I am a host, using Airbnb for advertising, for 8 years. Most of this time I was a Super Host because out of hundreds of guests' reviews, I had an average of 4.86 stars, out of 5 stars possible, when Airbnb has 1 star out of 5, and that 1 star is the lowest review somebody could ever give!!!Airbnb transferred all customer service in ****, mainly Philippine and ******These people have issues with the English language and general knowledge and capability to solve issues. A call with Airbnb, in this situation, lasts one hour or more, depending on our patience to listen to all their BS.After all these efforts, they will reverse with impunity all the decisions, previously made. A few days ago, they booked my rental for $25/night when my nightly price was $225. Instead of fixing their error, they threatened me with removing my Super Host status and other financial penalties if I cancel the bookings, wrongly made by them. Their customer service acts like they own the people making money for them, and I cannot stand this! They lack supervision and guidance, and motivate themselves by stating that they are applying the company's rules.I have 3 bookings for this month, but starting August 1st, I will cancel my 8 years membership and I will recover my piece of mind.No thank you, Airbnb!

Air bnb used to be a good company. I have been hosting for years. Now they don't pay the hosts. They will send you emails saying they are going to pay you. They don't pay. If you don't watch your patme ts as a host you will probably miss payment. They will say they payed you and send you emIls saying they paid you. The payments dont come in and they will continue to lie to their host. Air bnb has gone to s#it. If you are considering hosting a bnb use booking.com or just do long term rental. Air bnb not worth the hassle.

This response I just wrote to my Airbnb rep and up my issue. They need to make refunds when flights are cancelled easier. The past 24 hrs have given me a headache and a half!! RE:I have received 18 (18!) emails regarding this reservation/ cancellation/refund since the flight was cancelled less than 24 hrs ago!!! When I myself started out with one correspondence asking for a refund. It has been far more confusing than it has to be!! I had to search through all these emails to realize I am supposed to end up with a $459.42 refund as you stated,( because the amounts were all broken up in various emails) --- $459.42 which is the total amount of ALL the lodging charges minus the $28.71 travel insurance fee. That is fine. However it is truly ridiculous to have to go thru such a confusing maze for a simple refund. My complaint to the BBB will be that Air BnB needs to simplify this process. I have learned valued lessons for one who doesn't travel much--- one being I think hotels are alot easier to deal with if plans get cancelled. I know you tried and worked hard. The company has to do better not you. Thanks.

Ive been trying unsuccessfully to get ahold of AirBNB corporate. I logged a complaint on regards to an issue I was having with their customer service line and support. They then placed my account under review which makes it impossible to communicate with them . Ive tried social media, phone calls with escalation and no response. Twice I was lied to and given false information by their support phone reps. I now only wish to deactivate my account and they wont do this via phone. It has to be done through their support ticket system which I dont have access to because its been under review for a week. Ive asked for a direct email address and they provided me with a false email address (I spelled it out three times before I ended the cal to verify) which wasnt valid. This is one of many lies and misinformation they provided me with. Do not trust them with your data. They should be investigated and flagged for review as a company themselves. Im hoping to find another agency to log my complaint with because they refuse now to deactivate my account (multiple requests via their support number)

Airbnb is a scam site. People with messed up houses charging a full month rent for a 4 day stay. Damages emotionally, financially and a lot of stress. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM YOU WILL HATE YOUR LIFE!! I 100% regret contacting Airbnb . Used it only once and never again. I can keep going but please save yourself from a terrible and greedy company like Airbnb

I wish I could give this a negative rating. **************** is atrocious the people are nice but they cannot do anything. The app would not send me a code to verify my phone number and then told me I had used *** attempts. I called explained in detail my issue and the only answer I get is "sorry you have to wait 24 hours. It's unreal they cannot manually solve these issues.Use a different service when looking for a vacation or work rental.

I have several complaints regarding AirBnb that I believe need to be addressed. Problem #1: Poor customer's service: I had no option but to book with AirBnb for a trip on a weekend where no hotels were available. In the process of booking, I was required to provide a phone number to then receive a verification code. A verification code was never sent to my phone. I contacted customers service twice to solve a simple problem to which I was told would be fixed on one occasion, it was not fixed. I called customer's service again, and they proceeded to instruct me to use and internet browser instead to verify my phone number. Once again, it did not work and I got blocked from using my phone number for 24 hours from making too many attempts to just verify my phone number to create an account. The customers service employee essentially blamed me for making too many attempts and denied my request to speak to a supervisor to receive further help. I was upset with my experience with AirBnb employees and read up on more reviews that were left on the application reviews on the app store. Numerous individuals reported having the same exact problem as well as some more concerning legal problems regarding privacy issues, being scammed by hosts, and safety concerns where AirBnb failed to hold themselves accountable and to refund customers.Problem #2: We have had various homicides/shooting at AirBnBs in my community where AirBnb failed to further prevent dangerous guests from being allowed to lie about guests staying at AirBnb's. AirBnb failed their hosts and local authorities in the aftermath following these tragedies. Moral of the complaint: AirBnb lacks accountability and it needs to be addressed. Too many people and communities of people continue to get burned by this company and it is no wonder their stock has been in a steady decline.

I am sorry but my experience was absolutely horrible. Even worse my car was stolen :( at this location. Checking in wasn't nice and smooth. The code did not work to get in the building, I spend a lot of time trying to get a hold of someone, but automatic messages keep coming up. When a live person answered (host) he provided another code that did not worked either. Finally, some guys coming to the building let me get in but immediately I noticed those young guys looked like substance abusers. I always heard that Canada is safer than *** but believe me, it is not. Please search yourself the news how "Canada is The hub for stolen cars" It is so disappointing going on vacations willing to spend a few days on a new country, all of a sudden, your car got stolen. The building is unsafe, there was nobody on the building on vacations or friendly families, it was rather intimidating. When the police arrived, they search for cameras, but they found none. The host unresponsive. Americans need to know that we are being target every time we cross the border driving our cars. I wonder if Airbnb hosts are cooperating with such mafia in ******. ******* thousand cars got stolen in ****** every year. Can you believe it? I left that place immediately, never again!******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************.

Bottom line, my car got stolen while in an Airbnb. I reached out to Airbnb feeling unsafe, I received a random message telling me that someone will reach out to me, but they never did. I always heard that Canada was a safe country, however only after what happened to me, I ****** and realized that there are all kinds of news about thousands of cars stolen every year, in average every 6 minutes there is a stolen car report, can you believe it? *********************************************************************************************************************** I can't mention names or exact locations but my point is that there are some Airbnb rentals associated with car robbery corruption in ****** that are targeting Americans. They have the port right there in ******** QC then they ship stolen cars to ******. Please ****** it by yourself. I wished I knew before the fact. :( I used to be a huge fun of Airbnb but now we need to be more careful because when we travel those people know too much about us.
