, and then I couldn't find the card. Came across the Giftly email today, realized I had never found or used the card, and when I inquired their customer service told me where it had been used and when, including on ****** purchases. None of which were mine. The response to my card being used fraudulently was basically sorry, not our problem. Giftly could work with ****** and confirm it wasn't used by me, but they make no effort.Review fromAmanda T

1 starGiftly took it upon themselves to add my business to their site and confuse customers with gift card purchases. I did not authorize my business to be listed on their site for gift card purchases or anything else. I am upset the confusion this causes with my customers.Review fromMaria L

1 starCards do not get delivered by text as stated, resent to email, just to find out card cannot be used unless its transferred to bank, or ******? Or wait ***** days for a **** card? Ridiculous as card was sent for immediate use to purchase food and the recipient doesnt have any other option but to wait ***** days for a card? Completely disappointing and do not recommend to anyone using this service!Review fromEvangeline K

Website clearly states that there is no expiration date and no fees but that is completely untrue. If you choose to redeem your gift through their Omnicard partner, the gift will have an expiration date.and if the card is not used within one year, Omnicard will deduct $5 month for service fees. Why partner with a company that does not support their own platform? When Giftly was contacted, they passed the buck to Omnicard and said that they have different policies and there is nothing they can do. This is a fabulous business for Omnicard..there is probably quite a high percentage of recipients that forget to use their gift cards and Omnicard can begin poaching them after a year for $5/month. DO NOT USE.Giftly

Please do NOT waste your hard-earned money on Giftly. There are much better options and their customer service is terrible. I discussed an issue with them and was pretty much told, sorry *******, your out of luck. They could not help.I purchased a $50 Giftly card for a friend to use at his favorite restaurant. He tried it several times and it was always rejected. He spoke to Giftly and they told him he could only use it for the listed amount and if a charge was entered above the $50 it would be rejected. I was with him the next time he tried to use it and he told the waitress to only charge $50 of the bill to the Giftly card and he would pay the difference. STILL REJECTED. I felt bad for giving him the card he was having trouble using and gave him $50 cash and he gave me the card back.I tried using it for a $45.12 restaurant purchase and guess what. DECLINED. I looked at the transactions on ******************* as the card said on the back and saw that there was an attempt to charge $54.14 to the card. I tried using the card again at a different restaurant for a $36.49 charge. This time it was accepted but when I looked at the website there was $43.79 taken from the card.I called their customer service and asked why there was a difference between what I was using it for and the actual charge taken from the card. I was told that if I used it at a restaurant the restaurant put a 20% hold added to the card. Is that because they dont trust this shady company either??? I asked why this wasnt explained on the website when I purchased the card and was told that its on the website. I find it nowhere at all.Bottom line, DO NOT USED GIFTLY. Its not worth that hassle and Ill never be able to get the full amount of what I paid for it back.Giftly

Hi ***,We're so sorry for the trouble. To clarify, service-based merchants like restaurants have point of sale systems that tend to automatically add a 20% authorization. This is a fairly universal practice and the intention is to ensure that the cardholder has enough money to provide a tip. **** using a regular credit card, you typically have enough balance so you wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, this can cause a pre-paid gift card to decline if the amount exceeds the available balance. However, this 20% is removed once the charge actually settles. We understand your recipient asked the card not be charged for more than $50. However, in looking at the transaction history, the attempts prior to 3/28 were all above $50. Again, we're sorry for the trouble. Giftly includes the information about the 20% authorization both in the confirmation email the recipient received as well as inside the greeting card it arrives in. As mentioned, once a charge settles it should reflect correctly, just like on any credit card statement. We can see that the transaction history now shows the $36.49 charge. We don't have any communication from your email address or your recipient's email address that's on file. If you have any further questions, please contact us directly at ******************************** and we'll be happy to assist.GiftlyReview fromScott K
