I had a AAA membership which was canceled without my consent by one of the employees. Since AAA employees work remotely, this complaint isnt re: this particular location, but AAA So. California as a whole. I received a bill from AAA So. California that was mailed to **, where I now reside. I paid the bill, only to receive a bill from AAA South saying that my membership pymt was due! I called the number on my card, was told that the payment that I sent was supposed to be sent to AAA South, since AAA So. *** obviously knew that I was no longer in So. Cal. To correct this, I have spoken to 11 people; I have asked to speak to a supervisor 3 times and have been put on hold waiting for a supervisor in excess of 30 minutes, at which point I hung up. This is a long story, but the bottom line is that AAA of So. Cal has totally dropped the ball. I have yet to receive a refund, which ** told should have happened since they didnt transfer my account, which was the proper procedure, my membership was cancelled w/o my being advised, and I havent been able to speak to a supervisor to fix this problem. I once had respect for AAA, I dont anymore.Review from Vic S

I called for a new battery which was under warranty. The tech told me there was something else wrong with my car. I called again for a new battery. This tech checked and I agreed I needed a new battery but now it's out of warranty and I had to pay a discounted amount only to realize it was no real discount but what the battery normally costs.I feel I was ripped off! I would give a 0 if possible.Review from LL F

I warned United in ****** in **********, AL about the guy thats been booked on upgraded Murder Charges for allegedly shooting a man in cold blood 8 times. Hes in jail with no bond! I tried contacting AAA and this entity here since November of last year. *************************** Vandalized my car and terrorized my family for months. No one took us seriously. Law enforcement went to Mr. ******** place of work, United Towing and ******** Services and he told them that it was I that chased him, Never mind we found him waiting on my block. I did not cd until he started chasing us on the road. I have pictures and video. But somehow everyone sided with ********. ***** makes you wonder what he does got United Toeing & ******** Services. AAAs Public Relations told me that this is the company that leads Alabamas AAA services. Hence my complaint bring lodged here No one made me whole, I lost my job, my car still isnt working right after spending thousands of dollars on it, plus Id purchased it cash and was happy finds the car operated so well, No one made me whole. Now his credibility is gone for sure, but who makes me should now?Review from Monique W

I have been charged for AAA membership that I did not approve nor did I give my credit card number. I have been a member for 27 years and just realized that my card was being charged for the past 5 years for an additional membership. Since everything is digital or eletronic I don't look at statements and just happen to look at the statement and notice I had an additional membership charge. When I called and sent in the credit card statements they said that my son called in and gave my credit card info which is not true. I believe when my sons became of a certain age that AAA just started an additional membership and used the card that is on file without my permission. Now I have to dispute these charges over $500 and I am upset.Review from Deb P

I had auto insurance with AAA out of Ft *****, ** for 4 years. I called my agent to discuss the hike in the premium. He said he'd get right back to me, I waited 1 week and never heard back. I researched other companies & got new insurance. With 2 weeks left before my policy expired, I called *********** them an email to tell them NOT to deduct a payment from my credit card and was told it was taken care of. 2 weeks later, they deducted the $700 payment. I immediately contacted them again, cc'ing the office manager, who admitted it was the agent's ********* was assured they would immediately issue a refund. That was last *********** still not showing up on my account. I always see credits immediately. I notified them this morning that I reported this issue through my credit card and I am filing a complaint with BBB. I also found out that we did NOT have insurance for uninsured motorists, which I had asked for. So, I was paying a much higher premium for less insurance.Review from Edward M

Poor service. Give you the run around, Lies and takes their sweet time. I was involved in a accident that was my fault. The police gave me 2 years expired insurance card. Then let the Owener of the vehicle drive off. Now I'm on the bus. My claims specialist ***** has a assistant neither of the has made a attempt to settle this. I've been a member for 8 years. I have uninsured motorist and under insured. They hit me where my spare battery is I pay custom insurance for that system. Adjuster **** got lost and ended up in long Beach cause he couldn't read the instructions that they provided. Prolong me another day. Didn't listen to say the electrical system is damaged, spadomiter does work. That means the ecm is damaged eclecticial system including the radio system. 2 or 3 days later my vehicle shut down on the 91 fwy . Transmission silinoied went out due to malfunctioning. They towed my car to a ********************** facility and they don't know which one the driver took it to. Any car has a Vin number to knowbwhat vehicle it is. My son ******* LICENSE PLATES I WANTED TO KEEP BECAUSE ITS HIS NAME. NOW IM **** CATCHING THE BUS EVERYWHERE CAUSE I LOANED MY CAR OUT TO MY FUTURE QUEEN. ********************** TOLD ME ***** WOULD BE IN ON MONDAY .THAT WAS A LIE. THEN TOLD ME SHE WOULD BE AVAILABLE ON THE 15TH. WHICH IS A ANOTHER 4 DAYS. *** TALKED *** AND SEVERAL OTHER REPRESENTATIVES OF ********************** ALL LOLLY GAGGING ON THEIR JOBS. Worst possible company ever. I have used AAA for many years!! Never again!! They lied and said a tow truck was on the way and it never showed up!! Triple A sucks!!!!!! The tow truck Company said they told Triple A they couldn't come!!! Triple A = liars!!!Review from David S

I've had AAA for 7 years, no claims during that time. I have 4 vehicles, 3 drivers and my homeowner's insurance through them. I attempted to make my first claim this winter when I had some minor leaks from the rain, the AAA adjuster said they don't cover roof leaks on houses more than 10 years old........what?!?!?!Ok fine, I paid to have these minor leaks repaired out of pocket, $6k. Not a huge deal.We did have some drywall damage from the leaks so before having those repaired, I had a mold test done (paid for by me) just to ensure the house was safe for me and my Family. Turns out we have some Black Mold. Again, I attempted to make a claim on the Balck Mold, oh not covered either......what?!?!So AAA has no problem taking the money out of your account every month, but when you need to actually use their services, you're paying for......they don't cover it.I thought I was protecting my assets by going with AAA and overpaying for insurance, I guess I was wrong. I've cancelled all of my policies.Whatever you do........do not use AAA as an insurance provider. Use someone else, anyone else!Review from Liang C

On March 23, 2024 I was given a lower auto insurance quote when bundling with AAA's home insurance policy at ****** location on ***** Drive. Then, I decided to switch my current auto and home insurance as quoted by signing the all documents required. I was then told by the agent that a hardcopy of insurance policy declaration page will be mailed to home. After more than a month, I still haven't received the mailed documents. Then, I went to the local office trying to discuss with the agent who has quoted me for the policy, but the front desk clerk kept telling me she was busy and unable to see me today after more than one hour of wait. I couldn't wait anymore because I have other appointment, and talked to the front desk clerk, and she said she would take my name down and have the agent email me with the requested information. Again, there was no email nor any phone call received about my request. I went to the local office again, the other agent helped me to print out the declaration page I asked for. However, there are couple discrepancies found on the effective/ current policy. One, the insurance premium is more than $ 150 for the 12-month policy. Also, the agent failed to remove the bodily injury and collision coverages as requested since the second vehicle has been stored in my garage for years for being in non-operational status ever since I was deployed to ***** for the last three years on a military active duty order. This was not the first time incident happened with AAA. Last time the same discrepancies occurred when I dealt with another agent at ************ location on ************* where the same kind of discrepancy between quoted rate and the actual rate being charged on the insurance policy declaration page.
