I ordered plane tickets through budgetair (which is a 3rd party). I realized I bought tickets to the wrong location so I immediately cancelled the tickets. Received the confirmation of the cancellation and expected Id be refunded within the week. I didnt the the refund and reached out to ****** airline where the tickets were purchased and they responded and let me know they had already refunded the money to budgetair and to reach out to them. I reached out to them with the forwarded email, order number, and cancellation confirmation numbers. I received an email back saying that they were going to forward my email to their specialist and I would hear back within *******. I never heard back and never saw my refund of $464. I filed a dispute with my bank recently. This started at the beginning of February. I paid $5,100 for round trip flights from ****** to ************ on April 20th 2024 on BudgetAir via ********* There was a flight schedule change so the travel agent needed to reissue my flights with me details. They did not do so and the airline cancelled the return leg of our flights. Now we are getting half the service despite paying full amount.Contacting BudgetAir before the travel they promised to do the reissue. They have not done so and keep telling me to wait 24 hours for resolution. It has been over 5 days since with no update despite calling them, emailing and chatting.Initial Complaint

I ordered flight tickets from *** to TPE on May 2, 2023 (from budgetair.com which is owned by Travix). However, after booking the tickets, I decided to cancel them based on the bad reviews about the company. The cancellation process was successfully completed on May 24, 2023. However, I have not received my refund since then. I contacted the company more than *********************************************** within 48 hours, they did not follow through. I purchased a flight ticket with Budget Air from ******** to ****** in August.During booking, I was presented with three options for the ticket: 'Standard' (non-refundable), 'Plus' (80% refundable) and 'Complete' (100% refundable).I decided to purchase the 'Complete' package, which was an additional $236.I also added the **************** package' ($23) to remove any change/cancellation ******* no point during the booking process was I told these increases in costs were non-refundable. The only indication that the 'Cancel for Any Reason' was non-refundable was when I received an email from an unexpected third party '******' after they charged my credit card, in light grey text, that the refundable amount was only the flight cost. I noticed this only today, when preparing this complaint.On the day of travel, the flight was cancelled by the airline. I applied for a refund but Budget Air but they only refunded me the cost from the airline, but didn't refund extra money I paid for the 'Complete' ticket or 'the *************** Package' ($236 & $23).This practice by Budget Air feels deceptive and misleading to me. They withheld important information during the booking process about the non-refundable nature of the added cost of the 'Complete' ticket, or the **************** Package'. They present these three ticket options a complete cost, not additional service packages that are non-refundable. The 'Complete ticket' option says 100% refundable, so I should reasonably expect a 100% refund of everything I paid to Budget Air.I believe they are mistrustful and should not be deceiving customers like this.I would like Budget Air to refund me the full amount of costs associated with the 'Complete ticket' and the **************** Package' - $236 & $23 - total $259, in addition to the cost of the flight from the airline ($985, which I have already received).Initial Complaint

On May 24th I purchased 4 round-trip tickets for my relatives (******* to ******; ****** to *******) departing August 16. The BudgetAir.com website confirmation page doesn't show the arrival date but only the time. Only after digging further, did I realize that the arrival was two days later, including crossing the international date line, too late to start our Habitat for Humanity build project.I tried to call this company, no way to contact them by phone. The only phone I could find to dial dropped me after a long wait time. So I sent them a request to cancel within a couple hours of the original booking. The next day, May 25th I received an email acknowledging my request, so I spent the next two months waiting for information about the refund.Since BudgetAir.com had no replacement flight availability a day earlier, Aug 15, I went ahead booking the correct dates directly with Korean Air.Last Monday, unexpectedly I received emails from Philippine Airlines about seat changes to the original itinerary. ****** went off and I tried unsuccessfully to call BudgetAir.com. I called Philippine Airlines directly to see if we could get refund or credit. They said "no, you have to call the travel agent" and gave me a different # for BudgetAir.com. I called them and actually reached a human after 13 minutes, who pointed out to me that on their original email, acknowledging my request for cancel/refund, at the very bottom there's a note, which I hadn't seen, about having to reply yes to again tell them I wanted to cancel. "There was nothing he could do!"As it stands right now I have paid $6,700 for tickets that cannot be used and BudgetAir.com has pocketed my money. Why Kayak.com even lists a shady/scam operator like BudgetAir.com is beyond me. They are a cheating, no customer service operation and should be shut down in all the permutations and countries in which they operate. I was buying the flight ticket using ****** Flight and was directed to BudgetAir.com on Jul 8, 2024 at around 1pm. On the first page was the details of the flight, some columns for me to input my personal information. On that page, it mentioned that "Hand ****************** item included". I also clicked into the tab "Flight details" to view, "Free hand baggage is always included". Then I clicked into Ticket Conditions tab, it mentioned about 24 hours cancel promise with "Reservation Cancellations are permitted for no penalty provided all refunds are completed within 24 hours that reservations are made." I have read all the details in the page. Then, I paid for the ticket.After that, I received an email from BudgetAir with a e-ticket that said Luggage: Not included. I went online for online chat with varies agents. They all mentioned that hand baggage is not included and there will be no refund as the booking value is less than the administrative fee USD110. Then, I provided the screenshots I took showing the details I was able to see which I mentioned above in the first paragraph. The agent still said that the administrative fee will be applied anyhow and didnt help me with the refund even thought website was showing inconsistent detail.The company didn't provide any clear and easy to locate information regarding this on their purchase page. This misleading information leads to buyers thinking that there is no cost on cancellation within 24 hours period. Second misleading information is "hand luggage included" mentioned in the purchase page for several times, and turns out it is not included. This is clearly a scam to the buyer. They provide information that is not true to the buyers, and then change the details once the purchase has been made.I have tried emailing BudgetAir.com on the same day. I am writing to file a complaint regarding the service I received from budgetair.com from which I purchased 5 air tickets on TAP Airlines. The tickets were paid in full on Feb 2nd, 2024. Recently, I received an email notifying me of a change in the return flight schedule. The email lacked any contact information, phone number, or specific details about the changes made. Chat is the only way to contact them. The new proposed flight was scheduled very early in the morning, which was inconvenient. I did not approve this change and instead contacted the agency via chat to request a return to my original flight time. The new flight time was actually the same time as the original, but I didnt realize that it is a day earlier. I immediately contacted the agency to stop my approval within a minute of my approval. The agent assured me that my approval had been halted and that I would receive alternative options within ***** hours. However, the agent also mentioned that when airlines change schedules, it is often impossible to maintain the original itinerary.This situation is very concerning as I am traveling with my family, and all our reservations are non-refundable. This change not only shortens our vacation but also results in a significant financial loss.I urgently request your intervention to resolve this issue and reinstate my original flight. Your prompt assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively, I asked them to change the flight for 4 of us to stay a day longer (leave on the 18th) except one passenger that has to leave on the 17th. Although this will come with extra expenses, but I cant accept a day less and more expenses on my flight.They don't provide any option for a phone call, only chats and chat cuts off and responses are within ***** hours, which is too late for my upcoming flight in 6 days! Dear Better Business Bureau, Im writing to lodge a formal complaint against a budget air travel agency. Despite advertising flexibility for itinerary changes during ticket purchase, the agency refused to accommodate our request to change departure airports and date, as advertised on their website. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, with no phone support available. Additionally, the agency refused to rebook *********** after the airline changed our departure date, causing us to lose $2400.
