    Complaint Type:
    Billing Issues
    Status:
    Answered
I have a lot of concerns about the multiple issues I've faced in the last few months with Foresight Mental Health. 1) Billing: A ***** bill was emailed to me with no explanation. I emailed back asking for clarification and nobody got back to me. I eventually did get ahold of someone, who said "oops we emailed those out by mistake, let me clear up your bill." -This issue alone raises red flags. If they knew it had happened, why not clear it on their own? Would they have refunded me if I'd paid or just quietly kept my money? Knowing that the company apparently went broke this summer doesn't assuage my fears. 2) My appointments weren't showing up in the portal. I've since heard from operations that this was a technical error and has been cleared up, but my concerns remain: why push hundreds of psychiatric appointments to a new platform that isn't ready to go? 3) My portal messages to my care provider did not seem to be getting through. 4) I ran out of multiple medications (yes multiple) and couldn't get connected with my provider to get refills. -Going off of my medication suddenly was physically and mentally very difficult. I had to miss work due to the side effects. In addition, I had to call the company multiple times and sit on several egregiously long holds (one was 45+ minutes) to get ahold of someone who could help. This level of carelessness is unacceptable, especially given Foresight's responsibility to people with severe and chronic mental illness. I'm good at self advocacy, but not everyone is. If this is how patients are being treated, how long until someone is significantly harmed or even killed because they can't access their medication. I have emailed the above details to the company twice now. I have had several calls from people who work at Foresight calling to ask if my refills ever got dealt with and if my appointments are set. They have completely ignored the concerns I've voiced. The higher ups need to answer for their negligence.

This organization pretends to offer in-person psychiatric services, which is why I contacted them. Before I could see a provider, I was required to fill out several forms that in turn required my SSN, name, address, etc. and highly detailed and sensitive psychiatric information related to my past and present. After that, I was only offered "care" by a nurse practitioner, via "telehealth," who was rude, judgemental, and totally ill-suited to my needs. When I requested they expunge all of the information they fooled me into providing them, they replied with a terse "Sorry, the law doesn't permit that." I fail to understand why they claim they must keep and be privy to all of this very sensitive, personal information--especially having obtained it in a deceitful way.
