    I have been paying on a ******* loan for 2 years only ****** went toward the principal..I have been late..I make a payment and then I see they have turned over to a collection agency. I contact them and they say if I get caught up they will take the acct back. I make the payments ...my acct is still showing at collection agency..That is illegal to turn over to.collrctions..then take the payments...

    In February I was made aware of a debt that was supposedly owed to Upstart by Indebted. Upon checking my credit report it was reported as a delinquent account in the amount of $1117 and some change. I have filed previous complaints on Indebted to send the acct back to the original creditor Upstart as it is not mine. Since I have been disputing it. I have provided Upstart with numerous documents as they requested including a new and previous ************************ notice, letter from the ********************* to show that I have been a victim of Identity Theft, several police reports, notices from the ***, and a copy of my license. When ********************** provided me with the requested copies of the documents that were electronically signed for this debt, the signature on this does not match my signature anywhere close. This was discussed with them multiple times. When I spoke to Upstart in April I was told they would contact me back. Upon checking my credit it is now reported as charged off, delinquent. I called today, 5/14, and ****** advised me that it was charged off. All communications would be sent via email. I advised her that no collections or communication should be sent to me via email as it is not reliable. They should be contacting me via MAIL only. I requested with all the documentation that has been sent that this be removed from my credit immediately. She advised me that I needed to email them. No! I warned her that BBB and Atty ******* complaints were to follow since no actions were taken.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The response from this business is that they are preparing a response What about the last several months? I was contacted months ago by a third party, Indebted, regarding this after Upstart sent my information to them. I refused to give Indebted my personal information over the phone when they called (as I stated to them and all the previous complaints filed.) They continued to call and text me and I requested they stop both verbally and written. Their calls started with verification requests of date of birth, social, address, and personal information I advised them I do not give out because of situations like this. Now that Upstart has this and has had it, I have supplied them with documentation weeks (almost months now) and they are just now preparing a response? Yet I have five days to respond to the BBB complaint I filed against them? How do companies like this get away with attacking consumers like this? I have spent hours and hours trying to resolve this. Not to mention the damage it has done to my credit. This needs to be fixed. Theyve had enough time and enough documentation.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    This is the same response that the business originally responded with which is not a resolution. I have been trying to get this resolved for months and it still appears on my credit report. Now it it appears as delinquent. This debt is not mine and I have requested numerous times to have this resolved. I have provided document after document and still this business provides me trouble. Why are they preparing documents after months? That is not a resolution. At the beginning of April, per their request, I provided documents including my ID, police reports, and a ************************ report. I also have provided notices from the ***, other police reports, and a notice from the ********************* proving my identity theft. They still have yet to correct this. This is weighing on my financial stress and has started to weigh on my mental health from all the time and headache put forward from all of this.

    This complaint is regarding the inaccurate and potentially misleading reporting of my UPSTART NETW account ending in L227, dated 12/17/2021, with a balance of $7,104.00, and my UPSTA/FINWSE account ending in FW122, dated 05/25/2021, with a $0.00 balance. It is unacceptable for these accounts to remain on my credit report without proper, verifiable evidence of their legitimacy. The continued presence of these items, despite significant concerns about their accuracy, constitutes a reckless disregard for my rights as a consumer under the *****Under the ****, specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681i, credit bureaus are required to ensure that all items in a consumers file are accurate, complete, and verifiable. This means that any account reported on my credit file must be backed by comprehensive, original documentation, including signed agreements, accurate payment histories, and clear evidence of the debts validity. A zero balance account, like the one from UPSTA/FINWSE, should not be lingering on my credit report as a derogatory item, as it inaccurately reflects my financial responsibility and poses significant harm to my creditworthiness. Simply relying on superficial database checks or unsubstantiated data is not only insufficient but also a direct violation of my rights under federal law.I demand that the creditors, along with the involved credit bureaus, conduct a full and transparent investigation into these accounts. This should include a meticulous review of all underlying documentation, including original contracts, accurate payment records, and any other supporting documents used to validate these entries. I will not accept a generic, templated response or a checkbox investigation. If these accounts cannot be definitively verified as accurate, they must be promptly deleted from my credit report to prevent further financial harm. I have escalated this matter to the *** and the **** to ensure my rights are fully protected.

    I received Mail stating I was approved for 1,000-50,000 based on my hard work once moving to the website, they said I was not qualified and only qualified for ******. Was notified I should look at page 3 for qualifications but only received a two page document. I do not wish for reimbursement, I would appreciate less false advertising

    I am filing a complaint against UPSTART NETWORK ***** regarding account number *********, which is being reported with a $0.00 balance. While this balance may seem harmless, the continued presence of this account is negatively impacting my credit profile by suggesting unresolved derogatory history. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), creditors are required to furnish only accurate, complete, and relevant information. This zero-balance tradeline, which remains without any substantiating documentation, raises concerns about data integrity and potential mishandling. While I am not alleging identity fraud, the possibility that my personal data has been improperly managed or exposed cannot be ignored. I demand that this account be immediately removed unless full, certified validation can be provided. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will escalate it to the **** and explore legal remedies.     I applied for a personal loan on ***. May 4th and was approved. In order to finish the process I had to confirm my email. I tried several times to do so on their website with no response. Mon May 5th there still wasn't any way to confirm my email. I called and spoke with a *** (I can't recall name) who tried several times to resend the email to the email accounts I had with no luck. Today (5/6) I called again to tell them I had another email they could try that would deliver to my email they had on file. So, both email accounts would receive the ********* could proceed with the process. The *** ******* more or less refused to do that. I tried to explain what the other *** on 5/5 had done & she still refused and was rather abrupt with **** need this loan for an emergency that has come up and I am getting absolutely nowhere with anyone at Upstart.

It's like a form letter or whatever to send someone thinking this will cover their tail feathers and stop any further communication.
