I recently contacted **** Thompson RV to schedule a general service appointment for my 2021 Forest River travel trailer. The service writer I spoke with was friendly at first, and we got my info into the system quickly. However, when we discussed pricing, I was surprised to learn the quote was over $500 more than Camping World for the exact same service. That wasnt the biggest issue, though. What really stood out was the lack of flexibility and customer care. Despite the service department being slow and able to get me in the very next day (while Camping World was booked 40 days out), I was told, We dont change prices, and I dont have that power, when I asked if there was anyone I could speak to about possibly matching or discussing the price. I explained that I was a local customer hoping to establish a long-term service relationship, but the request was dismissed without any effort to escalate or ******* felt like the service writer either lacked training or simply didnt have the tools or empowerment to recognize a genuine opportunity to win a new, loyal customer. I left the conversation feeling disappointed that a company of this size wasnt more focused on building relationshipsespecially when I was ready and willing to spend thousands.Camping World quoted $1,250 for general service. **** Thompson RV? $1,700 plus parts. Maybe thats why one service department is booked for weeks and the other is empty.I hope this feedback reaches leadership and helps highlight the value of investing in customer service and team empowerment.

To whom it may concern, We came to pick up the 2017 Hymer Aktiv 2.0 last Friday January 31st at the Colton Dealership the van was not ready as promised by the saleslady ******* *********** of the eco trek switches will not light up and the batteries were weak, (I guess that's why it was on shore power only), the "Technicians" did not know the size of the inverter, the type and size of the coach batteries or even if there was solar panels on top of the van, (there are 3).The saleslady ******* *******, promised that every thing will be in working conditions but could not provide any written report or checklist of the items done during service, nor a copy of the Carfox, or smog report. We only received one key for the van and the key for the cassette toilet is missing, the shroud to cover the generator was missing also and no Spare tire.Very disappointed the way the purchase was handled, very unprofessional for a dealer of this ************* ******* will not return our deposit even though I was told by the financing lady the Sunday before that it was refundable, we were even willing to pay a for any service done to prep the van but she will not negotiate nor even show us in writing what was done to the van during "so-called" service.I would like you provide me the spare key for the van, the key for the Cassette toilet, a PDF of the Carfox, a copy of the service done to prep the van and a copy of the receipt for the Engine's battery that it was supposed to the replaced but Ms. ******* never supplied proof of it.Thank you for your cooperation,**** Carlos ******

The *** at the Colton location spoke with the customer on Saturday when the unit was dropped off for service. He and his team are working closely with the service department and the customer to resolve all issues.

We have dropped off the van at the Colton Dealership, Mr. ***** *******, the manager, listen to our concerns and promised to inspect the van and have the electrical and the coach batteries inspected, we also found rodent intrusion damage in the engine compartment and made him aware of that and he assured us he will have a competent technician inspect and if needed, fix the wiring.I will update once we get the van back for the dealer ship.

Someone needs to put a stop to this company. They are stealing money from people through their service department. ******* **** - Manager at the Fountain Valley, ** location needs to be fired. She smiles at your while her employees are gaslighting you. Evil women. Her family must be just as evil as her. The techs in there and the employees are all lazy, totally dont care about the customer. They lied to my wife and I about service, made us sign paperwork that we didnt fully understand. Basically went in for a recall on the coach, then they did all this "needed services" that of course were not covered in the warranty or the service contract. Thats their game. Find loopholes that they can charge you for. Worst company ever.

STAY AWAY FROM **** Thompson RV, Colton, **. They are liars, and steal items out of your trailer while holding it hostage for repairs. I bought my trailer in April of 2024 and STILL haven't been able to use it because it literally fell apart. THIS COMPANY does NOT stand behind what they sale, they point fingers at everyone else, ignore you, treat you like s*** and are 100% sexiest. I hate this company and will never ever step foot on their lot again. I am looking for a lawyer to create a class action law suit, Contact me if you are interested in joining the law suit. DO NOT give this place one dime, they will smile and lie to your face then treat you horrible when you contact them about any problems.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!! THE INSANITY THAT WILL HSPPEN AFTER DRIVING THIS ** OFF THE *** IS NOT WORTH IT.**** Thompsons will outright sell you a malfunctioning **, while smiling to your face and probably laughing at the idiot that trusted them to be decent business people and not sell you a POS **.You see, my stabilizer or leveler isn't working properly since day one!Two and a half weeks after purchasing this ** in October, my fridge broke and it wasn't fixed until February! Then the replacement fridge, after less than a month of having it also stops working! They either want me to bring it in for a week and longer, even though I stated from the very beginning before, during and after purchase that I will not be able to bring in this ** and it will be in a location long-term- or I have to pay for the fridge and repairs.I bought the most expensive insurance to ensure I'm covered for everything possible, but it doesn't matter because it won't cover their own malfunctions unless I take it in for probably a month for them to try to fix it since they obviously didn't do a thorough inspection on the ** to begin with.

The Fountain Valley location willfully sold a young family an RV with extensive material defects including water damage. They refuse to acknowledge their wrongdoing or provide the inspection report from the sale. People far and wide have heard their story through social media and have requested that MTRV resolve the issue, but they have instead deleted comments, blocked people, and are still refusing help to a family with six kids, left without a working furnace (which supposedly was replaced at time of sale) in 20 temps.

The absolute worst place to buy an RV or have it serviced! (Read to the end) I will never step foot on their lot again. Period. I do not write bad reviews. I have waited to write the review to see if I would "cool" off but the anger this has caused still exists. However, this is the exception for me. I purchased our ************ through **** Thompson in Colton. The sales team was great until we got to finance, this is where the nightmare begins... The finance team jerked us around on interest rates, if we bought a certain upsell package, we would get a better interest rate... BS! Then the transfer of the title was a pain because they didn't want to deal with the *** paperwork from another state. (This is all child's play) We were willing to deal with it because this is the rig we wanted! We then had to take it in for service for severe issues (Frame issues). We not only got the worst service I have ever gotten but we got the run around the whole time. Long story short, I have evidence of the technicians going through our person items, sleeping on my couch, doing random things in our rig. This is our home as we live in it full time. The violated my space! They did not accomplish anything in the time that it was there. When confronting the manager, all he could say was it was embarrassing and did nothing further. I had to take my rig to the manufacture to get the issues resolved. I have blurred the culprits faces. DO NOT GIVE **** THOMPSON ANY OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!

I stand corrected in my judgement of this dealership, thanks to the kindness and understanding of their GM, Mark Rosenbaum. He has turned things around for me, after a year long battle, with my RV, that I purchased at Mike Thompson RV in Colton. Nobody, heard my complaints or empathized with me until Mark took over. Thank you MTRV for having an understanding man like Mark!

I've asked multiple times, even through the service manager to get a copy of work that needed to be done to my trailer. I started asking in April 2022 and to date June 2022, still haven't received the requested information. Also, as a woman owner, I felt that I wasn't treated in the same manner as a male owner. I was told I had to have my frig and a/c unit checked, even though both had just been used at a cost of $1600. I do not plan to return.
