We booked flights to Europe on July 25, 2019 for departure on May 26, 2020 through Alpha Flight Guru for the amount of $5758. We had to cancel the flight due to COVID and we were told we would receive a credit toward flights to Europe which needed to be booked by end of 2021. For the past several months, after over 10 phone calls and 25 emails, we have been unsuccessful in rebooking due to unreturned messages and mistakes on prospective itineraries. At this point, we wish to receive a refund so that we can book flights ourselves.Business response

Hello, I purchased a ticket for April 16th for my mom to fly into ****** from ****** through ******. A few days before the flight I found out that there will be a ban between ****** and ****** that will go into effect on the 15th of April. This was not confirmed by the government, but the media was already writing about it 3-4 days before the announcement happened. I had one day to make a change to the flight to fly my mom for April 14th. I was calling customer support 7 times throughout the day, their emergency line 3-4 times but I was getting the same answer - I was in the queue and no emergency line, not customer support was willing to help me to make the urgent changes. As a result, I lost my ticket. The ban was announced right the next day. I tried to do everything possible and impossible - calling travel agency - they would not get back to me, then I called airlines but they had no control over my ticket. travel agency promised to issue the refund and up until now I don't have itBusiness response
