Forge Trust maintains a competitive fee schedule for self-directed IRAs. We worked with the client to transfer their account as requested.

Forge Trust is way too money angry, they charge my account hundreds of dollars to close it and refuse to refund my 3rd Q fee of $25 and $85, this is not a good way to take care of customers, don't you think charging a customer $275 to close an account is enough?Terrible expensive company, stay far far away!

Horrible service. Here's just one of the many issues I've experienced with FT. On 5/8/22 my borrower made two $416.67 ACH deposits to Forge for two loans I made to him. He had made the payments on the same day of month, for the same amounts and using the same method he had been using since the first payments in November, 2021. When the 6/30 statements were finally posted around the last week of July, I noticed the payments hadn't been recorded to my account. On 8/1 I sent a message via FT's website contact form. After getting no reply I called on 8/3 and got an email saying they'd get back to me. I heard nothing till I got an automated email notifying me of two deposits on 8/9 the deposits in question. On 8/9 I emailed asking for an explanation of the lost deposits. A reply email said they were researching the issue and, once they determined the cause, would let me know. After hearing nothing again, I emailed on 8/16 asking for an explanation for the lost deposits. This was their response: " Thank you again for your patience with this matter. As we are looking into this matter more heavily to prevent more future occurrences, we are making certain adjustments to our current day to day processes so we can catch any further payments that post to the bank later in the day." That was the last communication from FT on this matter. One would think a company regulated by the ************* of ******* would be required to have procedures in place to account for every *****. This is the 2nd time it's taken multiple calls and emails in order for them to locate and properly deposit funds to my account. I'd give a negative star rating if that were possible.

They turned me down then they had the nerve to send me a **** for $277 for services!!! "Thank you for your recent registration with Forge. Based on the information provided, we are unable to qualify you as an accredited investor as specified by Regulation D of the Securities Act of ****." Thank my lucky stars for that. I was on hold at #5 in the waiting list. Waited 1 hour, called back and they said they held my place but now I'm #6! How did that happen. What a mess!

I would strongly recommend that people avoid doing business with Forge Trust.I discovered two months ago that an asset in a self directed *** that I owned in Forge Trust had not been rolled over into another company as directed by that company in 2017. For five years I have been paying fees on an asset in a company that did not exist. I contacted the managing partner of the company of the original asset, who sent a letter to Forge Trust confirming that the roll over was to have taken place. I was asked to provide a "statement" before this could happen, but despite a request for clarification to Forge Trust from both the managing partner and myself on several occasions, no one contacted us with clarification. I have now talked to six people at Forge Trust, several of whom sounded as if they would sincerely like to help, but one person failed to call me on 7/11/2022 as promised with an update on the status of the asset, and another stopped responding to phone calls and emails last week. With the help of a Fidelity representative today, who is assisting with the transfer of available cash to Fidelity, we spoke to yet another person, who simply indicated that the compliance team was working on this issue. After I was charged an $100 quarterly fee by Forge Trust for this non existent asset yesterday, I have no confidence that this issue will be resolved by talking to a representative at Forge Trust. It was not surprising to me that when the Fidelity representative asked the Forge Trust representative to confirm receipt of a transfer form for all available cash, which had been faxed the previous day to a fax number that she confirmed, the Forge Trust representative could not locate that document. My concern at this time is that the company is not only incompetent but is malicious.I would appreciate a response from the company:Thank-you for your attention to this matter.

We were able to utilize the supporting documentation provided to us by the client regarding the rollover of her asset within her ***. Additionally, the one hundred dollars in quarterly fees were waived for the client. We were able to work with the client and her successor custodian to receive their transfer documents and ensured that the client's account has been successfully transferred.

While I didn't have a particular "issue" with Forge Trust (although I rarely interacted with Customer Support), their fees more than doubled in the few years I was a customer. This last letter on May 31, 2022 was the last straw - $440 per year to do practically nothing and hold a single *** LLC? I transferred to IRAR and am enjoying great service at a fraction of the cost.

I received an Email recently from FT stating that I was required to call FT to confirm my written instructions to transfer out some cash to another custodian. I tried reaching FT by phone many times over a three day period. The first of two phone numbers (650-351-xxxx) provided by FT in the Email took me to a recording saying to leave a message . I did so multiple times. No call back was ever received. The second number given by FT was 800-248-xxxx. When I called many times over the three days, I got a recording saying the call could "not be completed at this time, call again later." I sent a message via the FT website. And, I sent a reply to the original Email describing the difficulties encountered. None of these many attempts resulted in FT contacting me over the three days. Today I found this page with reviews of FT. I noticed a phone number -- 650-591-xxxx. This phone number is neither found on the FT website, nor on the letterhead of a letter I just received from FT, nor on monthly account statements. So, it would seem that FT does not want customers to know about it. I called the number and was finally able to speak with a FT representative, who took care of recording my "verification" call. I mentioned to him the problems I had been have communicating with FT. If FT were my firm, I would have at least attempted to take the edge off of the customer's frustration by apologizing for the difficulties encountered, and saying I would report our conversation to those who could fix the problems. But....this, after all, was an FT employee. So all that I got was an imaginary shrug of the shoulders. Continuation of my long tenure with FT/IRA Services needs to be evaluated.

As a part of our transfer out process, Forge Trust requires a verbal confirmation. The first phone number listed in the email the client received is a direct line for a Forge Trust representative, and as such they can be unavailable at times. During the client's attempts to contact us over the phone at our number of ************, no reported outages occurred as other clients had called and spoken with representatives. Forge Trust takes any reportage outage seriously and is investigated promptly when we are informed. The phone number listed on BBB is not actively published, but does connect with our primary phone tree at ************. After speaking with our representative, this transfer was promptly completed for the client the next business day.
